A new approach for identification of a microwave frequency using an integrated optical waveguide chip, combined with a phase modulator (PM) and two microring resonators (MRRs), is proposed, theoretically deduced, and verified. By wavelength tuning to set the PM under the condition of a double side band (DSB), the measurement range can be started from the dc component, and the measurement range and response slope can be adjusted by designing the radius and transmission coefficient of the MRR. Simulations reveal that the amplitude comparison function (ACF) has a monotonic relationship from dc to 32.5 GHz, with a response slope of 5.15 dB under conditions of DSB modulation, when the radius values, transmission coefficients, and the loss factors are designed respectively as $R_1=400{\mu}m$, $R_2=600{\mu}m$, $t_1=t_2=0.63$, and ${\gamma}_1={\gamma}_2=0.66$. Theoretical calculations and simulation results both indicate that this new approach has the potential to be used for measuring microwave frequencies, with the advantages of compact structure and superior reconfigurability.

FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) devices are widely used due to their merits in circuit development time, and development cost. Among various FPGA technologies, SRAM-based FPGAs have large cell capacity so that they are attractive for complex circuit design and their reconfigurability. However, they are weak in space environment where radiation energy particles cause Single Event Upset(SEU). In this paper, we designed a controller supervising SRAM-based FPGA to protect configuration memory inside. The controller is implemented on an Anti-Fusing FPGA. Radiation test was performed on the implemented computer board and the result show that our controller provides better SEU-resilience than TMR-only system.

In this paper, high efficiency amplifier configuration is proposed using the reconfigurable power divider. In order to enhance average efficiency of linear power amplifiers for wireless communication, it is required to increase efficiency in low output power region. The proposed power divider operates in two modes, high power mode and low power mode, according to output power. In each mode, it allows impedance matches and low loss, which is made possible by employing two $\lambda/4$ coupled lines and two switches. The fabricated power divider shows the return loss ($S_{11}$) and insertion loss ($S_{21}$) of -16.49 dB and -0.83 dB, respectively, in low power mode. In high power mode, the measured return loss ($S_{11}$) and insertion loss ($S_{31}$) are -16.28 dB and -0.73 dB, respectively. This result successfully demonstrates the reconfigurability of the proposed power divider.
This paper deals with reconfigurable secured mobile systems where the reconfigurability has the potential of providing a required adaptability to change the system requirements. The reconfiguration scenario is presented as a run-time automatic operation which allows security mechanisms and the addition-removal-update of software tasks. In particular, there is a definite requirement for filtering and intrusion detection mechanisms that will use fewer resources and also that will improve the security on the secured mobile devices. Filtering methods are used to control incoming traffic and messages, whereas, detection methods are used to detect malware events. Nevertheless, when different reconfiguration scenarios are applied at run-time, new security threats will be emerged against those systems which need to support multiple security objectives: Confidentiality, integrity and availability. We propose in this paper a new approach that efficiently detects threats after reconfigurable scenarios and which is based on filtering and intrusion detection methods. The paper's contribution is applied to Android where the evaluation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed middleware in order to detect the malicious events on reconfigurable secured mobile systems and the feasibility of running and executing such a system with the proposed solutions.
Recently a lot of researches on the component-based software product lines and on applying generative programming into software product lines are being performed actively. This paper proposes an automatic component reconfiguration tool that could be applied in constructing the component-based software product lines. Our tool accepts the reuser's requirement via a feature model which is the main result of the domain engineering, and makes the feature configuration from this requirement. Then it generates the source code of the reconfigured component according to this feature configuration. To accomplish this process, the component family in our tool should have the architecture of GenVoca that is one of the most influential generative programming approaches. In addition, XSLT scripts provide the code templates for implementation elements which are the ingredients of the target component. Taking the ‘Bank Account' component family as our example, we showed that our component reconfiguration tool produced automatically the component source code that the reuser wants to create. The result of this paper would be applied extensively for creasing the productivity of building the software product lines.

Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA)s are replacing traditional integrated circuits for space applications due to their lower development cost as well as reconfigurability. However, they are very sensitive to single event upset (SEU) caused by space radiation environment. In order to mitigate the SEU, on-board computer of STSAT-3 employed a triple modular redundancy(TMR) and scrubbing scheme. Experimental results showed that upset threshold energy was improved from 10.6 MeV to 20.3 MeV when the TMR and the scrubbing were applied to the on-board computer. Combining the experimental results with the orbit simulation results, calculated bit-flip rate of on-board computer is 1.23 bit-flips/day assuming in the worst case of STSAT-3 orbit.

The SDR(Software Defined Radio) system for hardware and software must be an open structure to various system standards. It should also provide a capability of distributed processing, object-orientedness, and software controllability. It implies that the software to be used in the SDR system should provide the openness such that it can operate independently of a given hardware platform. In order to achieve these goals, the SDR system tends to modularization for increasing hardware reuse and design flexibility, which provides the system reconfigurability. In this paper, we implemented a base station with proposed an open architecture of a Smart Antenna Base Station(SABS) and Smart Antenna APIs[10] operating in SDR network in such a way that the architecture itself is suitable for the entire system to maintain the openness, object-orientedness, and software controllability.

Reconfigurable manufacturing system (RMS), alternatively called changeable manufacturing, is a new manufacturing paradigm designed for rapid change in hardware and software components in order to quickly adjust production capacity and functionality in response to sudden changes in market or in regulatory requirements. Although there has been much progress in hardware components during the last decade, not much work has been done on operational issues of RMS. As one of starting studies on the operational issues, we suggest a framework for the system setup and scheduling problems to cope with the reconfigurability of RMS. System setup, which includes batching, part grouping, and loading, are concerned with the pre-arrangement of parts and tools before the system begins to process, and scheduling is the problem of allocating manufacturing resources over time to perform the operations specified by system setup. The framework consists of 8 scenarios classified by three major factors: order arrival process, part selection process, and tool magazine capacity. Each of the scenarios is explained with its subproblems and their interrelationships.

Globalization of market and diversification of customers' needs make enterprises to collaboration of participants in supply chain. To establish collaboration, supply chain must have the flexibility and reconfigurability, which are supported by fractal based supply chain management (FrSCM). In this paper, base on the FrSCM, formulation of trust model among the enterprises in the supply chain, and development of profit sharing strategies in the supply chain based on the trust model are investigated. To evaluate trust model, generation of enterprise's goal and its description, extraction and systematic composition of trust factors and trust evaluation are investigated. Based on the developed model, we developed the fuzzy inference engine to evaluate the trust value in terms of numerical value. And then revenue sharing strategies are developed based on the fractal concept and trust model for the collaborative SCM. The fractal concept is used to obtain the optimal production and transportation plans. In addition, the trust model will be integrated into the RS model. In such an RS model, the supply chain will obtain the maximum total profit and profit of each participant depends on its trust value.
The routinized wireless devices such as smart phone have promoted to expand the use of IEEE 802.11 groups. The challenge environments of the wireless network utilizes effectively and user-oriented seamless services that handover is the most desirable issues under the wireless circumstance. In data center software defined network (SDN) has provided the flow routing to reduce costs and complexities. Flow routing has directly offered control for network administrator and has given to reduce delay for users. Under the circumstance of being short of network facilities, SDNs give the virtualization of network environments and to support out of the isolation traffic conditions. It shows that the mechanism of handover makes sure seamless services for higher density of the network infrastructure which is SDN to support network service re-configurable.
