Throughout the 20th century, the transition of pig farms from extensive to intensive commercial operations amplified the risk of disease transmission, particularly involving African swine fever (ASF). Real-time temperature monitoring systems have emerged as essential tools for early ASF diagnosis. In this paper, we introduce new real-time temperature monitoring ear tags (RTMEs) modeled after existing ear tag designs. Our crafted Pig-Temp platforms have three primary advantages. First, they can be effortlessly attached to pig ears, ensuring superior compatibility. Second, they enable real-time temperature detection, and the data can be displayed on a personal computer or smartphone application. Furthermore, they demonstrate excellent measurement accuracy, ranging from 98.9% to 99.8% at temperatures between 2.2 and 360℃. A linear regression approach enables fever symptoms associated with ASF to be identified within 3 min using RTMEs. The communication range extends to approximately 12 m (452 m2), enabling measurements from an estimated 75 to 2,260 pigs per gateway. These newly developed Pig-Temp platforms offer singifcant enhancement of early ASF detection.

Optical Temperature Distribution Sensor Measurement System uses fiber optic sensors itself for temperature measurement is a system which can be measured the Installed surrounding entire temperature as a thousand points by laying a single strand of fiber optic. If there are a lot of measuring points in the distribution Measurement, the cost of each measuring point can be reduced the cost level of existing sensors and at the same time this has the advantage of connecting all sensors as one or two strands of fiber. Generally Optical Fiber is used for communication but Optical Fiber itself can be used for sensor and it has the characteristic of sensor function which can be measured Temperature in the at least each one meter distance. By using these characteristics each sensor and the number of Connection Lines can be reduced. In this paper, we implement a real time temperature monitoring system, which is easy to manage and control for data storage, data management, data storage using a computer and which has the functions of monitoring and correction according to Real-time temperature changes using historical temperature data.

Nondestructive inspection and accompanying life analysis based on fracture mechanics were the major conventional methods for evaluating remaining life of critical high temperature components in power plants. By using these conventional methods, it has been difficult to perform in-service inspection for life prediction. Also, quantitative damage evaluation due to unexpected abrupt changes in operating temperature was almost impossible. Thus, many efforts have been made for evaluating remaining life during operation of the plants and predicting real-time life usage values based on the shape of structures, operating history, and material properties. In this study, a core software for on-line life monitoring system which carries out real-time life evaluation of a critical component in power boiler(high temperature steam headers) is developed. The software is capable of evaluating creep and fatigue life usage from the real-time stress data calculated by using temperature/stress transfer Green functions derived for the specific headers and by counting transient cycles. The major benefits of the developed software lie in determining future operating schedule, inspection interval, and replacement plan by monitoring real-time life usage based on prior operating history.
How accurately reproducible energy is delivered to the wafer in the process of making thin films using PE-CVD (Plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) during the semiconductor process. This is the most important technique, and most of the reaction on the wafer surface is made by thermal energy. In this study, we studied the method of monitoring the change of thermal energy transferred to the wafer surface by monitoring the temperature change according to the change of the thin film formed on the showerhead facing the wafer. Through this research, we could confirm the monitoring of wafer thin-film which is changed due to abnormal operation and accumulation of equipment, and we can expect improvement of semiconductor quality and yield through process reproducibility and equipment status by real-time monitoring of problem of deposition process equipment performance.

The state changes of ocean covered over 70% of earth surface are one of the greatest factor of weather catastrophe. Recently weather extraordinary events are followed by steep increase of sea water temperature and scientists in various fields are studying and warning the weather changes. In this paper, floating buoy is developed to monitor ocean environments via Orbcomm satellite and a method is proposed to increase measurement accuracy of sea water temperature with common low price temperature sensor. Experimental results are presented to illustrate the usability and effectiveness of the developed system. A web-based real time monitoring system is built to monitor ocean environmental information such as sea and air temperature, salinity according to the position of buoy through the internet for user convenience.

A number of plating companies have been exposed to the risk of fire due to unexpected temperature increasing of water in a plating bath. Since the companies are not able to forecast the unexpected temperature increasing of water and most of raw materials in the plating process have low ignition temperature, it is easy to be exposed to the risk of fire. Thus, the companies have to notice the changes immediately to prevent the risk of fire from plating process. Due to this reason, an agile and systematic temperature monitoring system is required for the plating companies. Unfortunately, in case of small size companies, it is hard to purchase a systematic solution and be offered consulting from one of the risk management consulting companies due to an expensive cost. In addition, most of the companies have insufficient research and development (R&D) experts to autonomously develop the risk management solution. In this article, we developed a real time remote temperature monitoring system which is easy to operate with a lower cost. The system is constructed by using Raspberry Pi single board computer and Android application to release an economic issue for the small sized plating manufacturing companies. The derived system is able to monitor the temperature continuously with tracking the temperature in the batch in a short time and transmit a push-alarm to a target-device located in a remoted area when the temperature exceeds a certain hazardous-temperature level. Therefore, the target small plating company achieves a risk management system with a small cost.

Since real-time monitoring system like a fault early detection has been very important, infrared thermography technique as a new diagnosis method was proposed. This study is focused on the damage detection and temperature characteristic analysis of ball bearing using the non-destructive infrared thermography method. In this paper, for the reliability assessment, infrared experimental data were compared with the frequency data of the existing. As results, the temperature characteristics of ball bearing were analyzed under various loading conditions. Finally it was confirmed that the infrared technique was useful for real-time detection of the bearing damages.
Temperature and humidity data collection using real-time sensors and data loggers was conducted for integrated pest management in the collection storage and exhibition space of the Jeongnimsaji Museum, Buyeo. The real-time temperature and humidity monitoring system collected measurement data every 30 minutes and enabled real-time confirmation of the data through a linked application. If the temperature and humidity data measured in the real-time temperature and humidity monitoring system exceeds the set range, a push notification was sent to the mobile phone of the person in charge to provide status information to establish a continuous management system. Through this, it was possible to immediately recognize and take action when the temperature range exceeded the recommended relic temperature in August. We performed data visualization on the concentration of airborne fungus in the storage area and the inflow path and density of insects. Based on the recommended criteria presented by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, The data on the spatial and temporal concentration of airborne fungus inside the collection storage were found to be maintained at a value below the standard recommended by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (80 CFU/m3). Also, as a result of the insect inflow survey, no insects were captured inside the storage area, and in the case of the exhibition space, insects such as Scutigera coleoptrata, Loxoblemmus arietulus, Diestrammena asynamora, Koreoniscus racovitzai were captured. Based on this, as a result of visualization according to the individual density of captured insects by area, it was confirmed that the main inflow paths of insects were the external entrance and the toilet area.

Optical fiber temperature sensing systems have incomparable advantages over traditional electrical-cable-based monitoring systems. However, the fiber optic interrogators and sensors have often been rejected as a temperature monitoring technology in real-world industrial applications because of high cost and over-specification. This study proposes a multiplexed fiber optic temperature monitoring sensor system using an economical Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and Hard-Polymer-Clad Fiber (HPCF). HPCF is a special optical fiber in which a hard polymer cladding made of fluoroacrylate acts as a protective coating for an inner silica core. An OTDR is an optical loss measurement system that provides optical loss and event distance measurement in real time. A temperature sensor array with the five sensor nodes at 10-m interval was economically and quickly made by locally stripping HPCF clad through photo-thermal and photo-chemical processes using a continuous/pulse hybrid-mode laser. The exposed cores created backscattering signals in the OTDR attenuation trace. It was demonstrated that the backscattering peaks were independently sensitive to temperature variation. Since the 1.5-mm-long exposed core showed a 5-m-wide backscattering peak, the OTDR with a spatial resolution of 40 mm allows for making a sensor node at every 5 m for independent multiplexing. The performance of the sensor node included an operating range of up to $120^{\circ}C$, a resolution of $0.59^{\circ}C$, and a temperature sensitivity of $-0.00967dB/^{\circ}C$. Temperature monitoring errors in the environment tests stood at $0.76^{\circ}C$ and $0.36^{\circ}C$ under the temperature variation of the unstrapped fiber region and the vibration of the sensor node. The small sensitivities to the environment and the economic feasibility of the highly multiplexed HPCF temperature monitoring sensor system will be important advantages for use as system-integrated temperature sensors.
The real-time dynamic rating system(DRS) can provide the maximum ampacity within required periods, so it can help the transmission-line operation more safely and efficiently. Because the conductor temperature is the main limit of increasing rating current, conductor temperature monitoring(CTM) technology is the basic to DRS. In this paper, real-time CTM was developed for 345kV XLPE cable in tunnel and we have also compared the CTM result of this study with the result according to IEC 287 and JCS 168 thermal parameters.
