The purpose of this study was to investigate the clustering and Big Five Personality domains in discriminating groups by level of school-related adjustment, as experienced by Social Sims game users. Social Games are based on web that has simple rules to play in fictional time and space background. This paper is to analyze the relationships between social networks and user behaviors through the social games . In general, characteristics of social games are simple, fun and easy to play, popular to the public, and based on personal connections in reality. These features of social games make themselves different from video games with one player or MMORPG with many unspecific players. Especially Social Game show a noticeable characteristic related to social learning. The object of this research is to provide a possibility that game that its social perspective can be strengthened in social game environment and analyze whether it actually influences on problem solving of real life problems, therefore suggesting its direction of alternative play means and positive simulation game. Data was collected by administering 4 questionnaires (the short version of BFI, Satisfaction with life, Career Decision-.Making Self-.Efficacy, Depression) to the participants who were 20 people in Seoul and Daejeon. For the purposes of the data analysis, both Stepwise Discriminant analysis and Cluster analysis was employed. Neuroticism, Openness, Conscientiousness within the Big Five Personality domains were seen to be significant variables when it came to discriminating the groups. These findings indicated that the short version of the BFI may be useful in understanding for game user behaviors When it comes to cultural research, digital game takes up a significant role. We can see that from the fact that game, which has only been considered as a leisure activity or commercial means, is being actively research for its methodological, social role and function. Among digital game's several meanings, one of the most noticeable ones is the research on its critical, social participating function. According to Jame Paul gee, the most important merit of game is 'projected identity'. This means that experiences from various perspectives is possible.[1] In his recent autobiography , he described gamer as an active problem solver. In addition, Gonzalo Francesca also suggested an alternative game developing method through 'game that conveys critical messages by strengthening critical reasons'. [2] They all provided evidences showing game can be a strong academic tool. Not only does a genre called social game exist in the field of media and Social Network Game, but there are also some efforts to positively evaluate its value Through these kinds of researches, we can study how game can give positive influence along with the change in its general perception, which would eventually lead to spreading healthy game culture and enabling fresh life experience. This would better bring out the educative side of the game and become a social communicative tool. The object of this game is to provide a possibility that the social aspect can be strengthened within the game environment and analyze whether it actually influences the problem solving of real life problems. Therefore suggesting it's direction of alternative play means positive game simulation.
Advances in 3D garment simulation technology contribute greatly to consumers becoming more immersed in movies and games by realistically expressing the garments the characters in the movie or game are wearing. The fashion industry has reached a point where it needs to maximize efficiency in production and distribution to go beyond time and space in order to compete on the global market. The processes of design and product development in the fashion industry require countless hours of work and consume vast resources in terms of materials and energy to repeat sample production and assessment. Therefore, the design and product development tools and techniques must aim to reduce the sample making process. Therefore, this study aims to study a case for comparing the real garment sample making process to the virtual garment sample making process. In this study, we have analysed the differences between the real and virtual garment making processes by choosing designated patterns. As we can see from the study results, the real and virtual garments generally are made through similar processes in manufacturing, while the time consumed for each shows great variation. In real garment making, scissoring and sewing require the greatest number of work hours, whereas in virtual garment making, most of the time was spent in the simulation process.

In real-time strategy simulation (RTS) game each team is composed of agents and executes strategies to win other team. Strategy needs agents' cooperation in each team. This needs multi-agent system (MAS). Centralized decision making, one of decision making in MAS, selects actions not to agents but to team by a coordinated agent. Decentralized decision making costs high because each agent communicates with each other. In this paper we propose a system which controls agents by grouping and allocates roles through negotiation by a coordinated agent. Then, when one of allocated actions is not executed or failed, a coordinated agent allocates its role to another agent. We make experiments in starcraft, famous RTS game. When a proposed method is applied, the performance of attack and defense is increased. The improved agents' team wins eight times per ten games.
In this paper, we propose the method of manipulating the gaze direction of 3D FPS game's character by using eye gaze detection from the successive images captured by USB camera, which is attached beneath HMB. The proposed method is composed of 3 parts. At first, we detect user's pupil center by real-time image processing algorithm from the successive input images. In the second part of calibration, when the user gaze on the monitor plane, the geometric relationship between the gazing position of monitor and the detected position of pupil center is determined. In the last part, the final gaze position on the HMD monitor is tracked and the 3D view in game is controlled by the gaze position based on the calibration information. Experimental results show that our method can be used for the handicapped game player who cannot use his(or her) hand. Also, it can Increase the interest and the immersion by synchronizing the gaze direction of game player and the view direction of game character.

Augmented reality game has differences with traditional games in the way what it includes physical risks happened in the real world. Although accidents related to Pokemon Go are increasing, academic discussions on the issues are rare. Thus, this study explores risk types caused by the augmented reality game and examined how perception of the risks affect usage intention on the game. This study also provides the research implications through comparative analysis between youth group who generally has the tendency toward game addiction and older group. According to the results, teenagers had less usage intention when perceived financial risk increase. In case of over twenty, time risk had negative relationship with usage intention. Physical risk had no significant effect on usage intention for teenagers, but positive relationship was observed in case over twenty. These results imply the necessity of an appropriate regulation for safe game play.
The purpose of this study is to classify the types of internet personal game broadcasting in China and to examine viewers' preferences type of it. By targeting top 100 creators of Player-Unknown's Battleground streaming as a personal game broadcaster with over 100,000 followers, the game types were classified based on the purpose and characteristic of game broadcasting such as game play, entertainment, and audience participation. As a result, the type of internet personal game broadcasting in China was classified into progamer type, cooperative playing type, storytelling type, and reciprocal entertainment type. The progamer type was 38% and it was the highest proportion of Player-Unknown's Battlegrounds streaming. Next came storytelling type, cooperative playing type and reciprocal entertainment type with 25%, 19% and 18% respectively. In sum, progamer type and storytelling type which shows relatively low real - time communication with audiences accounted for a high percentage of 63%. This implies that the characteristics of the broadcast media focused on 'showing' have influenced the production and planning of personal game broad casting. The interactive characteristics of the platform of personal game broad casting can be expected to gradually change the conventional customs of broadcasting media.

The Korean online gaming industry has seen rapid growth since the boom of information technology (IT) related industries, especially Internet and PC-bang or local area network (LAN) use, throughout the country. Online games are real-time games in which two or more players meet, compete, and cooperate in the same game space using the same communication network. Even though the growth rates of IT-related industries have recently slowed, the growth of the online gaming industry has increased, and Korean firms are expanding their businesses to countries all over the world. However, the online gaming industry is becoming an oligopoly, in which 4-5 leading companies occupy most online gaming markets. This situation presents a disadvantage to the Korean online gaming industry, since online players usually seek a diversity of online gaming contents and high quality online game services. Therefore, small- and medium-sized game developers must survive in this market by upgrading the quality of their online gaming services in an effort to provide differentiated goods and services in monopolistic competition markets. However, most venture companies in the online game industry, whether new or previously existing, are not able to obtain adequate financing. The objective of this paper is to examine the management environment for medium- and small-sized game developers in the Korean online gaming industry. By introducing the case of Grigon Entertainment, we try to identify the source of difficulty obtaining external financing for Korean venture firms in the online gaming industry.

Recently $Pok\acute{e}mon$ GO implements an online game with location-based real time augmented reality on mobile. The correct play of this game should be based on collecting the $Pok\acute{e}mon$ that appears as the user moves around by foot, but as the popularity increases, it appears an abuse to play easily. Many people have used an application that provides a mock location service such as Fake GPS, and these applications can be judged to be cheating in online games because they can play games in the house without moving. Detection of such cheating from a client point of view (mobile device) can consume a large amount of resources, which can reduce the speed of the game. It is difficult for developers to apply detection methods that negatively affect game usage and user's satisfaction. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to detect users abusing mock location service in online game by route analysis using GPS location record from the server point of view.

As today's "ninth art", role-playing games recognized by most players due to their surreal themes and sustained reflection on social diseases. Through precise control of story-telling and game visuals, players develop an avatar identification during role-playing game. Based on Lacan's mirror stage theory, a new self-identity mechanism is established under the guidance of role-playing games. As a "player", the subject's interpretation of himself is shifted by the game order, and the subject identifies with the role-playing game while at the same time being structured by the desire of role-playing game. The immersive experience and emotional guidance of role-playing games all point to the most instinctive human desires. The psychoanalytic theory from Lacan's perspective explains the source of players' desire, and the expression of players' desire in the game. It also plays an important role in the emotional rendering and identity aspects of role-playing games. This paper is to establish that role-playing games do have an impact on the player's self-identity through a Lacanian psychoanalytic reading of role-playing games.
