A Real Time Multiplayer Network Game System Based on a History Re-Transmission Algorithm

  • Current video games and game room games are played as a single player mode on the basis of various emulators. With the evolution of data communications and game technology, a new trend in the game industry has made the primary interests of game developers and companies in the game industry be moved toward a multiplayer mode from the traditional single player mode. In this paper, we represent how to implement a network game platform by allowing network modules to be run in conjunction with the current video emulator games. It also suggests a synchronization scheme for real-time game playout and practical mechanism that can support network games to be played with the Peer-to-Peer process using a lobby system.

Displacement prediction in geotechnical engineering based on evolutionary neural network

  • It is very important to study displacement prediction in geotechnical engineering. Nowadays, the grey system method, time series analysis method and artificial neural network method are three main methods. Based on the brief introduction, the three methods are analyzed comprehensively. Their merits and demerits, applied ranges are revealed. To solve the shortcomings of the artificial neural network method, a new prediction method based on new evolutionary neural network is proposed. Finally, through two real engineering applications, the analysis of three main methods and the new evolutionary neural network method all have been verified. The results show that, the grey system method is a kind of exponential approximation to displacement sequence, and time series analysis is linear autoregression approximation, while artificial neural network is nonlinear autoregression approximation. Thus, the grey system method can suitably analyze the sequence, which has the exponential law, the time series method can suitably analyze the random sequence and the neural network method almostly can be applied in any sequences. Moreover, the prediction results of new evolutionary neural network method is the best, and its approximation sequence and the generalization prediction sequence are all coincided with the real displacement sequence well. Thus, the new evolutionary neural network method is an acceptable method to predict the measurement displacements of geotechnical engineering.

스마트 폰을 이용한 광 통신망 감시 시스템 (Optical Network Monitoring System Using Smart Phone)

  • 본 논문은 스마트 폰을 활용하여 광 전송망 구간을 실시간으로 감시하는 시스템이다. 기존의 광 통신망 구간은 스마트 폰과 접속함체의 여장판에 스위치 설치를 활용하여 현장의 상황을 실시간으로 인지 하는 시스템이 없었다. 본 연구는 스마트 폰의 Application과 접속함체 스위치를 이용하여 실시간으로 유지보수를 할 수 있도록 했다. 스마트 폰 Web은 접속함체 장애 위치를 찾는데 유용하며, 접속함체 내부에 있는 여장판 벨크로 타이를 분리하면 스위치가 작동하여 심선의 밴딩을 주어서push message를 발생하게 한다. 접속함체 작업과 장애가 발생하면 스마트폰을 이용하여 OTDR측정을 하여 위치 추적을 할 수 있도록 하는 연구이다. 스마트 폰을 이용하여 실시간 광케이블 구간을 관리함으로써 장애 시간 단축과 전송망 품질을 효율적으로 유지보수 할 수 있다.

차량 내 멀티미디어 네트워크를 이용한 DSP 기반 실시간 영상 전송 시스템의 구현 (The Implementation of DSP-Based Real-Time Video Transmission System using In-Vehicle Multimedia Network)

  • 본 논문은 멀티미디어 광 네트워크인 MOST를 통해 차량의 카메라에서 입력된 영상을 실시간으로 전송하여 디스플레이 할 수 있는 MOST 기반 영상 송 수신 시스템을 제안하였다. 기존의 차량에서는 카메라를 아날로그 형태로 연결하여 영상을 전송하였으나, 차량에 장착되는 카메라의 수가 점점 증가함에 따라 네트워크로 연결하여 영상을 전송하는 것을 요구하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 영상 전송을 위해 DSP를 이용하여 MPEG 인코딩과 디코딩을 하였다. 그리고 DSP와 MOST 네트워크 컨트롤러 사이의 스트림 데이터 전송은 MediaLB를 이용하였다. 이때 DSP가 MediaLB와의 연결을 지원하지 않기 때문에 스트림 데이터를 직접 주고 받을 수 없다. 따라서 FPGA를 사용하여 MediaLB를 통해 전송되는 스트림 데이터를 DSP에 전달하도록 하였다. MediaLB는 MOST 네트워크에 대한 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 응용 프로그램 개발을 쉽게 할 수 있도록 해주고 모든 MOST 네트워크의 데이터 전송방법을 지원한다 본 논문에서 제안된 시스템으로 실시간 영상 전송을 테스트 한 결과 정상적으로 동작하는 것을 확인하였다.

분산형 저류시설의 실시간 네트워크 제어기술 적용시 고려 사항 (Methods for an application of real-time network control on distributed storage facilities)

  • Optimal operation of a combined sewer network with distributed storage facilities aims to use the whole retention capacity of all reservoirs efficiently before overflows take place somewhere in the considered network system. An efficient real-time network control (RTNC) strategy has been emerging as an attractive approach for reducing substantially the overflows from a sewer network compared to the conventional fixed or manually adjusted gate setting method, but the related concrete framework for RTC development has not been throughly introduced so far. The main goal of this study is to give a detailed description of the RTNC systems via reviewing several guidelines published abroad, and finally to suggest methods for the proper application of RTNC on distributed storage facilities. Especially, this study is focused on emphasizing the importance of hierarchical structure of RTNC system that consists of three control layers (management, global control and local control). Further, with regard to the global control layer which is responsible for the central overall network control, the wide-ranging details of two components (adaption and optimization layers) are also presented. This study can provide the valuable basis for the RTNC implementation in the particular sewer network with distributed multiple storage facilities.

  • We propose a real time gas monitoring system for classifying various gases with different concentrations. Using thermal modulation of operating temperature of two sensors, we extract patterns of gases from the voltage across the load resistance. We adopt the relative resistance as a pre-processing method and an ART2 neural network as a pattern recognition method. The proposed method has been implemented in a real time embedded system with tin oxide gas sensors, TGS 2611, 2602 and an MSP430 ultra-low power microcontroller in the test chamber.

  • Recently, network systems are widely used in several areas, and some considerable attentions have been directed to the Networked Control System(NCS). In NCS, network-induced delays are inevitable, and they sometimes degrade the performance of networked control systems to be a source of potential instability. In this paper, We proposes a compensation method for networked control system subject to network-induced delays by using a simple method, which is based on a sort of predictive strategy. To evaluate its feasibility and effectiveness, a real-time NCS for a rotary inverted pendulum is implemented via an Ethernet. Based on the experimental results. we show that the proposed simple method can be a practical and feasible solution to NCS design.

  • In this paper, a real-time communication method using a PICNET-NP(Plant instrumentation and Control Network for Nuclear Power plant) is proposed with an analysis of the control network requirements of DCS(Distributed Control System) in nuclear power plants. The method satisfies deadline in case of worst data traffics by considering aperiodic and periodic real-time data and others. In addition, the method was used to analyze the data characteristics of the DCS in existing nuclear power plant. The result shows that use of this method meets the response time requirement(100ms).

Real-time Camera and Video Streaming Through Optimized Settings of Ethernet AVB in Vehicle Network System

  • This paper presents the latest Ethernet standardization of in-vehicle network and the future trends of automotive Ethernet technology. The proposed system provides design and optimization algorithms for automotive networking technology related to AVB (Audio Video Bridge) technology. We present a design of in-vehicle network system as well as the optimization of AVB for automotive. A proposal of Reduced Latency of Machine to Machine (RLMM) plays an outstanding role in reducing the latency among devices. RLMM's approach to real-world experimental cases indicates a reduction in latency of around 41.2%. The setup optimized for the automotive network environment is expected to significantly reduce the time in the development and design process. The results obtained in the study of image transmission latency are trustworthy because average values were collected over a long period of time. It is necessary to analyze a latency between multimedia devices within limited time which will be of considerable benefit to the industry. Furthermore, the proposed reliable camera and video streaming through optimized AVB device settings would provide a high level of support in the real-time comprehension and analysis of images with AI (Artificial Intelligence) algorithms in autonomous driving.

  • 본 논문에서는 전자상거래 시스템에서 요구하는 상호운용성과 실시간 요구사항들을 지원할 수 있는 실시간 웹 미들웨이(RTWM Real-Time Web Middleware) 프레임워크를 제안한다. RTWM시스템은 전자상거래 시스템의 실시간 요구사항들을 지원하기 위해CORBA 객체 서비스 구조를 확장하여 이벤트 모니터, 실시간 스케줄러, 실시간 이벤트 서비스 등의 객체 컴포넌트를 포함하는 구조를 가진다. 특히, 본 논문에서는 전자상거래 사용자의 실시간 요구사항을 지원할 수 있는 실시간 이벤트 필터링을 제공하는 것에 중점을 두었다. 사용자로부터 시간적 제약조건과 원하는 이벤트 정보를 입력받아 QoS저장소에 저장하고, 실시간 이벤트가 발생하며RTFA(Real-Time Fitering Agent)를 통해 소비자가 원하는 이벤트를 필터링하여 제공하게 된다. 이로써 사용자는 보다 높은 서비스를 제공받게 되고 이 과정을 통해 전체적인 네트워크 트래픽이 감소되는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
