  • This paper proposes a algebraic parameter determination of MRA(Model Reference Adaptive Control) controller using block Pulse functions and block Pulse function's differential operation. Generally, adaption is performed by solving differential equations which describe adaptive low for updating controller parameter. The proposes algorithm transforms differential equations into algebraic equation, which can be solved much more easily inn a recursive manner. We believe that proposes methods are very attractive and proper for parameter estimation of MRAC controller on account of its simplicity and computational convergence.

  • There have been many research papers and practical implementations on the various EC(Electronic Commerce) aspects such as merchant system, security, payment gateway, legal and policy issues. However, it is very hard to find the systematic approaches and business process models from the viewpoint of the company willing to start B2C(Business-To-Customer) EC. Therefore, we develop business process models for the planning, systems analysis and design, implementation, and operation of internet shopping mall to suggest a guideline and reference model for the realization of successful B2C EC.

  • This paper presents a new robust sensorless control system for high performance induction motor drives fed by a matrix converter with variable structure. The lumped disturbances such as parameter variation and load disturbance of the system are estimated by a variable structure approach based on model reference adaptive scheme. A Reduced Order Extended Luenberger Observer(ROELO) is also employed to bring better responses at the low speed operation. Experimental results are shown to illustrate the performance of the proposed system.

  • Manufacturers of aircraft engines have introduced computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to operate and control computerized numerical control (CNC) machine tools. However, the generation of a CAM model is a time consuming and error-prone task since machining procedure and operational details are manually defined. For the automatic generation of a CAM model, feature recognition techniques have been widely studied. However, their recognition coverage is limited so that complex shapes such as a jet engine cannot be fully developed. This study presents a novel approach to quickly generate a CAM model from a CAD model using shape search techniques. Once an operator sets a machining operation as a reference operation, the same shapes as the shapes referenced by the operation are searched. The reference operation is copied to the positions of the searched shapes. The proposed method was verified through experiments with a jet engine compressor case.

  • Digital technology has now pervaded and become an inseparable part of our daily life. The art museum sector is evolving into a business model that adapts to the new digital format due to the requirement for survival and development. This study examines the development state of China's art museum industry and investigates the current business model innovation trend in the art museum industry from three perspectives: reorganization and development of the art museum industry's business model theory; reconstruction of the art museum industry's display and marketing logic; and innovation of the art museum industry's operation mechanism, based on a systematic assessment of domestic and international research. This research can provide reference value for digital technology to drive the innovation of business model in art museum industry. Moreover, the study has important reference significance for the development strategy of art museum industry.

  • This paper proposes a new sensorless speed control scheme of induction motor using Model Reference Adaptive Control and Direct Torque Control System. The Model Reference Adaptive Control System is based on the comparison between the outputs of Reference Model and Adjustable Model. The error between the estimated quantities obtained by the two models is used to drive a suitable adaptation mechanism which generates the estimated rotor speed for the Adjustable Model. And the Direct Torque Control scheme controls torque and flux by restricting the flux and torque errors within respective hysteresis bands, and motor torque and flux are controlled by the stator voltage space vector using optimum inverter switching table. The simulation results of proposed method indicate good speed responses from the low speed range to the high, and also show favorable characteristics of load operation.

  • A method to compute the reactive powers of the added buses by the decoupled UPFC model for the optimal voltage profile is presented, by which the voltage magnitudes of PQ buses can get closer to the reference value(usually one p.u.). The performance index for assessing how much the voltage magnitude is closer to the reference value is defined as the squared sum of the present voltage minus the reference voltage multiplied by the weighting number associated with the relative importance of the buses. Numerical example in a 10-unit 39-bus power system with 2 UPFC's shows that the performance index can be very much reduced by operating many UPFC's with the reactive powers for the optimal voltage profile proposed in this paper.

  • Supporting of the user-wanted teaching&learning functions is an important factor to improve the learning effects in a e-learning system. However, most methods are not enough to refer a model for supporting a teaching&learning function in a planning, development, operation, and evaluation. Accordingly, we propose the specified reference model for supporting a teaching&learning function in the web-based e-learning system. To verify the validity of the proposed system, we consulted the students experienced in e-learning system. As a results, The proposed specified reference model can be expected more $11%{\sim}23%$ effectiveness improvement than that of their experienced in the previous system. Also, as the pre-evaluated results using the teaching&learning services supporting degree by the proposed reference model, those measurements are very similar to the services requirement degree of their experienced in e-learning system.

  • This paper presents a new operation scheme of UPFC to minimize both generation costs and active power losses in a normal operation state of power system. In a normal operation, cost minimization is a matter of primary concern among operating objectives. This paper considers two kinds of costs, generation costs and transmission losses. The total generation cost of active powers can be minimized by optimal power flow, and active power losses in the transmission system can be also minimized by power flow control of UPFC incorporated with minimization of generation costs. In order to determine amounts of active power reference of each UPFC required for the cost minimization, an iterative optimization algorithm based on the power flow calculation using the decoupled UPFC model is proposed. For verification of the proposed method, intensive studies have been performed on a 3-unit 6-bus system equipped with a UPFC.

  • At least two projects for English-to-Korean translation have been already in action for the last few years, but so far no attention has been paid to the problem of resolving pronominal reference and a default pronoun translation has been considered instead. In this paper we argue that pronous cannot be handled trivially in an English-to-Korean translation and one cannot bypass the task of resolving anaphoric reference if aiming at good and natural translation. In addition, we propose lexical transfer rules for English-to-Korean anaphor translation and outline an anaphora resolution model for an English-to-Korean MT system in operation.
