  • There is basic problem with the current evaluation method for character recognition systems. The current method evaluates the average recognition rate by applying the test data to the target system. The average recognition rate tells no more than and no less than the overall performance and it depends on the data. In this paper we propose a testing method which will analyze the target system and point out its strong points and weak points. This can be made possible through using the data which are generated cy distorting the standard character images according to a carefully controlled manner. This paper will describe how to automatically generate such distorted images. Also we will show the method is actually effective and useful by applying it to evaluating existing recognition algorithms.

음성인식 기능을 가진 주소입력 시스템의 개발과 평가 (Development and Evaluation of an Address Input System Employing Speech Recognition)

  • 본 논문은 음성인식 기술을 사용자 인터페이스로 하여 국내 행정 단위 시(도), 구(군), 동(읍,면), 번지로 구성되는 주소를 인식의 대상으로 하는 주소 입력 시스템 구축에 대하여 기술한다. 본 시스템은 사운드카드가 장착된 개인용 컴퓨터상의 윈도우 95환경에서 동작하며, 음성인식부는 인식의 기본단위로 유사음소단위(Phoneme Like Units: PLUs)를 이용하여 CHMM(Continuous Hidden Markov Model) 음소모델을 작성하고, 주소인식을 위해서 주소명의 특징을 고려하여 이에 적합한 유한상태 오토마타(Finite State Automata)를 구성하여 OPDP(One Pass Dynamic Programming)법으로 인식을 수행하였다. 실용성있는 시스템 성능을 얻기 위하여 마이크, 환경잡음 및 화자의 변화 등의 사용환경변화에 대해 최대사후확률추정법(Maximum A Posteriori Probability Estimation: MAP)으로 적응화시켜 인식률의 향상을 도모하였고, 개인용 컴퓨터상에서의 인식속도를 향상시키기 위하여 가변프루닝 문턱치를 이용한 고속화 기법을 제안하였다. 평가결과, 화자적응화 후의 성인 남자 3인에 대한 100개의 연결주소명의 연결단어 인식률은 평균 96.0%이상, 인식속도는 발성완료후 약 2초 이내로 인식이 완료되어 본 시스템의 유효성을 확인할 수 있었다.

대전·충청지역 치과건강보험 요양급여비용 청구자의 인식도 분석조사 (Analysis research about awareness of demanders of recuperation allowance for dental clinic health insurance in Daejun and Chunchung area)

  • Objectives : The recognition rate for issues and improving resolution for the recuperation income expense claim policy was examined. Methods : 1,135 copies of survey have been sent to the group of people who have claimed the dental recuperation income expense to dental recuperation institutions in Daejeon, Chungcheong Do that are registered to the health insurance evaluation and estimation office as of the May 2010 and 207 surveys that were regarded to be sincere for answering were analyzed. Results : Majority of respondence were belonged to the dentist institutions with more than 5 years of claim experiences as well as 10~50% of claim rate. The recognition of medical fee evaluation guideline was normal level, and negative recognition was higher to the health center with daily charge policy compare to the dental hospital and university affiliated dental center with treatment charge policy, Highest opinion for inappropriateness of dentist with significance was found (p<0.05). The openness of evaluation cases are regarded to be discharged through the transparent evaluation and most of the opinions for insurance claim evaluation adjustment are within the both 'Do not understand the evaluation guideline and program error of disease category, code and program' with significance(p<0.05). The reaction after the evaluation adjustment was high in reflection on the claim process after examining the reason for the evaluation adjustment through the evaluation and estimation office and university affiliated dental institution and dental center was regarded to be most active and deputy reclaimment was seemed to be most actively discharge the objection registration task (p<0.05). The claim error improving resolution recognition was highly prioritized to the accurate charting for the disease title and treatment description, improving the setting of claim program, and most highly recognized by the university affiliated dental hospital/dental center and comparably low by health center(p<0.05). and although the most of the responds of treatment description and browsing the medical fee was positive, 50% of dentists disagreed the idea so that this was creating a significant discrepancy with other groups(p<0.05). Conclusions : From this research, the recognition of medical fee evaluation guideline for dental (university) hospital and dentists were negative and high adjustment experience was examined as lacking of evaluation guideline understanding and error of disease name, code and programs and deputy reclaimment, university affiliated dental hospital/dental center were most actively handle the objection registration tasks and dentists have objection on the treatment description and browsing the treatment fee so that if these indexes can be referred to implement into the recuperation income claim process, this can be regarded to be a opportunity to create mutual credibility between recuperation institution, treatment pensioner and the evaluation institutions.

한.칠레 FTA 체결 후 칠레제품 평가에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Evaluation of Chile Goods After Korea-Chile FTA is Signed)

  • 한 칠레는 2011년 현재 한국 수출대상국 중 33위, 수입대상국 중 21위의 적자교역국이다. 그러나 칠레는 수출이 급증함에 따라 칠레 수입시장에서 한국산 제품의 점유율이 FTA 발표 전인 2003년 3.1%에서 2008년에는 5.6%로 상승하였으며, 순위도 2003년 8위에서 2008년 5위로 상승하였다. 이렇듯 한국과 칠레의 FTA 체결에 따른 경제교류의 활성화로 인하여 구리 등 원자재 수입관세의 하락으로 국내 구리사용 기업의 가격 경쟁력을 향상될 뿐만 아니라 가전, 통신 기타 제조업의 수출이 점차로 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 한 칠레 FTA 체결 후에 한국과 칠레의 교역현황을 분석하고, 한 칠레 FTA 체결에 따른 한국소비자의 칠레 제품 평가를 하여, 국내소비자가 FTA 체결국 제품에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는지를 분석하는데 있다. 본 연구 분석결과 '제품태도', '가격인식', '사용안전성', '사용편리성', '디자인(외형)' 등의 요인들은 칠레제품의 인식도에 대한 평가에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있으며, 반면 '품질인식' 요인은 칠레제품의 인지도에 대한 평가에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 분석되었다. 한 EU FTA가 발효되었고, 한 미 FTA 체결이 가시화됨으로써 한 칠레 FTA의 효과가 점차 축소될 우려를 낳고 있다. 이는 양국의 교역량의 감소로 인한 경제교류감소가 국제경제 정책을 수립하는 데 장애요인으로 등장하지 않을까 우려한다.

독일, 덴마크, 노르웨이의 해외자격 평가인정제도 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Evaluation and Recognition of Foreign Qualification in Germany, Denmark, and Norway)

  • 우수한 해외인적 자원의 확보와 활용은 저출산, 고령화로 인해 인구절벽 위기를 직면하고 있는 우리 사회의 중요한 과제라고 할 수 있다. 이에 따라 최근에 '외국인 고용허가, 귀화허가'와 관련된 규제들이 완화되고 있으나, 해외인재 유치에 필수적인 '해외자격 평가인정제도'의 도입에 관한 논의는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내에 해외자격 평가인정제도 구축에 필요한 지식 토대를 마련하기 위해 글로벌 차원의 해외자격평가인정제도의 도입배경과 주요 이슈를 검토하고, 해외자격 평가인정 분야의 선도 국가라고 할 수 있는 "독일, 덴마크, 노르웨이" 사례를 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과, '평가대상, 선행학습 경험인정, 고용허가와의 연계' 등의 면에서 국가간 차이가 있지만, 3개국 모두 1997년에 제정된 유럽 자격상호인정 협약(리스본 인정 협약)에 따라 2000년대부터 해외자격 평가인정체제를 구축하고 있었다. 특히 인구 규모가 작은 노르웨이와 덴마크의 경우 해외자격 평가인정과 외국인 고용허가를 적극적으로 연계하는 특징이 있었다. 이러한 점들은 국내에서 해외자격 평가인정제도를 도입하는 데 있어 고려해야 할 점들에 대해 시사하는 바가 크다.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic material about the improvement method of the hospital evaluation system by grasping recognition, corresponding behavior to evaluation, influence and problems about the hospital evaluation system with respect to the employee of mid sized hospitals having relatively poorer environment. In this study were used 518 questionnaires to hospital employee working at 20 general hospitals in Pusan, Kyungnam with less than 500 beds and having experience of the hospital evaluation during 2005~2007. As a result of the research, they felt the investigation tool used for the hospital evaluation has too many items and it could be difficult to reflect characteristics of each hospital. It appeared that utilization of the report result after the hospital evaluation was helpful for grasping a part necessary for hospital improvement and the present level of hospitals and increase of interest about medical service quality improvement of the a hospital director or hospital employee. They trusted the result of the hospital evaluation to some degree, and recognized it helps the patients to select a hospital and increase rights-to-know. Hospital employee recognized the necessity and showed high interest and participation, but they didn't sympathize in the propriety and the feasibility of the hospital evaluation items. High degree evaluated hospital employee receive hospital evaluation system positively and think hospital services to be improve after taking hospital evaluation. The hospital evaluation should make the hospital to effort to achieve medical quality improvement to its purpose. Also, systematic reformation will be necessary to reflect characteristics of the hospital that has relatively small scale or locates in poor environment.

Smart pattern recognition of structural systems

  • Structural Control relies, with a great deal, on the ability of the control algorithm to identify the current state of the system, at any given point in time. When such algorithms are designed to perform in a smart manner, several smart technologies/devices are called upon to perform tasks that involve pattern recognition and control. Smart pattern recognition is proposed to replace/enhance traditional state identification techniques, which require the extensive manipulation of intricate mathematical equations. Smart pattern recognition techniques attempt to emulate the behavior of the human brain when performing abstract pattern identification. Since these techniques are largely heuristic in nature, it is reasonable to ensure their reliability under real life situations. In this paper, a neural network pattern recognition scheme is explored. The pattern identification of three structural systems is considered. The first is a single bay three-story frame. Both the second and the third models are variations on benchmark problems, previously published for control strategy evaluation purposes. A Neural Network was developed and trained to identify the deformed shape of structural systems under earthquake excitation. The network was trained, for each individual model system, then tested under the effect of a different set of earthquake records. The proposed smart pattern identification scheme is considered an integral component of a Smart Structural System. The Reliability assessment of such component represents an important stage in the evaluation of an overall reliability measure of Smart Structural Systems. Several studies are currently underway aiming at the identification of a reliability measure for such smart pattern recognition technique.

얼굴인식 기술동향 (Face Recognition: A Survey)

  • 생체 인식은 개인의 고유한 생체 정보를 획득하여 개인 식별에 이용하는 기술로, 그중 얼굴 인식은 사용자의 편의성과 비강제성이라는 장점이 있는 응용기술로 평가 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 얼굴인식 기술동향을 살펴보고 얼굴 영역 추출, 특정 추출, 매칭을 포함한 시스템에 대해 논한다. 얼굴 영역 추출에는 얼굴 형판 정합 방법과 얼굴 요소의 검출에 의한 방법을, 특정 추출에서는 PCA 와 LDA 등의 방법을, 그리고 매칭을 통한 인증 단계에서는 최근접 분류기를 소개한다. 다양한 얼굴 인식 기법들이 제시됨에 따라 공인된 성능 평가 방법이 필요하게 되는데, 대용량 표준 얼굴 DE의 구축과 얼굴 인식 성능 평가 방법 개발의 필요성을 제시한다. 향후 얼굴인식 시스템에서는 조명, 자세, 표정의 변화를 어떻게 보정하여 인식 할 것인가 하는 것이 연구되어야 할 핵심 분야로서 3차원 얼굴 영상 복원 기술을 통한 해결방법을 살펴본다.

  • This study is the first attempt to raise face recognition ability through machine learning algorithm and apply to CRM's information gathering, analysis and application. In other words, through face recognition of VIP customer in distribution field, we can proceed more prompt and subdivided customized services. The interest in machine learning, which is used to implement artificial intelligence, has increased, and it has become an age to automate it by using machine learning beyond the way that a person directly models an object recognition process. Among them, Deep Learning is evaluated as an advanced technology that shows amazing performance in various fields, and is applied to various fields of image recognition. Face recognition, which is widely used in real life, has been developed to recognize criminals' faces and catch criminals. In this study, two image analysis models, TF-SLIM and Inception-V3, which are likely to be used for criminal face recognition, were selected, analyzed, and implemented. As an evaluation criterion, the image recognition model was evaluated based on the accuracy of the face recognition program which is already being commercialized. In this experiment, it was evaluated that the recognition accuracy was good when the accuracy of the image classification was more than 90%. A limit of our study which is a way to raise face recognition is left as a further research subjects.

후각 센서를 이용한 냄새 인식 및 실감형 멀티미디어 표현 기술 (A technology of realistic multi-media display and odor recognition using olfactory sensors)

  • In this paper, we propose a floral scent recognition using odor sensors and a odor display using odor distribution system. Proposed odor recognition has method of correlation coefficient between sensors that select optimal sensors in floral scent recognition system of selective multi-sensors. Proposed floral scent recognition system consists of four module such as floral scent acquisition module, optimal sensor decision module, entropy-based floral scent detection module, and floral scent recognition module. Odor distribution system consists of generation module of distribution information, control module of distribution, output module of distribution. We applied to floral scent recognition for performance evaluation of proposed sensors decision method. As a result, application of proposed method with floral scent recognition obtained recognition rate of 95.67% case of using 16 sensors while applied floral scent recognition system of proposed sensor decision method confirmed recognition rate of 96% using only 8 sensors. Also, we applied to odor display of proposed method and obtained 3.18 thorough MOS experimentation.
