Contention-based Reservation Protocol Using a Counter for Detecting a Source Conflict in WDM Single-hop Optical Network with Non-equivalent Distance

  • We propose a new channel reservation protocol which can reduce message delay by using a counter for detection of d source conflict in a WDM single-hop network with non-equivalent propagation delay. A source convict occurs when a source node has the right to transmit more than or equal to two messages simultaneously, which are transmitted using different wavelengths. In such a case, the source node has to newly obtain the right to transmit the message. In the proposed protocol, by using a source conflict counter a source node can detect a source conflict before a wave-length assignment is performed. Therefore, the source node can start a procedure to newly obtain the right to transmit the message which cannot be transmitted due to a source conflict. We analyse the throughput performance by taking the effect of a source conflict into account, and show that the approximate analysis and the computer simulated results are close. Also, from computer simulated results, we show that our proposed protocol can reduce mean message delay dramatically without degrading throughput performance as the offered load becomes large.

휴양지역(休養地域)에서 이용자(利用者)의 기대(期待), 규범(規範), 상충인지(上衝認知)에 미치는 정보(情報)의 효과(效果) (Effects of Information on User Expectations, Norms and Perceived Conflict in a Recreation Setting)

  • 휴양객의 규범, 기대, 그리고 휴양동기는 상충인지에 주요한 영향을 미치는 인자로서 알려져 왔다. 본 연구는 휴양객에게 제공된 정보가 휴양객의 규범, 기대 그리고 상충인지의 정도에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 보기 위해 실시되었다. 데이터는 1994년 지리산국립공원의 제 2야영장에서 수집되었으며 배부한 280부의 설문지중 253부(90.4%)가 본 연구를 위해 이용되었다. 연구결과에 의하면, 정보제공은 휴양객의 규범기준을 정보의 내용과 일치하는 방향으로 변화시켰으며 규범의 집중도를 증가시켰다. 그러나 정보제공은 휴양객의 기대변화에는 영향을 미치지 않았으며 상층인지도를 감소시키는 데에도 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과에 대한 이유가 토의되었으며, 이를 토대로 상층인지문제를 감소하기 위한 몇 가지 방안이 제시되었다.

대인 갈등, 사회적 스트레스, 의사소통이 모바일 메신저 사용자의 외로움에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Interpersonal Conflict, Social Stress, and Communication on Loneliness of Mobile Messenger Users)

  • 본 연구는 스마트폰을 통해 의사소통하는 사용자들이 느끼는 외로움에 미치는 선행변수를 도출하기 위해 수행되었다. 특히, 관계적 특성, 사회적 특성, 의사소통 특성 등을 반영하여 3가지 특성이 외로움에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석했다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 갈등 해결 능력을 대인 간 갈등과 외로움에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 스트레스는 대인 간 갈등, 의사소통 피로감, 외로움 등에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 의사소통 부족은 갈등 해결 능력과 외로움에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 의사소통 피로감은 외로움에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 개인이 느끼는 외로움을 감소시키기 위해서 자신과 타인 간의 관계 속에서 발생할 수 있는 갈등을 현명하게 해결할 수 있는 능력을 지속해서 향상할 필요가 있으며, 타인과의 관계 형성에 대한 두려움이나 부담감을 떨쳐버릴 필요가 있다는 것을 알 수 있다.

수식 속성 문법 단순화에 대한 연구 (A Research on the Simplification of the Expression Attribute Grammar)

  • 속성문법은 각 구문규칙에 의미론을 추가한 문법체계이다. 그러나 이 속성문법은 그 추가적인 규칙들 때문에 구성과 이해의 어려움이 있다. 대부분 속성 문법에서 그 규모가 크고 복잡하기 때문에 규모의 수가 작고 단순하면 좋을 것이다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 LR 파싱을 할 때 수식을 위한 속성문법의 규모를 줄일 수 있는 방법을 연구하였다. 이것은 수식의 종류를 고려한 방식이다. 즉 수식의 종류들 사이의 의미적 포함관계를 성립시키면 보다 단순하고 작은 규모의 속성 문법으로 구성될 수 있음을 보여준다.

Conflict Graph-based Downlink Resource Allocation and Scheduling for Indoor Visible Light Communications

  • Visible Light Communication (VLC) using Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) within the existing lighting infrastructure can reduce the implementation cost and may gain higher throughput than radio frequency (RF) or Infrared (IR) based wireless systems. Current indoor VLC systems may suffer from poor downlink resource allocation problems and small system throughput. To address these two issues, we propose an algorithm called a conflict graph scheduling (CGS) algorithm, including a conflict graph and a scheme that is based on the conflict graph. The conflict graph can ensure that users are able to transmit data without interference. The scheme considers the user fairness and system throughput, so that they both can get optimum values. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can guarantee significant improvement of system throughput under the premise of fairness.

Effects of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Attributes on Work-to-life Conflict

  • The rapid adoption of smartphones and tablets among employees has recently forced organizations to proactively embrace bring your own device (BYOD). The situation of COVID-19 makes the concept of BYOD even paramount. Allowing employees to bring their own mobile devices to the workplace has helped companies realize productivity gains and cost benefits. However, BYOD has also blurred the boundaries between work and personal life, thereby creating a stressful environment for employees (Doargajudbur and Hosanoo, 2023). This study explores the relationships between several BYOD attributes and investigates the effects of these attributes on work-to-life conflict. It contributes by introducing workplace connectivity after hours as a new dimension of BYOD attribute to influence work-to-life conflict. Based on boundary theory, a theoretical model is developed and tested with an online survey. The results reveal that flexibility and workplace connectivity after hours positively influence productivity, and flexibility helps to relieve instead of increase work overload. Meanwhile, a higher level of flexibility and productivity can help reduce work-to-life conflict, and a higher level of work overload induces a higher level of work-to-life conflict.

Influences of Marital Conflict and Family Function on Fatigue in Mothers of Hospitalized Children with Acute Diseases

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of marital conflict and family function on fatigue in mothers of young children hospitalized for acute diseases. Method: Via a cross-sectional design utilizing structured questionnaires, fatigue, marital conflict, and family function data of 120 South Korea mothers of such hospitalized children were collected and surveyed. The data were analyzed via t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression using SPSS Statistics. Results: Fatigue level was found to positively correlate with marital conflict and negatively correlate with family function. Overall, marital conflict, was significant predictor of maternal fatigue, explaining 33.0% of the model, with physical fatigue level being the highest type of fatigue. Conclusion: Therefore, a family-centered care program for families of hospitalized children needs to be developed. Comprehensive family nursing interventions that reduce fatigue levels and help reinforce marital relationships in families of hospitalized children are essential.

치과위생사의 역할갈등, 긍정심리자본, 심리적 안녕감의 관계 (Relationship of dental hygienists' role conflict, positive psychological capital, and psychological well-being)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to confirm the relationship between role conflict, positive psychological capital, and the psychological well-being of dental hygienists and to provide data for improving professionalism by increasing the psychological well-being of dental hygienists. Methods: From May 21 to June 22, 2023, 190 data were collected through an online community of dental hygienists. The collected data were analyzed IBM SPSS program ver. 23.0 and AMOS ver. 26.0. Statistical analysis methods, convergent validity test, structural equation model analysis, and model fit were performed using independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, confirmatory factor analysis, structural model fit test, and path analysis. Results: The lower the role conflict of dental hygienists and the higher the positive psychological capital, the higher the psychological well-being. The lower the role conflict, the higher the positive psychological capital. However, there was no mediating effect between positive psychological capital and role conflict, as it was not statistically significant. Analysis of the total effect of role conflict and positive psychological capital on psychological well-being revealed that positive psychological capital had a greater influence on psychological well-being than role conflict. Conclusions: Psychological well-being was related to positive psychological capital and role conflict. Future efforts are needed to improve positive psychological capital and psychological well-being of dental hygienists and reduce role conflict.

Impact on the Collective Claims and Conflict Resolution Strategies Related to Infant Policy Integration

  • The state adopts the policies based on the goals pursued by the state and provides a basic policy for administrative activities related to early childhood education. Therefore, early childhood education policy should be established organically in consultant with the social consent in advance. In most countries will bear the costs of child care and early childhood education can reduce the financial burden of parents and early childhood education consumers are able to understand the will of the government to support the child care services, which they need in a variety of way. The conflict is deepening - among policy officials, front-line institutions participating in policy implementation, and parents - surrounding the infant and early childhood education. And the conflict has caused the difference between this policy and claims that cannot find hardly a solution. In this study, we argue how the policy differences between groups involved in the policy to analyze the influence, to find the policy conflict resolution strategies.

남자간호사의 성 고정관념 역할갈등 및 조직몰입 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Gender Stereotype, Role Conflict and Organizational Commitment of Male nurses)

  • Purposes: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between male nurse's gender stereotype, role conflict and organizational commitment. Methodology: Data were collected from 169 male hospital nurses from August, 2016 until September. The Male nurse's gender stereotype, role conflict and organizational commitment were measured using a structured questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS/win 23.0 for windows. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation were used. Findings: There were statistically significant differences in the gender stereotype by general characteristics such as age and military duty. There were statistically significant differences in the role conflict by general characteristics such as education level and position. There were statistically significant differences in the organizational commitment by general characteristics such as the hospital's location and hospital type. Gender stereotype and role conflict had no significant correlation (r=-0.050, p=.516). A statistically significant positive correlation was detected between male nurse's gender stereotype and 'continuance commitment' (r=0.272, p<.001). A statistically significant positive correlation was detected between male nurse's role conflict and 'continuance commitment' (r=0.178, p=.021). Practical implications: The result of this study indicate that to reduce role conflict of workplace environment and induce the affective commitment of male nurses within a female-centered nursing organization should be sought.
