  • In general, maintaining an incorrect sitting posture for a long time is widely known to adversely affect the spine. Recently, several researchers have been interested in the causal relationship between incorrect sitting posture and spinal diseases, and have been studying methods to precisely measure changes in sitting or standing posture to prevent spinal diseases. In previous studies, we have developed a sensor device capable of measuring real-time posture change, applied a momentum calculation algorithm to improve the accuracy of real-time posture change measurement, and verified the accuracy of the postural change measurement sensor. In this study, we developed a posture measurement and analysis device that considers changes in the center of body pressure through the developed sitting pressure measurement, and it confirmed the sensor as an auxiliary tool to increase the accuracy of posture correction training with improving the user's visual feedback.

  • This study develops a Global Positioning System (GPS) Code Multipath Grid Map (CMGM) of each individual domestic reference station from the extracted code multipath of measurement data. Multipath corresponds to signal reflection/refraction caused by obstacles around the receiver antenna, and it is a major source of error that cannot be eliminated by differencing. From the receiver-independent exchange format (RINEX) data for two days, the associated code multipath of a satellite tracking arc is extracted. These code multipath data go through bias correction and interpolation to yield the CMGM with respect to the azimuth and elevation angles. The effect of the CMGM on multipath mitigation is then quantitatively analyzed to improve the Root Mean Square (RMS) of averaged pseudo multipath. Furthermore, the single point positioning (SPP) accuracy is analyzed in terms of the RMS of the horizontal and vertical errors. During two weeks in February 2023, the RMSs of the averaged pseudo multipath for five reference stations decreased by about 40% on average after CMGM application. Also, the SPP accuracies increased by about 7% for horizontal errors and about 10% for vertical errors on average after CMGM application. The overall quantitative analysis indicates that the proposed approach will reduce the convergence time of Differential Global Navigation Satellite System (DGNSS), Real-Time Kinematic (RTK), and Precise Point Positioning (PPP)-RTK correction information in real-time to use measurement data whose code multipath is corrected and mitigated by the CMGM.

  • In this paper, we suggest the implementation of a DGPS system using two low cost commercial C/A code GPS modules and modems and its efficient operational techniques to provide DGPS service which guarantees the position accuracy of better than 10 meters for more users. The proposed DGPS system can be implemented easil at low cost because it needs a GPS module and a modem for each reference station and user. The reference station makes plans of the receiving schedule from the satellite set at each period and then provides the correction data for various satellite sets in a period. The main contribution of this paper is that users can utilize the correction data continuously and efficiently through the recursive least squares lattice filtering method. Experimental results show the position accuracy of better than 10 meters using the suggested DGPS system in almost real time.

  • For each reference station and user, the proposed DGPS system is implemented by a GPS module and a modem. The reference station makes plans of the receiving schedule from the satellite sets at each period and then provides the correction data for various satellite sets in a period. Users can utilize the correction data continuously and efficiently through the recursive least squares lattice filters. Furthermore, after taking DGPS techniques, we can improve the positioning accuracy using a kalman filter by decreasing anti-common errors between a reference station and a user. Experimental results show the positioning accuracy of better than 5 meters in almost real time.

  • Due to advances in electronics very high quality audio reproduction is today possible. But the listening environment causes deviation of the audio system from the expected behavior. Firstly the listening Room significantly changes the audio signal frequencies and their phase. Secondly the position of the user in the room affects the perceived sound. With existing DSP technology it is possible to adequately correct these effects. In our work we developed a room correction system, correcting up to 7.1 channels using dual Motorola 56367 fixed point DSP's, implementing position dependent room effects measurement, real time compensation filter design and equalization filtering procedures.

  • In this study, a new knocking control algorithm was developed using the knock threshold value auto-correction algorithm. This algorithm uses the Fast Fourier Transform9FFT) method by measuring cylinder block vibration signals of a 1498 cc four-cylinder spark ignition engine. The experimental results show the proposed knock control algorithm provides improved performance compared to existing methods. The results also show that the proposed FFT algorithm provides real-time adjustment of the knock threshold value.

  • Owing to technical advances in very large-scale integrated circuits (VLSI), high-speed digital signal processing (DSP) chips become fast enough to allow for real-time implementation of hearing aid algorithms in units small enough to be wearable. In this paper, we present a digital hearing aid processor (DHAP) chip built around a general-purpose 16-bit DSP core. The designed DHAP performs a nonlinear loudness correction of 8 octave frequency bands based on audiometric measurements. By employing a programmable DSP, the DHAP provides all the flexibility needed to implement audiological algorithms. In addition, the has a low power feature and $5.410\times5.720mm^2$ dimensions that fit for wearable devices.

  • This paper proposes multiple burst error detection and correction scheme for transmission of Huffman coded string. We use bidirectionally decodable codes and introduce insertion of forbidden symbol to find errors. Additional bits are added to original bit streams to correct errors. The total file size id increased but it can detect errors and recover errors real time.

  • To improve the current waveform of diode rectifiers, we propose a new operating principle of the voltage diode rectifiers. In the conventional voltage rectifier circuit, relatively large capacitors are used to boost the output voltage, while the proposed circuit uses ones and a small reactor not boost the output voltage but improve the input current waveform. A circuit design method is shown and confirmed simulation. It explained that compared conventional PWM(Pulse-width modulated)inverter with HPWM(Half Pulse-width modulated)inverter. Proposed HPWM inverter eliminated dead-time by lowering switching loss and holding over-shooting. Output voltage and current of this paper were applied for real air-conditioner.

  • Common assumption we frequently encounter in early models of software reliability is that no new faults are introduced during the fault removal process. In real life, however, there are situations in which new faults are introducted as a result of imperfect debugging. This study alleviating this assumption by introducting the probability of perfect error-correction is an extension of Littlewood's work. In this model, the system reliability, failure rates, mean time to failure and average failure frequency are obtained. Here, when the probability of perfect error-correction is one, the results appear identical with those of the previous studies. In the respect that the results of previous studies are special cases of this model, the model developed can be considered as a generalized one.
