Personalized Product Recommendation Method for Analyzing User Behavior Using DeepFM

  • In a personalized product recommendation system, when the amount of log data is large or sparse, the accuracy of model recommendation will be greatly affected. To solve this problem, a personalized product recommendation method using deep factorization machine (DeepFM) to analyze user behavior is proposed. Firstly, the K-means clustering algorithm is used to cluster the original log data from the perspective of similarity to reduce the data dimension. Then, through the DeepFM parameter sharing strategy, the relationship between low- and high-order feature combinations is learned from log data, and the click rate prediction model is constructed. Finally, based on the predicted click-through rate, products are recommended to users in sequence and fed back. The area under the curve (AUC) and Logloss of the proposed method are 0.8834 and 0.0253, respectively, on the Criteo dataset, and 0.7836 and 0.0348 on the KDD2012 Cup dataset, respectively. Compared with other newer recommendation methods, the proposed method can achieve better recommendation effect.

PCRM: Increasing POI Recommendation Accuracy in Location-Based Social Networks

  • Nowadays with the help of Location-Based Social Networks (LBSNs), users of Point-of-Interest (POI) recommendation service in LBSNs are able to publish their geo-tagged information and physical locations in the form of sign-ups and share their experiences with friends on POI, which can help users to explore new areas and discover new points-of-interest, and promote advertisers to push mobile ads to target users. POI recommendation service in LBSNs is attracting more and more attention from all over the world. Due to the sparsity of users' activity history data set and the aggregation characteristics of sign-in area, conventional recommendation algorithms usually suffer from low accuracy. To address this problem, this paper proposes a new recommendation algorithm based on a novel Preference-Content-Region Model (PCRM). In this new algorithm, three kinds of information, that is, user's preferences, content of the Point-of-Interest and region of the user's activity are considered, helping users obtain ideal recommendation service everywhere. We demonstrate that our algorithm is more effective than existing algorithms through extensive experiments based on an open Eventbrite data set.

  • Anonymization technology is an important technology for privacy protection in the process of data release. Usually, before publishing data, the data publisher needs to use anonymization technology to anonymize the original data, and then publish the anonymized data. However, for data publishers who do not have or have less anonymized technical knowledge background, how to configure appropriate parameters for data with different characteristics has become a more difficult problem. In response to this problem, this paper adds a historical configuration scheme resource pool on the basis of the traditional anonymization process, and configuration parameters can be automatically recommended through the historical configuration scheme resource pool. On this basis, a privacy model hybrid recommendation algorithm for user satisfaction is formed. The algorithm includes a forward recommendation process and a reverse recommendation process, which can respectively perform data anonymization processing for users with different anonymization technical knowledge backgrounds. The privacy model hybrid recommendation algorithm for user satisfaction described in this paper is suitable for a wider population, providing a simpler, more efficient and automated solution for data anonymization, reducing data processing time and improving the quality of anonymized data, which enhances data protection capabilities.

  • Due to rapid growth and development of telecommunication information technology, interest has been amplified regarding ubiquitous network computing and user-oriented service. Also, the rapid development of related technologies has been a big spotlight. Smart phone, with features such as a PC with advanced features is a mobile phone. According to environment and infrastructure development, a variety of mobile-based application software to provide various kinds of information and services has been released. However, most of them are provider-driven information systems and aim to provide large amounts of information simply to an unspecified number of users. Therefore, customized or personalized provision of information and service explained earlier for individual users has been hardly come true. According to background and need, this study wants to design and implement recommendations system for personalization and customization in mobile environments. To acquire more accurate recommendation results, recommendation system shall be composed using the Hybrid Filtering. Effective information recommendation according to user's situation by using user's context-information of purpose and location that are available in mobile devices before running the filtering of the information to improve the quality of recommendations.

  • The electronic stores have realized that they need to understand their customers and to quickly response their wants and needs. To be successful in increasingly competitive Internet marketplace, recommender systems are adapting data mining techniques. One of most successful recommender technologies is collaborative filtering (CF) algorithm which recommends products to a target customer based on the information of other customers and employ statistical techniques to find a set of customers known as neighbors. However, the application of the systems, however, is not very suitable for seasonal products which are sensitive to time or season such as refrigerator or seasonal clothes. In this paper, we propose a new adjusted item-based recommendation generation algorithms called the exponentially weighted collaborative filtering recommendation (EWCFR) one that computes item-item similarities regarding seasonal products. Finally, we suggest the recommendation system with relatively high quality computing time on main memory database (MMDB) in XML since the collaborative filtering systems are needed that can quickly produce high quality recommendations with very large-scale problems.

  • The interest in the blockchain technology has been increasing since its inception and it has been applied to many fields and sectors. The blockchain technology creates a decentralized environment where no third party controls the data and transaction. Mobile apps recommendation has been extensively used to recommend apps to mobile users. For example, Android-based recommendation applications have been developed to recommend other mobile apps for download depending on user's preferences and mobile context. These recommendations help users discover apps by referring to the experiences of other users. Due to the collection of a large amount of data and user information, there is a problem of insecurity and user's privacy that are prone to be attacked. To address this issue the blockchain technology can be incorporated to assure cryptographic safety. In this paper, we present a survey of the on-going mobile app recommendations and e-commerce technology trend to address how the blockchain can be incorporated into the collaborative filtering recommendation systems to enable the users to set up a secured data, which implies the importance of user privacy preference on personalized app recommendations.

Study on User Experience of Personalized Recommendation Systems of Fashion Vertical Platforms -The Regulation Effect of Self-Regulatory Focus- (패션 버티컬 플랫폼 개인화 추천시스템의 사용자 경험에 관한 연구 -자기조절초점의 조절효과-)

  • This study aims to validate the user experience associated with the personalized recommendation systems of fashion vertical platforms. The investigation focused on women aged 18 to 30 with prior experience using personalized fashion recommendation systems. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0, and the outcomes can be summarized as follows. Firstly, the diversity and usefulness of information quality exerted a positive effect on use satisfaction. Secondly, the affirmative impact of the reliability of system quality on user satisfaction was established, although stability was not confirmed. Thirdly, the study identified a favorable connection between ease-of-use of service quality and user satisfaction, while the influence of tangibles was unsubstantiated. Fourthly, the degree of self-reference was found to have a positive effect on user satisfaction. Fifthly, a constructive relationship emerged between user satisfaction and both continuous-use intention and recommendation intention. Lastly, there was a significant difference in the magnitude of the effect of ease-of-use on satisfaction according to self-regulatory focus. The findings of this study hold the potential to enhance the explanatory and predictive power of the field of consumer behavior within the novel shopping landscape of fashion vertical platforms.

Beauty Product Recommendation System using Customer Attributes Information (고객의 특성 정보를 활용한 화장품 추천시스템 개발)

  • As artificial intelligence technology advances, personalized recommendation systems using big data have attracted huge attention. In the case of beauty products, product preferences are clearly divided depending on customers' skin types and sensitivity along with individual tastes, so it is necessary to provide customized recommendation services based on accumulated customer data. Therefore, by employing deep learning methods, this study proposes a neural network-based recommendation model utilizing both product search history and context information such as gender, skin types and skin worries of customers. The results show that our model with context information outperforms collaborative filtering-based recommender system models using customer search history.

  • Tracking the most recent advances in Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related research is essential, given the disease's novelty and its impact on society. However, with the publication pace speeding up, researchers and clinicians require automatic approaches to keep up with the incoming information regarding this disease. A solution to this problem requires the development of text mining pipelines; the efficiency of which strongly depends on the availability of curated corpora. However, there is a lack of COVID-19-related corpora, even more, if considering other languages besides English. This project's main contribution was the annotation of a multilingual parallel corpus and the generation of a recommendation dataset (EN-PT and EN-ES) regarding relevant entities, their relations, and recommendation, providing this resource to the community to improve the text mining research on COVID-19-related literature. This work was developed during the 7th Biomedical Linked Annotation Hackathon (BLAH7).

  • The recommendation system automatically provides the predicted items which are expected to be purchased by analyzing the previous customer behaviors. This recommendation system has been applied to many e-commerce businesses, and it is generating positive effects on user convenience as well as the company's revenue. However, there are several limitations of the existing recommendation systems. They do not reflect specific criteria for evaluating products or the factors that affect customer buying decisions. Thus, our research proposes a collaborative recommendation model algorithm that utilizes each customer's online product reviews. This study deploys topic modeling method for customer opinion mining. Also, it adopts a kernel-based machine learning concept by selecting kernels explaining individual similarities in accordance with customers' purchase history and online reviews. Our study further applies a multiple kernel learning algorithm to integrate the kernelsinto a combined model for predicting the product ratings, and it verifies its validity with a data set (including purchased item, product rating, and online review) of BestBuy, an online consumer electronics store. This study theoretically implicates by suggesting a new method for the online recommendation system, i.e., a collaborative recommendation method using topic modeling and kernel-based learning.
