  • A technique is described for producing a virtual object with realistic motion. A 3-D human motion model is obtained by applying a developed motion capturing technique to a real human in motion. Factorization method is a technique for recovering 3-D shape of a rigid object from a single video image stream without using camera parameters. The technique is extended for recovering 3-D human motions. The proposed system is composed of three fixed cameras which take video images of a human motion. Three obtained image sequences are analyzed to yield measurement matrices at individual sampling times, and they are merged into a single measurement matrix to which the factorization is applied and the 3-D human motion is recovered ...

  • Segregation of binary particle systems in a horizontally gyrated bed has been experimentally studied to recover the heavy metals from municipal waste incineration (MWI) ash. Differences in density and size had less effect on segregation. Effective segregation took place under the centrifugal effect of 1 or less for any particle size ratio. Zn, Cu and Pb were concentrated in the upper side of bed by the horizontal vibration. However, there was less change in concentration for other metals such as Mg, Al and Fe etc. The separation system with the horizontal gyrating separator proved to be an effective method for the pretreatment of recovering Zn, Cu and Pb from incineration residues.

  • The ultimate object of FES is on the recovering function of body and shape demaged from desease or injury to original state. On this study, object is recovering of gait function of the disabled who, especially, have gait disturbance. Paralyzed muscle from the central nerve disable, if peripheral nerves which be in the lower part of the harmed are activated, muscle contraction is possible. The traumatic trouble, peripheral nerves aren't connected to a central nerve but origin of peripheral nerve cells which are in the lower part of the harmed are alive, react on stimulation. We design 4-channel stimulator, being based on standard stimuli pattern. stimulator is manufactured with compact size and light weight to portable.

  • Waste vinyl tretreatment system has been developed by the joint project between KIMM and Woosung Co. General process for removal of impurities from waste vinyl is consisted of feeding, separating, cutting, washing, drying and recovering impurities. However, there are problems such as wastewater when washing of waste vinyl. In order to solve these problems we have developed new dry type cleaning system.

  • This study applies an on-line system, which employes an adaptive reconstruction technique to monitor and forecast ocean surface changes. The system adaptively generates an appropriate synthetic time series with recovering missing measurements for sequential images. The reconstruction method incorporates temporal variation according to physical properties of targets and anisotropic spatial optical properties into image processing techniques. This adaptive approach allows successive refinement of the structure of objects that are barely detectable in the observed series. The system sequentially collects the estimated results from the adaptive reconstruction and then statistically analyzes them to monitor and forecast the change in surface characteristics.

  • The stern boat deployment system was investigated to evaluate the capability of launching and recovering rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) via the stern ramp. The main parameters to launch and recover RHIB were tested at the design stage. The combined hydrodynamic effect of the stern wake and the water jet flow made it difficult to maintain the maneuvering and sea-keeping ability of RHIB approaching to the stern ramp. The safe recovery course was proposed to maintain the directional control of RHIB and to reduce the combined hydrodynamic effect in the transom zone. To evaluate the feasibility of RHIB recovery, the stern sill depth was measured in various conditions and the ramp availability time was obtained. Also, the experimental percent time operability (PTO) test was performed by the number of successive launching and recovering operations.

  • 음성 통화위주의 무기체계는 정보교환 시 지연/오류/훼손이 발생하며 자체 메시지 형식을 가진 무기체계는 메시지 형식이 상이하여 데이터 유통이 제한된다. 따라서 표준화된 데이터 형식을 활용하여 전송 품질을 보장하고 전송량을 최소화 할 수 있는 한국형 가변 메시지 형식(Korean Variable Message Format)이 개발되었다. 지상전술데이터링크 체계는 KVMF 표준 메시지를 활용하는 전장관리시스템을 기동 무기체계에 탑재하여 빠르고 정확하게 전술정보를 공유하는 체계이다. 본 논문에서는 전장관리시스템의 정상/비정상 종료상황 발생 시, 망 가입상태 복원기능을 통해 즉각적인 임무수행을 할 수 있는 방안에 대해 연구한다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 회복을 어렵게 만드는 단도박자의 생활고 극복과정을 탐구하는 것이다. 연구의 목적 달성을 위해 단도박 후 생활고를 극복한 총 10명의 연구참여자들과 1:1 심층면담을 수행했다. 면담을 통해 수집한 자료는 Strauss와 Corbin(1990; 1998)이 제안한 근거이론(grounded theory) 절차에 따라 분석했다. 분석 결과 131개의 개념을 구성했으며, 구성된 개념을 다시 32개의 하위범주와 14개의 범주로 분류하였다. 연구자들은 각 범주를 관통하는 핵심범주를 '현실 수용과 재결단을 통한 생활고 극복'으로 제시했다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구자들은 경제적 자활 프로그램 제공, 사회보장 서비스 제공, 상담사-가족-동료 단도박자가 공조할 수 있는 '삼각 지지체계'구축 등을 실천 및 정책적 개입 방안들로 제안했다.
