Interventional radiology is performed under real-time fluoroscopy, and patients are exposed to a wide range of exposures for a long period of time depending on the examination and procedure. However, studies on radiation protection for patients during an intervention are insufficient. This study aims to evaluate the doses exposed during the intervention and the applicability of 3D printing materials. The organ dose for each intervention site was evaluated using a monte carlo simulatio. Also, the dose reduction effect of the critical organs was calculated when using a shielding device using 3D printing materials. As a result, the organ dose distribution for each intervention site showed a lower dose distribution for organs located far from the x-ray tube. It was analyzed that the influence of scattered rays was higher in the superficial organs of the back of the human body where x-rays were incident. The dose reduction effect on the critical organ using the 3D printing shield showed the highest testis among the gonads, and in the case of other organs, the dose reduction effect gradually decreased in the order of the eye, thyroid, breast, and ovary. Accordingly, it is judged that the 3D printed shield will be sufficiently usable as a shielding device for the radiation protection of critical organs.

3D printing has the advantage of providing opportunities for individuals to truly realize their creativity. An increasing number of people want to take advantage of this feature but they have lack opportunities for suitable printing training and struggle with problems with incorrect printing methods. Therefore, the lowered print quality lowers the interest of the user, and the 3D printer is not used gradually. In this study, we directly operate the device by identifying and analyzing the problems occurred to solve malfunctions of 3D printers and improve the convenience for user. In particular, we are conducting research on solving and mitigating problems with seating, stringing and nozzle clogging. In addition, the method of reducing material consumption and shortening the printing time was considered through experiments on the functions of 3D printers. Finally, by solving the printing problem that occurs frequently during 3D printing, it was possible to obtain a printed product with a complete appearance and improved convenience.
Presently, 3D printers manufactured by material extrusion are economical and easy to use, so they are being used in various fields. However, this study conducted a tensile test on the infill pattern and density of the PLA+ material, due to the limitations of long printing time as well as low mechanical strength. The infill area for the infill density change was measured, using a vision-measuring machine for four infill patterns (concentric, zigzag, honeycomb, and cross) in which the nozzle path was the same for each layer. The tensile strength/weight[MPa/g] and tensile strength/printing time[MPa/min] of the tensile specimens were analyzed. In this study, efficient infill density and patterns are suggested, for cost reduction and productivity improvement. Consequently, it was confirmed that the infill area and infill percentage of the four patterns, were not constant according to the infill pattern. And the tensile strength of the infill density 40% of the honeycomb pattern and infill density 20% of the cross pattern, tended to highly consider the weight and printing time. Honeycomb and cross patterns could reduce the weight of the tensile specimen by 19.11%, 28.07%, as well as the printing time by 29.56%, 52.25%. Tensile strength was high in the order of concentric, zigzag, honeycomb, and cross patterns, considering the weight and printing time.

The key points of the CTP board is as follows: Film, brightness, plate exposure is eliminated, the reduction of personal expenses, and the reduction of time consumption. But above all, the accurate reappearance of the highlighting and shadow portion as well as self modification of the dust edge portion stands out as the most impressive improvements. In this paper, using a digital test from 4.0 and a Thermal CTP color printing control, the two parts of the Thermal CTP utilized a 1%-99% dot reappearance. Also, using an opposite line target, the results of the CTP plates and printing were compared. Finally, research was made on the printing quality on the slur development of the plate and the result when there was a lack of weave connection.

This paper examines the structural behavior of 3D printed concrete specimens with focus on the bond between the layers. The tensile bond and flexural strengths were investigated experimentally and compared with those of specimens made by conventional mold casting. The test parameters were the time gap between printing layers and the reinforcement between vertical layers. The results showed the 3D printed specimens had voids between layers and confirmed the strength reduction due to printing time gap and the stress concentration caused by the voids. Most of the reduction in tensile bond strength between layers was due to the stress concentration at least up to certain printing time gap. Moreover, beyond a certain printing time gap (24hours), the additional reduction in tensile bond strength reached a level that could affect the structural behavior. The reinforcement between layers was helpful to increase the ductile behavior which is essential to prevent the sudden collapse of the structure. In addition, the reduction in flexural strength due to the stress concentration by the voids was observed and should be considered in the design of 3D printed wall structures against the lateral load.
To evaluate the relative time required to perform a CT(computed tomography) examination in a filmless versus a film-based system and helical versus nonhelical studies. Time and Motion studies were performed in 175 consecutive CT examinations. Images from 85 examinations were electronically transferred to a PACS, and 90 were printed to film. The time required to obtain and electronically transfer the images or print the images to film and make the current and previous studies available to the radiologists for interpretation was recorded. The time required for a radiological technologist to complete a CT examination was reduced by 43% with the PACS compared with the film-based system and nonhelical was reduced 10-20% with helical studies. This reduction was due to the elimination of a transfer and printing, such as the printing at window or level settings. The use of PACS can result in the elimination of time tasks for the radiological technologist, resulting in marked reduction in examination time. This reduction can result in decreased cost and increased productivity in PACS operation.

Background: Clinical outcomes after fixation of distal humerus intraarticular fractures are directly related to the quality of reduction. The use of three-dimensional (3D)-printed fracture models can benefit preoperative planning to ensure good reduction. This review aims to determine if surgery performed with 3D printing assistance are faster and result in fewer complications and improved clinical outcomes than conventional methods. We also outline the benefits and drawbacks of this novel technique in surgical management of distal humerus fractures. Methods: A systematic literature search was carried out in various electronic databases. Search results were screened based on title and abstract. Data from eligible studies were extracted into spreadsheets. Meta-analysis was performed using appropriate computer software. Results: Three randomized controlled trials with 144 cases were included in the final analysis. The 3D-printed group had significantly shorter mean operating time (mean difference, 16.25 minutes; 95% confidence interval [CI], 12.74-19.76 minutes; P<0.001) and mean intraoperative blood loss (30.40 mL; 95% CI, 10.45-60.36 mL; P=0.005) compared with the conventional group. The 3D-printed group also tended to have fewer complications and a better likelihood of good or excellent outcomes as per the Mayo elbow performance score, but this did not reach statistical significance. Conclusions: Three-dimensional-printing-assisted surgery in distal humerus fractures has several benefits in reduced operating time and lower blood loss, indirectly decreasing other complications such as infection and anemia-related issues. Future good-quality studies are required to conclusively demonstrate the benefits of 3D printing in improving clinical outcomes.

In the construction industry, interest in technologies such as 3D Construction Printing (3DCP) is increasing, and research is being conducted continuously. In the case of atypical architecture, different shapes must be implemented, and the introduction of 3D printing technology is intended to solve it. Our researchers are conducting research to produce Free-form Concrete Panel (FCP). It automatically manufactures the FCP's formwork without any error with the design shape. At this time, the concrete nozzle based on the 3D printing technology is developed and the concrete is precisely extruded into the manufactured form to prevent the deformation of the formwork that can occur due to the concrete load. Therefore, in this study, the requirements for the development of 3D printing concrete nozzles for FCP manufacturing are analyzed. Based on the analyzed requirements, the first nozzle was developed. Such equipment is easy to shorten construction period and cost reduction in the atypical construction field, and is expected to be utilized as basic 3D printing equipment.
Amount of residual ink solvent on the packaging materials from Korea, Japan and Europe was measured and compared. The amount of packaging materials from Korea was much higher than that of Japan and Europe. To reduce the residual amounts of ink solvent, aging condition of printed packaging materials including aging time and temperature was modified and evaluated. Aging with high temperature and short time ($60^{\circ}C$ and 24 hours) was more effective for reduction of residual amount of ink solvent than that with low temperature and long time. To find out change of reduction pattern of residual amount of solvent according to plastic packaging material, several monolayer and multilayer packaging materials were selected. Among the monolayer packaging materials, the amount of EVOH and PET was lower than that of polyolefin plastic film including PE and PP. PP/EVOH/PET among the selected multilayer film showed the lowest amount of residual ink solvent on food packaging materials. Result of this research revealed that the residual amount of ink solvent can be reduced by proper selection of aging condition with and by appropriate application of mutilayer plastic film.
