자동차용 라운드 리클라이너 정적/동적 구조 강도 평가 (Evaluation of Static/Dynamic Structural Strength for Automotive Round Recliner)

  • This study presents the development of a round recliner using the finite element method. That reduces the number of test repeating times and gives an information about stiffness. A simulation model of round recliner mounting seat module and tooth strength simulation are established using a PAM-CRASH and ABAQUS. With the optimization of gear profile, structural strength design of round recliner was achieved. The round recliner seat module simulation, structure strength simulation and a crash safety are requested by FMVSS test. Solution of round recliner optimum variable study and design problem are searched for round recliner stress, deformation and application. Also an examination of safety is made.

  • Seat is one of the most important part of an automobile for passenger's safety especially when an accident happens. A recliner is a part of the seat assembly, having the function of adjusting the back-plate angle of a seat. Recently, many kinds of vehicles have adopted the round recliner module rather than the conventional types of recliners because of its broad compatibility and structural simplicity. In this study a two-dimensional finite element strength analysis has been performed using a commercial code ABAQUS/Standard for the purpose of developing a new round recliner model. The loading condition for the analysis is the same as the FMVSS 301 regulation. The finite element result for the round recliner has been compared with that for the conventional type.

  • Recliner of automotive seat has the function to control the angle and has a close relation to the safety of seat. Therefore each of parts constituting recliner is important and recliner case to protect these parts from various dynamic loads is also important. As two kinds of recliner cases are designed and analyzed before manufacturing these products, this study result can be contributed to the strength durability.

  • Fine blanking is a specialized form of blanking where there is no fracture zone when shearing. This is achieved by compressing the whole part and then an upper and lower punch extract the blank. This allows the process to hold very tight tolerances, and perhaps eliminate secondary operations. In the present study, tensile test and numerical simulation has been performed to investigate distribution of deformation and stress of car seat recliner. The commercial ABAQUS/Explicit software was applied for analyzing the stress and strain of the recliner. In analysis, three lock gear has reached the maximum moment on rotational degree of 2.27. This is more than two times than maximum moment of same size recliner, and can be used safely. Therefore, these can use as criterion of actual structural design.

  • Belt Integrated Seat(BIS) has many advantages compared to the existing seats. Due to the development of materials and manufacturing technology, BIS, which has been used restrictely in the past, has gone through a rapid growth. As a result, its advantages have gained attention and the possibility of replacing the existing seats has grown. The need to develop BIS has risen and presently joint development with associated industries is in progress. For its first goal, the development and research of Recliner sensor has been selected. Recliner sensor is an essential part of the BIS in which the belt is incorporated onto the seat. In seat-belts, there is an inclination sensor which locks the belt according to the angle of a car. Because the inclination sensor can change frequently depending on the back of seat, a device which can enhance the inclination sensor according to the angle of the back of seat. It is the Recliner sensor that play's this role. Studies on Recliner sensor within and outside Korea has not yet made a salient progress, and due to this fact, the joint development has made a start by benchmarking other company's products. Currently, in other to set the course of the development, a research in patents and various other information is being done. In addition, for the purpose of developing a product which will be compatible with the existing products, a prototype will be made and tested before a new product makes its launching on the market.

유한요소해석을 이용한 차량용 파워 시트 리클라이너의 방사 소음에 관한 연구 (A Study on Radiation Noise of Vehicle Power Seat Recliner using Finite Element Analysis)

  • In this study, the analysis of radiation noise and chattering noise of vehicle seat recliner was conducted through testing and analysis. First, operating noise was measured by seat back frame and recliner, and chattering noise was confirmed. Next, the transient dynamic analysis was performed, and the result was mapped to the acoustic analysis. Finally, the test and analysis were compared and analyzed. The results are as follow. First, it was found that the peaks appeared in common in the range of 620~650Hz, 1,240~1,290 Hz, and 1,840~1,940 Hz. It was judged that the dynamic characteristics of the recliner system overlapped with the rotation component of the motor to cause amplification of noise and vibration. Next, as a result of imaging the radiation noise analysis, it was judged that the noise radiated in the forward and backward direction has a greater influence than the direction of the rotation axis when the ear position of the person is taken as a reference.

차량용 시트 리클라이너 기어의 동적 해석 (A Study on the Dynamic Analysis of Recliner Gear for Vehicle Power Seats)

  • This study analyzed the load change of the gear generated by the operation of the vehicle recliner through Finite Element Analysis. The basic model of the recliner used was a commercial product, and the effect of the seat frame was excluded. The load conditions applied to the recliner were set considering gravity, the mass of the seat's back frame, and the weight of a person. The operating mode was set to move the seat back from the vertical to the reclined position. As a result, it was found that the tooth bending amount of the gear rim and wheel increased from the cam rotation angle of 450 degrees, and a change in the contact ratio occurred. Furthermore, excessive torque fluctuations occurred in the ranges of 390 to 450 and 750 to 710 degrees. It was found that this occurred in the region of about 30 degrees before and after the point where the x-axis direction load is larger than the y-direction load. From this torque fluctuation it was determined to likely to cause chattering noise.

  • In this paper, we propose a test method to evaluate the reliability of the recliner sofa in the early stage of production. In order to develop the test method, we analyzed the failure mechanism occurring in the field and designed the performance test, environmental test, accelerated life test methods based on the analysis of failure mechanism. The failure mechanism is reproduced by applying the designed test. The reliability of the recliner sofa can be verified at the production stage through the proposed test method.

  • 자동차 시트 리크라이너는 시트 등받이의 각도를 조절하는 기능을 가지며, 시트의 안전성과 밀접한 영향이 있다. 따라서 리크라이너를 구성하는 각 부품들은 매우 중요하며, 이러한 부품들을 각종 동적 하중들로부터 보호할 수 있는 리크라이너 하우징 역시 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 고장력강판(SPFC 980)으로 제작된 t=3mm 리크라이너 하우징을 실제 차량 시트에 적용한다. 또한 내구 실험기를 통하여 변형량을 조사하였으며, 실험과 동일한 조건하에서 시뮬레이션 해석을 수행하여 변형량과 등가응력을 분석하였다. 실험값과 해석값을 토대로 하여 1mm 및 2mm 두께의 리크라이너들을 모델링 한 후 구조해석을 통하여 변형량 및 등가응력을 알아보았다.

  • This study was carried out the experimental and the analysis for process of carburizing and quenching, evaluated the reliability of mock-up. Carburizing of comer of rock gear was higher than body regardless of condition of eight processes, and the end of gear tooth was more highly distributed than root. Hardness of surface shows the maximum value and was decreased linear to depth direction. The result of analysis wasn't nearly the heat deformation. In mock-up, tooth flank increased 0.096%, thickness of tooth decreased 0.11% and body increased 0.11%. It had no trouble with assembly and operation like this. The mock-up of recliner for automobile was secured stability by four types of test.
