In recent years, with the advent of e-Commerce the need for personalized services and one-to-one marketing has been emphasized. To be successful in increasingly competitive Internet marketplace, it is essential to capture customer loyalty. In this paper, we provide an intelligent agent approach to incorporate human sensibility into an one-to-one recommendation service in cyber shopping mall. Our system exploits human sensibility ergonomics and on-line preference matching technologies to tailor to the customer the suggestion of goods and the description of store catalog. Customizing the system`s behavior requires the parallel execution of several tasks during the interaction (e. g., identifying the customer`s emotional preference and dynamically generating the pages of the store catalog). The recommendation agent system composed of five modules including specialized agents carries on these tasks. By presenting goods that are consistent with user interests as well as user sensibility, the accuracy and satisfaction of the recommendation service may be improved.
Many studies on predicting and recommending information and products have been studying to meet customers' preference. Unnecessary information should be removed to satisfy customers' needs in massive information. The some information filtering methods to remove unnecessary information have been suggested but these methods have scarcity and scalability problems. Therefore, this paper explores a personalized recommendation system based on artificial neural network (ANN) to solve these problems. The insurance product recommendation is adapted as an example to demonstrate the proposed method. The proposed recommendation system is expected to recommended a suitable and personalized insurance products for customers' satisfaction.

A personalized product recommendation is an enabling mechanism to overcome information overload occurred when shopping in an Internet marketplace. Collaborative filtering has been known to be one of the most successful recommendation methods, but its application to e-commerce has exposed well-known limitations such as sparsity and scalability, which would lead to poor recommendations. This paper suggests a personalized recommendation methodology by which we are able to get further effectiveness and quality of recommendations when applied to an Internet shopping mall. The suggested methodology is based on a variety of data mining techniques such as web usage mining, decision tree induction, association rule mining and the product taxonomy. For the evaluation of the methodology, we implement a recommender system using intelligent agent and data warehousing technologies.
In this thesis, we propose ontology based context-aware recommendation system using concept hierarchy(OCARCH), Context-aware recommendation services are useful to provide an user with relevant information and/or services bared on his current context, However several approaches to context-aware recommendation system have been already proposed, each of them provide information without considering level of information concept bared on his current context, For this reason, we propose OCARCH as system capable of helping people to find their way quickly and easily through large amounts of information by determining level of information concept based on his current context, We are also using prefetching algorithm to store recommendation information that the user is likely to need in the near future based on current predictions, Therefore the OCARCH enables users to obtain relevant information efficiently, Several experiments are performed and the experimental results show that the proposed system provides more effective than conventional context-aware recommendation system.
Recently, the recommendation system has attracted the attention of users as customized recommendation services have been provided focusing on fashion, video and music. But these services are difficult to provide users with proper service according to many different contexts because they do not use contextual information emerging in real time. When applied contextual information expands dimensions, it also increases data sparsity and makes it impossible to recommend proper music for users. Trying to solve these problems, our study proposed a music recommendation system to recommend proper music in real time by applying association rules and using relationships and rules about the current location and time information of users. The accuracy of the recommendation system was measured according to location and time information through 5-fold cross validation. As a result, it was found that the accuracy of the recommendation system was improved as contextual information accumulated.

Recently, a recommendation system using deep learning in social network services has been actively studied. However, in the case of a recommendation system using deep learning, the cold start problem and the increased learning time due to the complex computation exist as the disadvantage. In this paper, the user-tailored exercise routine recommendation algorithm is proposed using the user's metadata. Metadata (the user's height, weight, sex, etc.) set as the input of the model is applied to the designed model in the proposed algorithms. The exercise recommendation system model proposed in this paper is designed based on the neural collaborative filtering (NCF) algorithm using multi-layer perceptron and matrix factorization algorithm. The learning proceeds with proposed model by receiving user metadata and exercise information. The model where learning is completed provides recommendation score to the user when a specific exercise is set as the input of the model. As a result of the experiment, the proposed exercise recommendation system model showed 10% improvement in recommended performance and 50% reduction in learning time compared to the existing NCF model.

As the online commerce market continues to expand with an increase of diverse products and content, users find it challenging in navigating and in the selection process. Thereafter both platforms and shopping malls are actively working in conducting continuous research on recommendations system to select and present products that align with user preferences. Most existing recommendation studies have relied on user data which is relatively easy to obtain. However, these studies only use a single type of event and their reliance on time dependent data results in issues with reliability and complexity. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a recommendation system that analysis user preferences in consideration of the relationship between various types of event data. The proposed recommendation system analyzes the correlation of multiple events, extracts weights, learns the recommendation model, and provides recommendation services through it. Through extensive experiments the performance of our system was compared with the previously studied algorithms. The results confirmed an improvement in both complexity and performance.
During the 4th Industrial Revolution, service platforms utilizing diverse contents are emerging, and research on recommended systems that can be customized to users to provide quality service is being conducted. hybrid recommendation systems that provide high accuracy recommendations are being researched in various domains, and various filtering techniques, machine learning, and deep learning are being applied to recommended systems. However, in a recommended service environment where data must be analyzed and processed real time, the accuracy of the recommendation is important, but the computational speed is also very important. Due to high level of model complexity, a hybrid recommendation system or a Deep Learning-based recommendation system takes a long time to calculate. In this paper, a Cascade-hybrid recommended algorithm is proposed that can reduce the computational time while maintaining the accuracy of the recommendation. The proposed algorithm was designed to reduce the complexity of the model and minimize the computational speed while processing sequentially, rather than using existing weights or using a hybrid recommendation technique handled in parallel. Therefore, through the algorithms in this paper, contents can be analyzed and recommended effectively and real time through services such as SNS environments or shared economy platforms.

Although researchers have proposed various recommendation systems, most recommendation approaches are for single users and there are only a small number of recommendation approaches for groups. However, TV programs or movies are most often viewed by groups rather than by single users. Most recommendation approaches for groups assume that single users' profiles are known and that group profiles consist of the single users' profiles. However, because it is difficult to obtain group profiles, researchers have only used synthetic or limited datasets. In this paper, we report on various group recommendation approaches to a real large-scale dataset in a TV domain, and evaluate the various group recommendation approaches. In addition, we provide some guidelines for group recommendation systems, focusing on home group users in a TV domain.

In this modern era of technology and information, e-learning approach has become an integral part of teaching and learning using modern technologies. There are different variations or classification of e-learning approaches. One of notable approaches is Personal Learning Environment (PLE). In a PLE system, the contents are presented to the user in a personalized manner (according to the user's needs and wants). The problem arises when a new user enters the system, and due to the lack of information about the new user's needs and wants, the system fails to recommend him/her the personalized e-learning contents accurately. This phenomenon is known as cold-start problem. In order to address this issue, existing researches propose different approaches for recommendation such as preference profile, user ratings and tagging recommendations. In this research paper, the implementation of a novel interaction-based approach is presented. The interaction-based approach improves the recommendation accuracy for the new-user cold-start problem by integrating preferences profile and tagging recommendation and utilizing the interaction among users and system. This research work takes leverage of the interaction of a new user with the PLE system and generates recommendation for the new user, both implicitly and explicitly, thus solving new-user cold-start problem. The result shows the improvement of 31.57% in Precision, 18.29% in Recall and 8.8% in F1-measure.
