Bronchogenic cysts,though known as a relatively common malformation of the mediastinum, were rarely discussed in Korea literatures. Since the surgical removal of asymptomatic lesions was adopted as the reasonable therapeutic principle,the incidence of bronchogenic cysts has been found higher than previously supposed. Four cases of bronchogenic cysts operated on in the department of chest surgery, SNUH, were reported and the related literatures were reviewed.

A quadrature rule for the solution of Cauchy singular integral equation is constructed and investigated. This method to calculate numerically singular integrals uses classical Jacobi quadratures adopting Hunter's method. The proposed method is convergent under a reasonable assumption on the smoothness of the solution.

Bronchogenic cyst is a congenital cystic lesion which is usually found within the lung parenchyme or mediasitnum. Since the surgical removal of asymptomatic lesions was adopted as the reasonable therapeutic principle and increased use of roentgenograms of the thorax, many more cases of bronchogenic cysts are being observed. Seven cases of bronchogenic cysts were presented and related literatures were reviewed.

This paper is concerned with the mathematical concept displayed in Buddhism, which is reasonable enough to consider as a philosophy and encompasses the concept of infinity as scientific as that of mathematics. The purpose of this paper is to examine the changing process of the Buddhism concept of infinity on the basis of time sequence and to combine this with that of mathematics.

Many of the familiar roadside signs advertising caves open to the public carry the phrase, “Come underground and cool off”. This is reasonable advice, for during the heat of summer the temperature of these caves is indeed pleasantly cool. If the principal tourist season were in the winter instead of the summer, however, the signs would probably read, “Come underground and warm up”, for in winter these same caves are far warmer than the surface. Cave temperatures are nearly constant throughout the year.

일반적으로 PSC 교량은 여러개의 강선을 포함하며, 이러한 강선들의 긴장순서에 따라 정착부의 파열력의 크기는 좌우된다. 그럼에도 불구하고 강선긴장순서에 대한 연구부족으로 강선긴장시 긴장순서를 설계자의 경험이나 직관에 의하여 결정하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 정착부의 파열력을 산정하는 여러 방법에 대하여 고찰한 후, 가장 합리적인 해석방법을 선택하여 PSC 교량중에서 가장 대표적인 PSC빔교와 PSC박스거더교에 대하여 해석을 통한 합리적인 긴장순서를 결정하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방법은 PSC교량 정착부의 파열력을 최소화하는 강선긴장순서 결정에 유용한 방법이 될 것이다.

This study was to identify the dimensions of consumers' attitudes toward imported casual brands. Another objectives were to examine consumers' attitude according to the preference group, and to ascertain the imported casual brand images. The 55 Likert type questions were selected through the results of self-questionnaire analyses. 520 females aged between 20 to 29 in Pusan responded to the second questionnaire of consumers' attitudes and brand images toward imported casual brands. The results were as follows: 1. For final factor analysis, 56 selected from 85 questions were subjected to the principal component analyses with orthogonal rotation after extraction of 5 major factors. 2. Five dimensions are brand's uniqueness and good quality, high prestige, incongruity with native emotion and ethnocentrism, conspicuous consumption, and reasonable purchasing advantages. These factors explained 45.0% of total variance. 3. Five dimensions were different according to the degree of preference. For preference group, they purchased the imported casual brands by uniqueness, good quality and reasonable purchasing advantages. For non-preference group, they disliked the imported brands by incongruity with native emotion, ethnocentrism, and conspicuous consumption. 4. Preference group had 5.47, whereas non-preference group had 1.76 pieces of imported casual brands for this 2 years. This result suggests that to develop the domestic brands with international uniqueness, good quality, and high prestige, and to improve according to preference group are necessary.
