모드결합법과 모드직교성에 의한 요철형 공진기의 공진주파수 계산 (A Study on the Numerical Analysis of Reentrant Cavity Resonator by Mode Matching Method and Orthogonality)

  • 본 논문에서는 요철형 공동공진기의 공진주파수를 모드결합법과 모드의 직교성을 이용하여 계산하였다. 요철형 공동공진기는 동축케이블과 원형도파관으로 구성되어 있으며 공진기의 공진주파수는 동축케이블부분의 내부도체길이를 가변시킴으로써 조정할 수 있다. 본 논문의 결과는 클라이스트론, 파장계 및 증폭기의 공진회로와 유전체 정수의 측정에도 사용할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 원통 실린더 내부의 아래와 윗면에 융기부가 있고 원통의 가운데 면을 따라 슬롯이 있는 구조에 대한 모사 연구이다. 이 연구는 두 융기부나 슬롯의 크기를 조절하여 원통의 크기를 0.3파장으로 줄일 수 있음을 보여주고 있다. CST MWS를 이용한 모사 결과는 이론적인 예측과 비슷한 결과를 보여주고 전기적으로 작은 안테나의 연구에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Flame behavior in inner and outer the cavity and flame temperature have an important influence on the formation and oxidation of NOx and soot. Therefore, in this study, the combustion chamber of toroidal and reentrant that have different flow characteristics of inside and outside the cavity and load, and so forth are determined as parameters of experimental conditions. An attempt has been made to obtain the effect of flame temperature and KL value in idler and outer cavity on the formation and oxidation of soot using the two-color method.

400W, 7.9~8.4GHz 이중슬롯 결합공진기 진행파관 증폭기 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of a 400W, 7.9~8.4GHz Double-Slot Coupled-Cavity Traveling-Wave Tube)

  • This thesis focuses on the study of high-power, coupled-cavity traveling-wave tube(CCTWT) for radar applications. The CCTWT employed a reentrant double-slot staggered RF cavity structure. Computational analysis of the X-band, double-slot staggered structures is carried out through the use of HFSS code, which solves Maxwell's equations fully in three-dimensions. The non-linear, large-signal performance of CCTWTs are predicted from numerical simulations using a three-dimensional particle-in-cell code, MAGIC3D. With beam voltage set to 12.7~13kV and beam current at 300mA, the CCTWT produces a saturated radiation power of 350~430W, corresponding to an electronic efficiency of 8.9~11.2% and a gain of 23.7~24.2dB within a frequency range of 7.9~8.4GHz.

  • The objectives of this paper are to study the characteristics of pool boiling heat transfer for enhanced tubes used in the evaporator of turbo chiller and to provide a guideline for optimum design of an evaporator using HFC134a. Three different enhanced tubes are tested at 4 different saturation temperatures. The wall super heated temperature difference ranges from $0.5^{\circ}C\;to\;3.5^{\circ}C$. The refrigerant, HFC134a evaporates on the outside of the tube while the chilled water flows inside the tube. This study provides experimental heat transfer coefficients for evaporation on the enhanced tubes. It is found that the turbo-II tube provides the highest heat transfer coefficient.

  • The very erosive cavitation is simulated by an inclined propeller dynamometer in the medium-size cavitation tunnel of MOERI. The inclined shaft for propeller makes strong cavitaion, which occurs around the root of a propeller blade. The cavitation begins at the leading edge of the propeller and contracted toward the trailing edge through the reentrant jet action. The cavity focused on the region near the trailing edge collapsed over the blade surface. As the impact pressure by the cavitation collapsing is too strong, it can damage the blade surface in the form of pit. This cavitation impacts created by the collapsing process are similar to the full-scale ones and are different from those by other erosion test methods. The newly developed cavitation erosion test method can be applied to evaluate the materials such as metals, ceramics and coatings in terms of cavitation resistance.
