  • Nowadays, the researches study high rate and real-time query applications seem to be real-time query scheduling protocols and energy aware real time query protocols. Also the WSNs should provide the quality of data in real time query applications that is more and more popular for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Thus we propose the quality of data function to merge into energy efficiency called energy join quality aware realtime query scheduling (EJQRTQ). Our work calculate the energy ratio that considers interference of queries, and then compute the expected quality of query and allocate slots to real-time preemptive query scheduler.

  • EtherCAT is an Ethernet-based fieldbus system standardized in IEC 61158 and SEMI, and widely used in the fields of factory automation, semiconductor equipment and robotics. In this paper, we summarize the current status of Xenomai real-time framework and RTnet, which are essential for Linux operating systems to operate in real-time, and implement a real-time EtherCAT master system with these open sources. The real-time performance of the implemented EtherCAT master is evaluated according to Intel network controllers 82574L, I219, I210, and I225, respectively. The results show that the implemented EtherCAT master provides precise control performance for control frequencies from 1KHz to 8KHz and similar performance for I219, I210, and I225, and relatively slightly larger jitter for 82574L.

  • In this paper, we develope a LOB(Limit Order Book) analyzing tool for an automated trading system, which features real-time and offline analysis of LOB data in conjunction with execution data. The 10-tier LOB data analyzer developed in this paper, which contains ask/bid prices and the execution data, receivs transaction requests in real-time from the Kiwoom Open API+ server. In the OnReceiveTrData event, the transaction data from the server is received and processed. The real-time data, triggered by the transaction, is received and processed in the OnReceiveRealData event. These two types of data are stored in a database and replayed in the same way as if it were a real-time situation in simulation mode. The LOB data are selectively read and analyzed in a necessary time points. The tool provides various features such as bar chart analysis and pattern analysis of the total shares on the bid side and ask side, which are used to develop a tool to accurately determine the timing of stock trading.

  • With the recent performance improvement of mobile devices as well as the emergence of various applications, not only interactive tasks but also real-time tasks are rapidly increasing. As real-time tasks have deadline requirements, resource management policies used in the conventional time-sharing systems have limitations in satisfying real-time constraints. In this paper, we examine how to efficiently manage resources while satisfying the constraints of real-time tasks through end-to-end resource management of CPU, memory, and storage when interactive and real-time tasks are executed concurrently on a mobile device. Instead of suggesting complicated resource management policies, we focus on examining the basic concepts necessary for each resource management. Specifically, we first look at basic policies such as assigning dedicated CPU cores for real-time tasks, allocating a certain working set of real-time tasks in memory, and using fast storage without context switch in I/O. We then consider how these basic policies can be adopted efficiently.

  • This paper provides some properties of positive real systems in time domain. It is well-known that a positive real system and a bounded real system are closely related by bilinear transform in a frequency domain. By using supply rate and storage function, we show that a positive real system can be transformed into a bounded real system, and that a positive real system can be transformed into another positive real system with in a time domain. Also, we show that an ESPR(extended strictly positive real) system can be decomposed into a feedback system of lossless positive real system and another ESPR system. These results may be used to design an output feedback controller for mixed H$H_2$ESPR problem.

  • Malaria is a re-emerging infectious disease that is spreading to areas where it had been eradicated, such as Eastern Europe and Central Asia. To avoid the mortality from malaria, early detection of the parasite is a very important issue. The peripheral blood smear has been the gold standard method for the diagnosis of malaria infection. Recently, several other methods have been introduced for quantitative detection of malaria parasites. Real time PCR that employs fluorescent labels to enable the continuous monitoring of PCR product formation throughout the reaction has recently been used to detect several human malaria parasites. 18S rRNA sequences from malaria parasites have been amplified using Taqman real time PCR assay. Here, a SYBR Green-based real time quantitative PCR assay for the detection of malaria parasite-especially, Plasmodium vivax - was applied for the evaluation of 26 blood samples from Korean malaria patients. Even though SYBR Green-based real time PCR is easier and cheaper than Taqman-based assay, SYBR Green-based assay cannot be used because 18S rRNA cannot be specifically amplified using 1 primer set. Therefore, we used DBP gene sequences from Plasmodium vivax, which is specific for the SYBR Green based assays. We amplified the DBP gene from the 26 blood samples of malaria patients using SYBR Green based assay and obtained the copy numbers of DBP genes for each sample. Also, we selected optimal reference gene between ACTB and B2M using real time assay to get the stable genes regardless of Malaria titer. Using selected ACTB reference genes, we successfully converted the copy numbers from samples into titer, ${\sharp}$ of parasites per microliter. Using the resultant titer from DBP based SYBER Green assay with ACTB reference gene, we compared the results from our study with the titer from Taqman-based assay. We found that our results showed identical tendency with the results of 18S rRNA Taqman assay, especially in lower titer range. Thus, our DBP gene-utilized real time assay can detect Plasmodium vivax in Korean patient group semi-quantitatively and easily.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy tuning discrete-time repetitive control is suggested for a robot manipulator. Real-time implementation of this type of repetitive controller is also performed for a 2 link direct drive robot by using a real-time control system which consists of a real-time OS(Spectra), a single board computer, a communication board and an analog input/output board. First, it is shown that the tracking error is effectively reduced by discrete-time repetitive control. Second, the convergence performance is shown to be much improved by the suggested controller using real-time experimentations.

  • This paper discuss the real-time self-tuning learning control based on evolutionary computation, which proves its the superiority in the finding of the optimal solution at the off-line learning method. The individuals are reduced in order to learn the evolutionary strategy in real-time, and new method that guarantee the convergence of evolutionary mutations are proposed. It possible to control the control object varied as time changes. As the state value of the control object is generated, applied evolutionary strategy each sampling time because the learning process of an estimation, selection, mutation in real-time. These algorithms can be applied, the people who do not have knowledge about the technical tuning of dynamic systems could design the controller or problems in which the characteristics of the system dynamics are slightly varied as time changes.
