선로사고 및 선로용량을 고려한 전력계통 최적운영에 관한 연구 (Study on the Calculation of the Optimal Power System Operation Considering Line Contingencies and Line Capacities)

  • The optimal operation of power system is developed by alternately using real power dispatch and reactive power dispatch problem. The real power system scheduling process is formulated as an optimization problem with linear inequality constraints. A.C. loadflow method is used for the problem solution and line losses are considered. The constraints under consideration are generator power limits, load scehdling limits and line capacity limits. In solving the objective function the Dual Relaxation method is adopted. Tests indicate that the method is practical for real time application. The reactive power control problem uses the Dual Simplex Relaxation method as in the real scheduling case. Insted of minimizing the cost of power system, the objective is selected as to determine the highest possible voltage schedule. The constraints under consideration are the voltage limits at each node and the possibilities of supply or absobtion of reactive energy by generator units and the compensation facilities. Tests indicate that the method is practical for real time applications. The overall optimization methods developed in this paper proved to obtained fine results in minimizing object function compared with the method without using voltage control. And the overall voltage profiles were also improved.

PRACTICAL WAYS TO CALCULATE CAMERA LENS DISTORTION FOR REAL-TIME CAMERA CALIBRATION

  • In this paper, we address practical methods for calculating camera lens distortion for real time applications. Although the lens distortion problem can be easily ignored for constant-parameter lenses, in the field of real-time camera calibrations, for zoom lenses a large number of calculations are needed to calculate the distortion. However, if the distortion can be calculated independently of the other camera parameter, we can easily calibrate a camera without the need for a large number of calculations. Based on Tsai's camera model, we propose two different methods for calculating lens distortion. These methods are so simple and require so few calculations that the lens distortion can be rapidly calculated even in real-time applications. The first method is to refer to the focal length - lens distortion Look Up Table(LUT), which is constructed in the initialization process. The second method is to use the relationship between the feature points found in the image. Experiments were carried out for both methods, results of which show that the proposed methods are favorably comparable in performance with non-real full optimization method.

  • The application of the theoretical model to real assembly lines has been one of the biggest challenges for researchers and industrial engineers. There should be some realistic approach to achieve the conflicting objectives on real systems. Therefore, in this paper, a model is developed to synchronize a real system (A discrete event simulation model) with a theoretical model (An optimization model). This synchronization will enable the realistic optimization of systems. A job assignment model of the assembly line is formulated for the evaluation of proposed realistic optimization to achieve multiple conflicting objectives. The objectives, fluctuation in cycle time, throughput, labor cost, energy cost, teamwork and deviation in the skill level of operators have been modeled mathematically. To solve the formulated mathematical model, a multi-objective simulation integrated hybrid genetic algorithm (MO-SHGA) is proposed. In MO-SHGA each individual in each population acts as an input scenario of simulation. Also, it is very difficult to assign weights to the objective function in the traditional multi-objective GA because of pareto fronts. Therefore, we have proposed a probabilistic based linearization and multi-objective to single objective conversion method at population evolution phase. The performance of MO-SHGA is evaluated with the standard multi-objective genetic algorithm (MO-GA) with both deterministic and stochastic data settings. A case study of the goalkeeping gloves assembly line is also presented as a numerical example which is solved using MO-SHGA and MO-GA. The proposed research is useful for the development of synchronized human based assembly lines for real time monitoring, optimization, and control.

Chance-constrained Scheduling of Variable Generation and Energy Storage in a Multi-Timescale Framework

  • This paper presents a hybrid stochastic deterministic multi-timescale scheduling (SDMS) approach for generation scheduling of a power grid. SDMS considers flexible resource options including conventional generation flexibility in a chance-constrained day-ahead scheduling optimization (DASO). The prime objective of the DASO is the minimization of the daily production cost in power systems with high penetration scenarios of variable generation. Furthermore, energy storage is scheduled in an hourly-ahead deterministic real-time scheduling optimization (RTSO). DASO simulation results are used as the base starting-point values in the hour-ahead online rolling RTSO with a 15-minute time interval. RTSO considers energy storage as another source of grid flexibility, to balance out the deviation between predicted and actual net load demand values. Numerical simulations, on the IEEE RTS test system with high wind penetration levels, indicate the effectiveness of the proposed SDMS framework for managing the grid flexibility to meet the net load demand, in both day-ahead and real-time timescales. Results also highlight the adequacy of the framework to adjust the scheduling, in real-time, to cope with large prediction errors of wind forecasting.

25.8kV급 GIS에 Matrix System을 적용한 전력설비 최적화 연구 (A Study on Optimization of Electric Power Facilities Applied Matrix System at 25.8kV GIS)

  • Recently, more electric power facilities have been miniaturized and it is noted that the facilities maintenance will be essential through operation optimization. In this paper we applied and examined the operation optimization of electric power facilities by applying Matrix system which can improve reliability to minimize outage and recover failure rapidly when blackouts happen at 25.8kV Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS). The fundamental problem for facilities maintenance of GIS can happen due to indeterminable internal state in real time. Matrix optimization organizes action states in all containers which contain pressurized $SF_6$ Gas such as circuit breaker, disconnector switch, bus for utilizing them each area. Then, we connect it with power system to monitor and control internal state remotely in real time, and we can minimize blackout zone or outage. Considering above process, we improved stability of overall facilities.

  • 무인 항공기는 다양한 분야에서 널리 활용되고 있으며, 실시간 경로 재계획은 이들 기기의 안전성과 효율성을 향상하는 핵심 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 RRT*와 LOSPO를 기반으로 한 실시간 경로 재계획 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 먼저 RRT* 알고리즘을 활용하여 초기 경로를 생성하고, LOSPO를 이용하여 경로를 최적화한다. 또한 최적화된 경로를 궤적으로 변경하여 실제 시간과 항공기의 동적한계를 고려할 수 있다. 이 과정에서 환경 변화와 충돌 위험을 실시간으로 감지하고, 필요한 경우 경로를 재계획함으로써 안전한 운행을 유지한다. 이 방법은 시뮬레이션을 통한 실험을 통해 검증되었다. 본 논문의 결과는 무인 항공기의 실시간 경로 재계획에 관한 연구에 중요한 기여할 것으로 기대한다. 또한 이 기법을 다양한 상황에 적용함으로써 무인 항공기의 안전성과 효율성을 향상시킬 수 있다.

부동 소수점 DSP를 이용한 4kbps EHSX 음성 부호화기의 실시간 구현 (Real-Time Implementation of the EHSX Speech Coder Using a Floating Point DSP)

  • 본 논문에서는 선형예측 잔여신호에 대한 하모닉 벡터 여기 코딩과 시간 대역 분리 혼합 코딩을 결합한 4kbps EHSX (Enhanced Harmonic Stochastic Excitation) 음성부호화기 실시간 구현한 내용을 기술한다. 유성음 구간에서는 하모닉 여기 코딩에 무성음 구간에 대해서는 분석-합성 구조의 벡터 여기 코딩을 사용하였으며, 유/무성음이 혼재하는 전이구간에서는 시간 분리 전이 코딩을 사용하였다. 이 음성부호화기 구현을 위해 부동소수점과 고정소수점을 모두 지원하는 DSP인 TMS320C6701을 사용하였고, 연산량을 줄이기 위해 IFFT를 사용한 저 복잡도 정현파 합성법을 사용하여 알고리즘의 최적화를 이루었으며, 복잡도의 문제가 되는 부분을 고정소수점으로 변환한 후 파이프라인을 적용한 핸드 어셈블리 코딩을 하여 구현에서의 최적화를 이루었다. 또한, 메모리의 효율성을 극대화하기 위해 캐쉬 메모리 할당과 데이터를 내부 메모리에 할당하였고 수학 연산의 최적화를 위해 FastRTS67x 라이브러리를 사용하였다. 개발 환경은 DSP EVM 보드를 사용하였으며 음성 신호의 입·출력 확인으로 동작 및 기능을 검증하여 실시간 구현하였다.

Distortion Variation Minimization in low-bit-rate Video Communication

  • A real-time frame-layer rate control algorithm with a token bucket traffic shaper is proposed for distortion variation minimization. The proposed rate control method uses a non-iterative optimization method for low computational complexity, and performs bit allocation at the frame level to minimize the average distortion over an entire sequence as well as variations in distortion between frames. The proposed algorithm does not produce time delay from encoding, and is suitable for real-time low-complexity video encoder. Experimental results indicate that the proposed control method provides better visual and PSNR performances than the existing rate control method.

Routing optimization algorithm for logistics virtual monitoring based on VNF dynamic deployment

  • In the development of logistics system, the breakthrough of important technologies such as technology platform for logistics information management and control is the key content of the study. Based on Javascript and JQuery, the logistics system realizes real-time monitoring, collection of historical status data, statistical analysis and display, intelligent recommendation and other functions. In order to strengthen the cooperation of warehouse storage, enhance the utilization rate of resources, and achieve the purpose of real-time and visual supervision of transportation equipment and cargo tracking, this paper studies the VNF dynamic deployment and SFC routing problem in the network load change scenario based on the logistics system. The BIP model is used to model the VNF dynamic deployment and routing problem. The optimization objective is to minimize the total cost overhead generated by each SFCR. Furthermore, the application of the SFC mapping algorithm in the routing topology solving problem is proposed. Based on the concept of relative cost and the idea of topology transformation, the SFC-map algorithm can efficiently complete the dynamic deployment of VNF and the routing calculation of SFC by using multi-layer graph. In the simulation platform based on the logistics system, the proposed algorithm is compared with VNF-DRA algorithm and Provision Traffic algorithm in the network receiving rate, throughput, path end-to-end delay, deployment number, running time and utilization rate. According to the test results, it is verified that the test results of the optimization algorithm in this paper are obviously improved compared with the comparison method, and it has higher practical application and promotion value.

추적 시스템을 위한 최적 검출 문턱값 선택 (Optimal selection of detection threshold for tracking systems)

  • In this paper, we consider the optimal control of detection threshold to minimize the conditional mean-square state estimation error for the probabilistic data association (PDA) filter. Earlier works on this problem involved the cumbersome graphical optimization algorithm or time-consuming numerical optimization algorithm. Using the numerical approximation of information reduction factor, we obtained the closed-form optimal detection threshold. This results are very useful for real-time implemenation.
