실시간 그래픽 디포메이션 알고리즘을 이용한 가상환경젱어 (The Virtual Environment Control using Real-time Graphic Deformation Algorithm)

  • In the established virtual-reality system, although it is possible to transact a faculty of sensation and graphic in a single PC, virtual object forcibly treated with rigid body for the reason of the huge amount of calculation, and the number of polygon is restricted. Furthermore, there is some difficulty in the financial aspect and a program field, because the existing virtual-reality system needs at least two workstations or super computers. In this study, the new force-reflecting algorithm called as "Proxy" and a finite element method of Hyperion are applied to this system in order to transact in real-time. Consequently, though the number of polygon, which brings about an obstacle is increased in the real-time graphic transaction, this system makes it possible to transact in the real-time, not being influenced by the size of the virtual object.

실시간 네트워크 시스템의 이용률 최적화를 위한 태스크 배치 전략 개발 (Development of Task Assignment Strategy for the Optimized Utilization of the Real-time Network System)

  • In this paper, the task assignment strategy considering communication delay and the priority of distributed tasks is proposed for the real-time network system in order to maximize the utilization of the system. For the task assignment strategy, the relationship among priority of tasks in network nodes, the calculation time of each task, and the end-to-end response time including the network delay is formulated firstly. Then, the task assignment strategy using the genetic algorithm is proposed to optimize the utilization of the system considering the LCM(Least Common Multiple) period. The effectiveness of proposed strategy is proven by the simulation for estimating the performance such as the utilization and the response time of the system in case of changing the number of tasks and the number of network nodes.

Software-based Real-time GNSS Signal Generation and Processing Using a Graphic Processing Unit (GPU)

  • A graphic processing unit (GPU) can perform the same calculation on multiple data (SIMD: single instruction multiple data) using hundreds of to thousands of special purpose processors for graphic processing. Thus, high efficiency is expected when GPU is used for the generation and correlation of satellite navigation signals, which perform generation and processing by applying the same calculation procedure to tens of millions of discrete signal samples per second. In this study, the structure of a GPU-based GNSS simulator for the generation and processing of satellite navigation signals was designed, developed, and verified. To verify the developed satellite navigation signal generator, generated signals were applied to the OEM-V3 receiver of Novatel Inc., and the measured values were examined. To verify the satellite navigation signal processor, the performance was examined by collecting and processing actual GNSS intermediate frequency signals. The results of the verification indicated that satellite navigation signals could be generated and processed in real time using two GPUs.

촉각시스템을 이용한 실시간 가상환경제어 (The Real-Time Virtual Environment Control Using Haptic Interface System)

  • In this paper, we propose the haptic system for the real-time virtual environment-control, which controls the sense of sight, hearing and touch. In order to maintain the stable haptic system in this study, we apply the proxy force rendering algorithm and the real-time graphic deformation algorithm based on the FEM. The applied proxy algorithm makes the system possible to be more stable and prompt with a virtual object. Moreover, the haptic rendering algorithm is applied to work out a problem that the tactual transaction-period is different from the graphic transaction- period. The graphic deformation algorithm is developed in the real-time using the deformed FEM. To apply the FEM, a deformed material-model is produced and then the graphic deformation with this model is able to force. Consequently, the graphic rendering algorithm is deduced by the real-time calculation and simplification because the purpose of this system is to transact in the real time. Applying this system to the PC, we prove that it is possible to deform the graphics and transact the haptic. Finally we suggest the variable simulation program to show the efficiency of this system.

Targetless displacement measurement of RSW based on monocular vision and feature matching

  • Real-time monitoring of the behavior of reinforced soil retaining wall (RSW) is required for safety checks. In this study, a targetless displacement measurement technology (TDMT) consisting of an image registration module and a displacement calculation module was proposed to monitor the behavior of RSW, in which facing displacement and settlement typically occur. Laboratory and field experiments were conducted to compare the measuring performance of natural target (NT) with the performance of artificial target (AT). Feature count- and location-based performance metrics and displacement calculation performance were analyzed to determine their correlations. The results of laboratory and field experiments showed that the feature location-based performance metric was more relevant to the displacement calculation performance than the feature count-based performance metric. The mean relative errors of the TDMT were less than 1.69 % and 5.50 % for the laboratory and field experiments, respectively. The proposed TDMT can accurately monitor the behavior of RSW for real-time safety checks.

  • In this study applied the general controller into th 16bit ordinary controller and recommand the simulator features the real system's propeties without DSP(Digital Signal Processing)-card. This simulator is designed to be synchronized in real time using A/D(Analog-Digital) convert and D/A(Digital-Analong) convert. In this study DSP card which is usually used for complex calculation is replaced with personal computer and designed to control, control-force using with the 16-bit micro processor.

분포형 모형과 클라우드 서비스를 이용한 낙동강 실시간 유출해석시스템 개발 및 성능평가 (Development and Performance Assessment of the Nakdong River Real-Time Runoff Analysis System Using Distributed Model and Cloud Service)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 물리적 분포형 강우-유출 모형인 GRM(Grid based Rainfall-runoff Model)과 마이크로소프트 Azure(Microsoft cloud computing service)를 이용하여 낙동강 유역의 유출해석시스템을 개발하고, Azure의 가상머신(VM, Virtual Machine) 설정에 따른 시스템 실행시간을 평가하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 낙동강 유역을 20개의 소유역으로 구분하고, 각 소유역에 대해서 GRM 모형을 구축하였다. 각 유역의 유출해석은 상하류 위상관계를 유지하면서 독립된 프로세스로 실행된다. 실시간 유출해석을 위해 국토교통부의 실시간 강우레이더 자료와 댐방류량 자료를 이용한다. 유출해석시스템은 Azure에서 실행되며, 유출해석 결과는 웹을 통해서 가시화 된다. 연구결과 실시간 수문자료 수신서버와 유출해석 계산서버(Azure) 및 사용자 PC가 연계된 낙동강 실시간 유출해석시스템을 개발할 수 있었다. 유출해석을 위한 전산장비는 하드디스크와 메모리 보다는 CPU의 성능에 크게 의존하는 것으로 평가되었다. 유출해석시의 디스크 입출력(I/O)과 계산 프로세스를 분산함으로써 입출력과 계산 병목을 각각 감소시킬 수 있었고, 실행시간을 단축시킬 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 고해상도의 공간 및 수문 자료를 활용하는 분포형 모형을 이용한 대유역 유출해석시스템을 구축하기 위한 기술로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

W/H형 원전 시뮬레이터용 핵 증기공급 계통 열수력모델 ARTS(Advanced Real-time Thermal Hydraulic Simulation)의 보조계산체계 개발 (Development of Backup Calculation System for a Nuclear Steam Supply System Thermal-Hydraulic Model ARTS (Advanced Real-time Thermal Hydraulic Simulation) of the W/H Type NPP)

  • 국내에 설치 운영중인 원전 훈련용 시뮬레이터의 핵 증기공급 계통 열수력 프로그램은 1980련 전후에 외국 벤더들이 개발하여 공급한 것으로 이들 열수력 프로그램은 핵 증기공급 계통 열수력 현상을 실시간으로 모의하기 위해 과도하게 단순화된 모델을 채택하고 있다. 그 결과 원자로 냉각계통에 복잡한 이상유동이 발생하는 사고를 모의하는 경우 정확도가 떨어질 수 있어 부정적인 훈련(Negative training)을 초래할 가능성이 있다. 이와같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 전력연구원에서는 RETRAN-3D코드를 기본으로 시뮬레이터용 핵 증기공급 계통 열수력 프로그램 ARTS코드를 개발하였다. RETRAN-3D코드를 기본으로 하는 ARTS코드는 거의 대부분의 사고를 실시간으로 모의할 수 있으며 계산의 건전성도 보장된다. 그러나, 대형냉각재 상실사고나 저압 저유속 상태의 장기 과도현상 등을 모의하는 경우에 발생하는 계산실패나 실시간 계산 지체등의 가능성이 있다. 이 경우 이를 자동으로 대체 보완할 수 있는 보조계산체계를 개발했다. 특히, ARTS코드의 실시간 계산 및 건전성 문제가 예상되는 대형냉각재 상실사고를 주모의 대상으로 간주했다. 계산 결과는 코드의 정확도, 실시간 계산능력, 건전성 및 운전원 교육등에서 최종안정성평가보고서 및 ANSI/ANS-3.5-1998$^{[1]}$ 시뮬레이터 소프트웨어 기준을 만족하는 것으로 평가되었다

MCV의 기능밸브를 고려한 굴삭기의 실시간 시뮬레이션 (Real-Time Simulation of an Excavator Considering the Functional Valves of the MCV)

  • In this paper, a real-time simulation model of an excavator using Amesim was proposed, considered the operation of functional valves with the main control valve (MCV). The hydraulic system models including the pump and MCV have been developed. The kinematic and dynamic models of the manipulator have also been developed, to confirm the behavior of the excavator. The MCV model includes various functional valves such as the regenerative valves, holding valves, swing and boom priority valves, and regen-cut valves so that simulations similar to real excavators can be performed. Additionally, to obtain the real-time calculation performance, the parts with no major influence on the dynamic behavior were simplified, high frequency factors were removed, and parameters were optimized. The models were compared with each other through the numerical analysis with variable time-step and fixed time-step, and the results were verified by comparison with the results of the actual vehicle tests.
