실시간 가중 회기최소자승법을 사용한 익일 부하예측 (Real-Time Building Load Prediction by the On-Line Weighted Recursive Least Square Method)

  • The energy conservation is one of the most important issues in recent years. Especially, the energy conservation through improved control strategies is one of the most highly possible area to be implemented in the near future. The energy conservation of the ice storage system can be accomplished through the improved control strategies. A real time building load prediction algorithm was developed. The expected highest and the lowest outdoor temperature of the next day were used to estimate the next day outdoor temperature profile. The measured dry bulb temperature and the measured building load were used to estimate system parameters by using the on-line weighted recursive least square method. The estimated hourly outdoor temperatures and the estimated hourly system parameters were used to predict the next day hourly building loads. In order to see the effectiveness of the building load prediction algorithm, two different types of building models were selected and analysed. The simulation results show less than 1% in error for the prediction of the next day building loads. Therefore, this algorithm may successfully be used for the development of improved control algorithms of the ice storage system.

  • CFC계 냉매에 의한 지구환경문제 야기, 여름철 피크전력의 증가뿐만 아니라 열회수 시스템에서의 손실로 인하여 고성능 흡수냉동시스템의 개발은 이 문제를 해결할 수 있는 유망한 방법중의 하나이다. 하수처리수를 이용한 흡수식 냉동시스템은 환경보호와 에너지 보존의 측면에서 유용하다. 본 연구에서는 2중효용 병렬 및 직렬방식에 대한 사이클 시뮬레이션 해석을 수행하였다. 신작동매체로 LiBr+LiI+LiCl+LiNO3 용액을 선택하였다. 이 연구의 주된 목적은 흡수기와 응축기의 냉각수로써 하수처리수를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있는 가능성을 평가하는 것과 2중효용 병렬과 직렬방식에 영향을 미치는 신작동매체의 특성을 파악하고 최적설계조건을 찾고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 사이클 시뮬레이션을 통하여 신작동매체를 사용하는 흡수식 냉동기의 특성을 파악했으며 이를 기존의 LiBr 수용액을 사용하는 흡수식 냉동기와 비교평가하였다. 신작동매체를 이용한 흡수식 냉동기는 LiBr 수용액을 사용하는 경우보다 COP의 향상과 시스템의 소형화가 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

지역별 프리쿨링 시스템의 에너지 절감 분석 (Analysis of Energy Reduction of Free Cooling System with Regions of South Korea)

  • Using low outdoor temperature, free cooling system is used in a data center or industrial air-conditioning for energy saving. Because use of IT equipment has increased in some office building recently, there is a growing trend towards using free cooing system. Free cooling system performance is influenced by outdoor temperature. Therefore the performance is different with regions. In this study, performance characteristic of free cooling system is analysed and energy reduction is compared with some regions. Selected regions are 4 cities; including Ulsan analyzed in preceding research, Seoul, ChunCheon and Daejeon. The Aspentech software HYSYS 8.0v was used to conduct the analysis of free cooling system based on temperature per hour of 4 cities in 2013, respectively. The main result is following as. Free cooing system in this study has energy saving effect when outdoor temperature below $7^{\circ}C$. Becuase temperature of Chuncheon is relatively low, using free cooling system can conserve most air-conditioning energy. Energy reduction amount of Seoul is 11%, Chuncheon is 17.5%, Deajeon is 15%, Ulsan is 14%. In case of large scale of air-conditioning, it is reasonable to use free cooling system although the system is used in Seoul.

고분 공조시스템의 운전특성 및 제습부하에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance and Dehumidification Load of an HVAC System for Conservation of Ancient Tombs)

  • Although the importance of good conservation of historical sites including ancient royal tombs is well aware, still not much attention has been paid for facilities to realize it. There are numerous ancient royal tombs spread in Korean peninsula which are opened and some of them are selectively on display for public access. However, the conservation measures of these sites have not been seriously investigated. Even the level of understanding of the underground environment of tombs is not satisfactory. In the present study, we focus on the dehumidification loads to maintain appropriate conservation conditions in terms of temperature and humidity. Two experimental tombs different in size were built in KNU (Kongju National University) campus with the dimensions ($L{\times}W{\times}H$) of $1.0m{\times}2.8m{\times}1.0m\;and\;1.3m{\times}3.0m{\time}1.2m$, respectively, HVAC systems are installed to maintain a suitable condition for conservation, i.e., $22{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ in temperature and $55{\pm}5%$ in relative humidity. The condensed water are measured to estimate the dehumidification loads while the temperature and the humidity inside the tombs were maintained within the specified range.

과냉각을 동반한 동결과정의 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis for Cooling and Freezing Processes with Subcooling)

  • In this study, which focuses on ice storage, a fundamental study in cooling and solidification was performed, including the interesting phenomena of density inversion, supercooling and dendritic ice. A numerical study was performed for natural convection and ice formation considering existence of subcooling and dendritic ice were analyzed numerically by using finite difference method and boundary fixing method. In the mesh, the solid fraction was introduced with adding as a term to the energy conservation equation. A flow in the dendrite was modelled as a flow in a porous medium, and the momentum conservation equation was modified to incorporate resistance forces involved in flows through porous media. A numerical solution of the time dependencies of dendrite area and dense ice front was successfully obtained, and the numerical results were good agreement with experimental results. Based on this methodology, a discussion was made of phenomena and characteristics of cooling and freezing processes under various conditions.

실내수영장의 에너지 소비요소별 에너지 절약효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Energy Conservation Effect of Each Energy Consumption Component In Indoor Swimming Pools)

  • The objective of this study is to develop energy saving strategies for indoor swimming pools and to estimate the effect of each energy saving strategy. For this purpose, field measurements regarding pool water heating energy, domestic hot water heating energy are conducted and a base energy consumption model is implemented using the DOE-2.1E program. The results of the study reveal that 25% of the total pool water heating energy may be saved by using night time pool covers, 27% of the total domestic hot water heating energy may be saved by using a waste water heat recovery system (effic. 60%), and of the total ventilation energy may be saved using an exhaust air heat recovery system (effic. 60%).

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the amount of heating, domestic hot water, and cooking fuel consumption with that of heating fuel consumption by the existing calculation method and to provide rational heating system design and energy conservation through presenting the simplified equation which can anticipate the amount of heating, domestic hot water, and cooking and the load mechanical equipments. The affecting factors to the amount of energy consumption are the case of Heating, Domestic Hot Water and Cooking in addition to the energy conservation intention.

건물에너지 모니터링 및 시뮬레이션을 활용한 신축건물의 에너지성능평가 (Energy Performance Evaluation of a New Commercial Building using Calibrated As-built Simulation with Monitoring Data)

  • The performance evaluation of a new building is becoming more important because efficient design alone is often not sufficient to deliver an efficient building. However, there is a lack of standard evaluation methods to measure the energy performance of a new construction that has Energy Conservation Design Measures(ECDMs). This study presents an enhanced method based on calibrated whole-building simulation for evaluating the energy performance of new commercial buildings and demonstrates its use using a case-study building, including: an Energy Use Index(EUI) comparison with sub-metered data and an evaluation of the performance of specific ECDMs. The use of this method has determined that the case-study building was shown to use approximately 47% less energy than the base-case building that has the same shape and function as the case-study building(i.e., calibrated as-built simulation mode]), but doesn't include the simulated ECDMs.

멀티형 냉방시스템의 압축기 제어 (Compressor Control of a Multi-type AIr Conditioning System)

  • For the compressor speed control of a multi-type air conditioning system, a fuzzy control algorithm was developed. The sum of zone temperature errors and its derivative were used as input variables, and the compressor speed was selected as the output variable. To test the effectiveness of the control algorithm, one outdoor environmental chamber and four indoor environmental chambers were used. In the chambers the zone temperature step change test and the indoor unit change over test were performed. Test results showed that, for the control of compressor speed, the fuzzy control algorithm was more effective than the conventional proportional control algorithm for the energy conservation.

The Proposal of a Quantitative Evaluation Method on Mixing Loss in the HVAC System Design

  • It is a serous subject for energy conservation to prevent the energy loss caused by the mixture of heated and cooled air jets in perimeter and interior zone of a building operated with tow kinds of air-conditioning system simultaneously. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the quantitative and qualitative mechanisms of mixing loss and to propose a evaluation method for it. By using the dynamic heat load calculation, heat extraction load of a typical office building in Busan are calculated. According to the results, numerical simulations based on CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) were performed in order to evaluate mixing loss in the physical size of HVAC system. Then, the distributions of air temperature and airflow patterns according to the differences of set-point temperature are analyzed to grasp relations how to influence mixing loss.
