Precipitation prediction during flood season has been a key task of climate prediction for a long time. This type of prediction is linked with the national economy and people's livelihood, and is also one of the difficult problems in climatology. At present, there are some precipitation forecast models for the flood season, but there are also some deviations from these models, which makes it difficult to forecast accurately. In this paper, based on the measured precipitation data from the flood season from 1993 to 2019 and the precipitation return data of CWRF, ANN cycle modeling and a weighted integration method is used to correct the CWRF used in today's operational systems. The MAE and TCC of the precipitation forecast in the flood season are used to check the prediction performance of the proposed algorithm model. The results demonstrate a good correction effect for the proposed algorithm. In particular, the MAE error of the new algorithm is reduced by about 50%, while the time correlation TCC is improved by about 40%. Therefore, both the generalization of the correction results and the prediction performance are improved.
It is remarkable that nuclear transfer using differentiated donor cells can produce physiologically normal cloned animals, but the process is inefficient and highly prone to epigenetic errors. Aberrant patterns of gene expression in clones contribute to the cumulative losses and abnormal phenotypes observed throughout development. Any long lasting effects from cloning, as revealed in some mouse studies, need to be comprehensively evaluated in cloned livestock. These issues raise animal welfare concerns that currently limit the acceptability and applicability of the technology. It is expected that improved reprogramming of the donor genome will increase cloning efficiencies realising a wide range of new agricultural and medical opportunities. Efficient cloning potentially enables rapid dissemination of elite genotypes from nucleus herds to commercial producers. Initial commercialization will, however, focus on producing small numbers of high value animals for natural breeding especially clones of progeny-tested sires, The continual advances in animal genomics towards the identification of genes that influence livestock production traits and human health increase the ability to genetically modify animals to enhance agricultural efficiency and produce superior quality food and biomedical products for niche markets. The potential opportunities in animal agriculture are more challenging than those in biomedicine as they require greater biological efficiency at reduced cost to be economically viable and because of the more difficult consumer acceptance issues. Nevertheless, cloning and transgenesis are being used together to increase the genetic merit of livestock; however, the integration of this technology into farming systems remains some distance in the future.
A magnetic field calculation method for toroidal type winding which has circular section was developed. At first, the equation for magnetic field by single filament coil was extended using numerical integration to estimate the entire interesting region of solenoid, especially winding region itself. And then, the magnetic field by toroidal arrangement of solenoids was computed with a coordinate transformation of vector fields. The superconducting magnet with toroidal arrangement can be made up of several tens of solenoid type double pancake windings for some applications such as superconducting magnetic energy storage system(SMES). In this system, the field calculation on the high-Tc superconducting(HTS) tape itself is very important because the entire system can be reached to a fault by magnetic stress of conductor or the critical current of superconducting tape can be dramatically reduced under its self field condition. To make matters worse, 3-dimensional analysis is indispensable for this type of magnet and the most of commercial programs with finite element method can be taken too much time for analysis and design. In this paper, a magnetic field calculation method for toroidal type winding with circular section was induced.
In the present paper, multiple interface cracks between a functionally graded orthotropic coating and an orthotropic half-plane substrate under concentrated loading are considered by means of the distribution dislocation technique (DDT). With the use of integration of Fourier transform the problem is reduced to a system of Cauchy-type singular integral equations which are solved numerically to compute the dislocation density on the surfaces of the cracks. The distribution dislocation is a powerful method to calculate accurate solutions to plane crack problems, especially this method is very good to find SIFs for multiple unequal cracks located at the interface. Hence this technique allows considering any number of interface cracks. The primary objective of this paper is to investigate the effects of the interaction of multiple interface cracks, load location, material orthotropy, nonhomogeneity parameters and geometry parameters on the modes I and II SIFs. Numerical results show that modes I/II SIFs decrease with increasing the nonhomogeneity parameter and the highest magnitude of SIF occurs where distances between the load location and crack tips are minimal.
In this study, we apply a deep learning model to denoising solar magnetograms. For this, we design a model based on conditional generative adversarial network, which is one of the deep learning algorithms, for the image-to-image translation from a single magnetogram to a denoised magnetogram. For the single magnetogram, we use SDO/HMI line-of-sight magnetograms at the center of solar disk. For the denoised magnetogram, we make 21-frame-stacked magnetograms at the center of solar disk considering solar rotation. We train a model using 7004 paris of the single and denoised magnetograms from 2013 January to 2013 October and test the model using 1432 pairs from 2013 November to 2013 December. Our results from this study are as follows. First, our model successfully denoise SDO/HMI magnetograms and the denoised magnetograms from our model are similar to the stacked magnetograms. Second, the average pixel-to-pixel correlation coefficient value between denoised magnetograms from our model and stacked magnetogrmas is larger than 0.93. Third, the average noise level of denoised magnetograms from our model is greatly reduced from 10.29 G to 3.89 G, and it is consistent with or smaller than that of stacked magnetograms 4.11 G. Our results can be applied to many scientific field in which the integration of many frames are used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio.

A real-time unmeasured dynamic response prediction process for the nuclear power plant pressure pipeline is proposed and its performance is tested in the test-loop system (KAERI). The aim of the process is to predict unmeasurable or unreachable dynamic responses such as acceleration, velocity, and displacement by using a limited amount of directly measured physical responses. It is achieved by combining a well-constructed finite element model and robust inverse force identification algorithm. The pressure pipeline system is described by using the displacement-pressure vibro-acoustic formulation to consider fully filled liquid effect inside the pipeline structure. A robust multiphysics modal projection technique is employed for the real-time sensor synchronized prediction. The inverse force identification method is also derived and employed by using Bathe's time integration method to identify the full-field responses of the target system from the modal domain computation. To validate the performance of the proposed process, an experimental test is extensively performed on the nuclear power plant pressure pipeline test-loop under operation conditions. The results show that the proposed identification process could well estimate the unmeasured acceleration in both frequency and time domain faster than 32,768 samples per sec.

The process and efficiency of monitoring building and construction violations is a concern of the construction industry. The detection of violations requires appropriate and sufficiently accurate spatial information to manage and support a comprehensive inspection process and monitor compliance. A building inspection workflow must extract appropriate spatial and measurement in-formation from a variety of sources, identify potential violations across a range of compliance criteria and determine the quality of resulting inspection reports. This paper presents a framework for supporting building inspections using spatial information and methods to detect construction violations and compliance. Current inspection processes involve issues around the identification of building violations, access to building regulations and existing spatial information, integration of a range of spatial and non-spatial information, and the quality of decisions within the inspection workflows. A survey of building inspectors was conducted and used together with the issues identified to establish the requirements for a spatial inspection framework. The results demonstrate how such a framework can support improved decision-making and reduced fieldwork effort in detecting and measuring the accuracy of building violations involving building placements, street offsets and footprint areas.

This study explores an alternative to the existing centralized process for data anomaly detection in modern Internet of Things (IoT)-based structural health monitoring (SHM) systems. An edge intelligence framework is proposed for the early detection and classification of various data anomalies facilitating quality enhancement of acquired data before transmitting to a central system. State-of-the-art deep neural network pruning techniques are investigated and compared aiming to significantly reduce the network size so that it can run efficiently on resource-constrained edge devices such as wireless smart sensors. Further, depthwise separable convolution (DSC) is invoked, the integration of which with advanced structural pruning methods exhibited superior compression capability. Last but not least, quantization-aware training (QAT) is adopted for faster processing and lower memory and power consumption. The proposed edge intelligence framework will eventually lead to reduced network overload and latency. This will enable intelligent self-adaptation strategies to be employed to timely deal with a faulty sensor, minimizing the wasteful use of power, memory, and other resources in wireless smart sensors, increasing efficiency, and reducing maintenance costs for modern smart SHM systems. This study presents a theoretical foundation for the proposed framework, the validation of which through actual field trials is a scope for future work.

In 2015, the number of senior citizens aged 65 and over in Korea was 6,662,400, accounting for 13.1% of the total population. Along with these social phenomena, risk information related to the elderly is increasing every year. In particular, a fall accident caused by a fall can cause serious injury to an elderly person, so special attention is required. Therefore, in this paper, we implemented a system that monitors fall accidents and informs them in real time to minimize damage caused by falls. To this end, beacon-based indoor location positioning was performed and biometric information based on an integrated module was collected using various sensors. In other words, a multi-functional sensor integration module was designed based on Arduino to collect and monitor user's temperature, heart rate, and motion data in real time. Finally, through the analysis and prediction of measurement signals from the integrated module, damage from fall accidents can be reduced and rapid emergency treatment is possible. Through this, it is possible to reduce the damage caused by a fall accident, and rapid emergency treatment will be possible. In addition, it is expected to lead a new paradigm of safety systems through expansion and application to socially vulnerable groups.
