This study is to examine the effect of swimming exercise on the expression of c-fos, c-jun protein in rat hippocampus. 4-weeks aged rats and 16-weeks aged rats were used in experimental materials. All of two groups were classified into control and swimming exercise group. Swimming exercise was practiced for an hour a day. The results were got as follows after practical application in 1 day, 3days, 7 days. The expression of c-fos, c-jun protein was increased in all of the two experimental groups significantly in 1 day, 3days, 7 days. It was increased gradually in order of after 1 day, 3days, 7 days. There seems to be the effect of swimming exercise increasing the expression of c-fos, c-jun protein in hippocampus. Therefore swimming exercise can improve cognitive function such as learning and memory and prevent through activating immediate - early gene by swimming exercise. And it seems to have the positive effect on growth and recovery of nerve.

In this paper, we propose the architecture of modem receiver to fabricate HomePNA 2.0 chip. HomePNA suffers from inferior channel because of bridge tap, the effect of amateur HAM band and so on. To transfer data over such channel, HomePNA 2.0 uses training sequence to equalize channel and uses FD-QAM optionally as modulation method. So modem receiver demodulate QAM based signal and needs optimum architecture that fully uses these transmission feature. As a result of research, we define 2 mode function of modem receiver depending on TX/RX state. In this paper, particularly, we show the algorithm of equalizer, carrier phase recovery and frame synchromzationblock and propose architecture that improve the performance of channel equalization and is stable in operation. In the end, we estimate the performance of proposed HomePNA2.0 modem receiver over HomePNA TEST LOOP using SPW program.

Oral rehabilitation of a patient having severe periodontitis with alveolar bone resorption and periodontal inflammation presents a challenge to clinicians. However, if appropriate implant placement according to the bone shape is selected, unnecessary bone grafting or soft tissue surgery can be minimized. In recent years, using cone beam CT and software, it has become possible to operate the planned position with the surgical guide made with 3D printing technology. This case was a 70 years old female patient who required total extraction of teeth due to severe periodontitis and performed a full-mouth rehabilitation with an implant - supported fixed prosthesis. During the surgery, the implant was placed in a flapless manner through a surgical guide. Immediate loading of the temporary prosthesis made by CAD/CAM method before surgery was done. Since then, we have produced customized abutments and zirconia prostheses, and have reported satisfactory aesthetic and functional recovery.
In order to develop a process for the recovery of valuable metals from spent LiBs, solvent extraction experiments were performed to separate Cu(II) and/or Co(II) from synthetic hydrochloric acid solutions containing Li(I), Mn(II), and Ni(II). Commercial amines (Alamine 336 and Aliquat 336) were employed and the extraction behavior of the metals was investigated as a function of the concentration of HCl and extractants. The results indicate that HCl concentration affected remarkably the extraction efficiency of the metals. Only Cu(II) was selectively at 1 M HCl concentration, while both Co(II) and Cu(II) was extracted by the amines when HCl concentration was higher than 5 M, leaving the other metal ions in the raffinate. Therefore, it was possible to selectively extract either Cu(II) or Co(II)/Cu(II) by adjusting the HCl concentration.
Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) is a rare, progressive, life-threatening condition of thrombotic microangiopathy characterized by thrombocytopenia, microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, and renal impairment. The mechanisms underlying aHUS remain unclear. Herein, we present the first case in the literature of aHUS after a traumatic injury. A 55-year-old male visited the emergency department after a traumatic injury caused by a tree limb. Abdominal computed tomography revealed a rectal wall defect with significant air density in the perirectal space and preperitoneum, implying rectal perforation. Due to the absence of intraperitoneal intestinal perforation, we performed diverting sigmoid loop colostomy. An additional intermittent simple repair was performed due to perianal and anal injuries. One day postoperatively, his urine output abruptly decreased and serum creatinine level increased. His platelet level decreased, and a spiking fever occurred after 2 days. The patient was diagnosed with acute renal failure secondary to aHUS and was treated with fresh frozen plasma replacement. Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) was also started for oliguria and uremic symptoms. The patient received CRRT for 3 days and intermittent hemodialysis thereafter. After hemodialysis and subsequent supportive treatment, his urine output and renal function improved. The hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenia also gradually improved. Dialysis was terminated on day 22 of admission and the patient was discharged after recovery. This case suggests that that a traumatic event can trigger aHUS, which should be considered in patients who have thrombocytopenia and acute renal failure with microangiopathic hemolytic anemia. Early diagnosis and appropriate management are critical for favorable outcomes.
The purpose of this study is to identify the direction of future Christian ministry by examining the educational/pastoral ministries of Korean churches during the COVID-19 period. The study used the case study method, where pastors from four different churches were the primary sources of data. Although each church has its own unique ministry, special early morning prayer meetings, family worship services, family Vacation Bible Schools, Bible writing and reading programs, and on-line discipleship training programs were common. In addition, each church implemented special programs that reflected the characteristics and needs of the church, like a talk show, visible radio, surfing meeting, and book-making of Bible manuscripts. Based on these results, ministry programs reflecting the church's pastoral philosophy, strengthening community consciousness, restoring the spiritual function of the family, utilizing online teaching methods, and psychological support for the underprivileged are proposed. In addition, the recovery of Christian publicity and the help from denomination or specialized institutions to develop the programs and online materials were suggested. Through this study, the direction of educational/pastoral ministry in a time of COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 is proposed.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to present specific criteria for setting goals for hand rehabilitation by comparing the degree of difference in grip force, coordination, and dexterity between the dominant and non-dominant hand according to gender. Methods: We recruited 100 healthy adults in their 20s and 30s. A handheld digital dynamometer was used to evaluate the grip force of each of the dominant and non-dominant hand, a chopsticks manipulation test was used to evaluate coordination, and the Purdue Pegboard test was used to evaluate agility. Results: In all subjects, the grip force, coordination, and dexterity showed statistically significant difference (p <0.01) between the dominant and non-dominant hand. In the comparison according to gender, both male and female dominant and non-dominant hands showed statistically significant differences in grip force, coordination, and dexterity (p <0.01). In the comparison according to grip force, there was a statistically significant difference between the dominant and non-dominant hand, and men showed stronger result values in both hands compared to women (p <0.01). In the comparison according to coordination, there was no statistically significant difference between the dominant and non-dominant hand in men and women (p >0.05). In the comparison according to dexterity, there was a statistically significant difference between the dominant and non-dominant hand, and women were shown to be faster in performance time with both hands, compared to men (p <0.01). Conclusion: Differences according to gender exist in grip force and dexterity but not coordination, and differences between dominant and non-dominant hand exists across all measurements. The results suggest setting a recovery goal according to dominance and gender during rehabilitation of hand function.

Mumps, which are also known as epidemic parotitis, lead to viral infectious diseases that can cause complication such as pancreatitis, orchitis, hearing impairments, oophoritis, parotitis and meningitis. Central nervous system involvement has been reported in up to 65% of mumps patients, with most of these including meningitis. Meningoencephalitis is a rare central nervous system (CNS) complication of the mumps. Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) vaccination has been reported protective effect against clinical complications and hospitalization. Here, we describe acute mumps meningoencephalitis in a 24-year-old female without parotitis who had received the MMR vaccination by age related schedule. She initially visited our hospital with aggravated cognition and confusion. After conservative viral treatment, she recovered cognitive function rapidly and complication was not remained. We report here a case of a patient with good recovery of mumps meningoencephalitis without parotitis after secondary vaccination for MMR.

A Common peroneal nerve palsy caused by ganglionic cyst is very rare condition but well recognised entities. There have been three previous reports describing the magnetic resonance image (MRI) findings of peroneal nerve entrapment due to a ganglionic cyst. Ultrasonography, MRI, and electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction velocity (NCV), and microscopic examination were taken for diagnosis. A tubular structure near the fibular neck extending longitudinally over several slices with an inferior extension towards the superior tibiofibular joint with high T2 signal intensity was characteristic. The peroneal nerve was exposed and the ganglionic cyst was excised. The nerve was paralysed immediately after operation, but at 4 month after operation, started recovery of the function gradually and has recovered completely at 7 month. MRI is helpful to detect the extent, location, and origin of the cyst. Meticulous surgical excision can provide favorable result.

The effect of the inlet swirling flow in a hydraulic turbine draft tube is a very complex phenomenon, which has been extensively investigated both theoretically and experimentally. In fact, the finding of the optimal flow distribution at the draft tube inlet in order to get the best performance has remained a challenge. Thus, attempting to answer this question, it was assumed that through an automatic optimization process a Genetic Algorithm would be able to manage a parameterized inlet velocity profile in order to achieve the best flow field for a particular draft tube. As a result of the optimization process, it was possible to obtain different draft-tube flow structures generated by the automatic manipulation of parameterized inlet velocity profiles. Thus, this work develops a qualitative and quantitative analysis of these new draft tube flow field structures provoked by the redesigned inlet velocity profiles. The comparisons among the different flow fields obtained clearly illustrate the importance of the flow uniformity at the end of the conduit. Another important aspect has been the elimination of the re-circulating flow area which used to promote an adverse pressure gradient in the cone, deteriorating the pressure recovery effect. Thanks to the evolutionary optimization strategy, it has been possible to demonstrate that the optimized inlet velocity profile can suppress or mitigate, at least numerically, the undesirable draft tube flow characteristics. Finally, since there is only a single swirl number for which the objective function has been minimized, the energy loss factor might be slightly affected by the flow rate if the same relation of the axial-tangential velocity components is maintained, which makes it possible to scale the inlet velocity field to different operating points.
