시멘틱 컴퓨팅 기반의 동적 작업 스케줄링 모델 및 시뮬레이션 (Semantic Computing-based Dynamic Job Scheduling Model and Simulation)

  • 이기종의 자원들로 이루어진 컴퓨팅 환경에서 효율적인 자원 활용과 대용량의 데이터를 고속으로 처리하기 위해서는 실시간으로 변화하는 자원의 상태에 따라 대처 할 수 있는 동적인 작업 스케줄링 모델이 필요하다. 현재 이기종의 자원들에게 작업을 어떻게 분배 및 할당 할 것인지에 대하여 많은 자원 평가 방법 및 휴리스틱 기법들이 연구되었으나 이러한 방법들은 표준언어를 사용하지 않기 때문에 시스템 호환 및 확장에 어려움이 많다. 또한 다양한 자원들의 상태가 실시간으로 동적으로 변화하기 때문에 기존 연구에서 제안한 방법으로는 효율적인 처리가 불가능하거나 자원의 상태 변화에 동적으로 대처할 수 없다. 본 논문은 이러한 기존 연구들의 문제에 대한 해결책으로 W3C에서 제정한 온톨로지 표준 언어인 OWL을 이용하여 자원 온톨로지를 구축함으로써 이기종의 자원 관리를 손쉽게 할 수 있으며, 자원의 동적인 변화에 따라 작업 스케줄링하는 방법을 지식기반의 다양한 규칙들로 정의하여 추론을 통해서 최적의 자원에게 작업을 할당하는 시멘틱 컴퓨팅 기반의 동적 작업 스케줄링 모델을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 실험 결과는 본 논문에서 제안한 작업 스케줄링 모델이 기존 모델에 비하여 낮은 작업 손실과 높은 작업 처리율 및 짧은 응답시간을 제공함으로써 이기종의 자원들로 구성된 시스템 전반에 걸쳐 안정적이고 고속의 데이터 처리를 제공할 수 있다는 사실을 증명한다.

상황인식 기반 지능형 최적 경로계획 (Intelligent Optimal Route Planning Based on Context Awareness)

  • Recently, intelligent traffic information systems have enabled people to forecast traffic conditions before hitting the road. These convenient systems operate on the basis of data reflecting current road and traffic conditions as well as distance-based data between locations. Thanks to the rapid development of ubiquitous computing, tremendous context data have become readily available making vehicle route planning easier than ever. Previous research in relation to optimization of vehicle route planning merely focused on finding the optimal distance between locations. Contexts reflecting the road and traffic conditions were then not seriously treated as a way to resolve the optimal routing problems based on distance-based route planning, because this kind of information does not have much significant impact on traffic routing until a a complex traffic situation arises. Further, it was also not easy to take into full account the traffic contexts for resolving optimal routing problems because predicting the dynamic traffic situations was regarded a daunting task. However, with rapid increase in traffic complexity the importance of developing contexts reflecting data related to moving costs has emerged. Hence, this research proposes a framework designed to resolve an optimal route planning problem by taking full account of additional moving cost such as road traffic cost and weather cost, among others. Recent technological development particularly in the ubiquitous computing environment has facilitated the collection of such data. This framework is based on the contexts of time, traffic, and environment, which addresses the following issues. First, we clarify and classify the diverse contexts that affect a vehicle's velocity and estimates the optimization of moving cost based on dynamic programming that accounts for the context cost according to the variance of contexts. Second, the velocity reduction rate is applied to find the optimal route (shortest path) using the context data on the current traffic condition. The velocity reduction rate infers to the degree of possible velocity including moving vehicles' considerable road and traffic contexts, indicating the statistical or experimental data. Knowledge generated in this papercan be referenced by several organizations which deal with road and traffic data. Third, in experimentation, we evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed context-based optimal route (shortest path) between locations by comparing it to the previously used distance-based shortest path. A vehicles' optimal route might change due to its diverse velocity caused by unexpected but potential dynamic situations depending on the road condition. This study includes such context variables as 'road congestion', 'work', 'accident', and 'weather' which can alter the traffic condition. The contexts can affect moving vehicle's velocity on the road. Since these context variables except for 'weather' are related to road conditions, relevant data were provided by the Korea Expressway Corporation. The 'weather'-related data were attained from the Korea Meteorological Administration. The aware contexts are classified contexts causing reduction of vehicles' velocity which determines the velocity reduction rate. To find the optimal route (shortest path), we introduced the velocity reduction rate in the context for calculating a vehicle's velocity reflecting composite contexts when one event synchronizes with another. We then proposed a context-based optimal route (shortest path) algorithm based on the dynamic programming. The algorithm is composed of three steps. In the first initialization step, departure and destination locations are given, and the path step is initialized as 0. In the second step, moving costs including composite contexts into account between locations on path are estimated using the velocity reduction rate by context as increasing path steps. In the third step, the optimal route (shortest path) is retrieved through back-tracking. In the provided research model, we designed a framework to account for context awareness, moving cost estimation (taking both composite and single contexts into account), and optimal route (shortest path) algorithm (based on dynamic programming). Through illustrative experimentation using the Wilcoxon signed rank test, we proved that context-based route planning is much more effective than distance-based route planning., In addition, we found that the optimal solution (shortest paths) through the distance-based route planning might not be optimized in real situation because road condition is very dynamic and unpredictable while affecting most vehicles' moving costs. For further study, while more information is needed for a more accurate estimation of moving vehicles' costs, this study still stands viable in the applications to reduce moving costs by effective route planning. For instance, it could be applied to deliverers' decision making to enhance their decision satisfaction when they meet unpredictable dynamic situations in moving vehicles on the road. Overall, we conclude that taking into account the contexts as a part of costs is a meaningful and sensible approach to in resolving the optimal route problem.

전력증폭기 부정합 조건에서의 출력 전력 불확도 산출에 관한 연구 (Study for the Uncertainty Estimation of Output Power under the Mismatch Condition of Power Amplifiers)

  • 본 논문은 전력 증폭기의 출력 전력 측정에 있어 드레인에서의 부정합 정도를 고려한 정교한 측정 불확도 산출 방안을 제시하였다. 기존의 측정 불확도 산출 방법은 최적 성능을 위해 의도적인 부정합을 포함하는 전력증폭기의 정합상황을 정확히 반영하는데 한계를 가지고 있다. 이를 보완하기 위하여, 전력증폭기 드레인의 부정합 정도를 포함하는 복합 반사계수와 S-파라미터 측정 불확도를 활용한 종합적인 전력 측정 불확도를 제안하였으며, 3.7 GHz에서 동작하는 10 watt급 전력증폭기의 출력 전력을 측정한 실제 결과와 비교해 보았다. 결과적으로 제안한 합성 측정 불확도는 기존 불확도에 대비하여 10배 정도의 정교한 출력 전력의 불확도를 얻을 수 있었다.

표면 파라미터 추정값 평가를 위한 조정계산모델별 전통계량 적용도 비교분석 (A Comparative Study on the Applicability of A Priori Estimates of Adjustment Models for Assessment of Surface Parameter Estimates)

  • 본 연구는 표고자료의 임의지점에서 표면의 형상에 대한 파라미터들을 추정하는 경우, 추정에 적용된 조정계산모델들의 전통계량이 추정결과를 채택 혹은 기각하는데 적용될 수 있는 정도를 비교분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 표면 파라미터 추정시 그 추정결과값을 신뢰할 수 있는지에 대한 여부는 일반적으로 표면의 조건, 그리고 적용된 조정계산모델의 유형에 따라 영향을 받을 것으로 예상되지만 이에 대한 체계적이고 구체적인 연구는 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 원시자료가 실제 관측으로부터 취득된 자료인 경우, 그 참값을 알 수 없기 때문에, 조정계산모델들의 적용적합성을 명확히 파악하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 원시자료를 모의적으로 생성하여 연구를 수행하였다. 모의자료생성은 각 기준면위에 수평면, 경사면, 그리고 곡면을 포함시키고 일정량의 노이즈를 추가함으로써 연구를 수행하였다. 비교 분석은 모의자료의 임의지점에서 추정된 결과값들을 각 조정계산모델별 전통계량과 연계분석함으로써 수행되었다. 실험결과로부터 조정계산모델들의 다양한 표면조건에 따른 추정특성을 파악할 수 있었다.

신경망을 이용한 로버스트 주성분 분석에 관한 연구 (On Robust Principal Component using Analysis Neural Networks)

  • 주성분 분석은 자료압축, 특징추출, 통신이론, 패턴인식 그리고 화상처리등의 컴퓨터 공학분야에서 중요하게 사용되고 있다. Oja(1982,1989,1992)는 확률적 경사 강하법(SGA:Stochastic Gradient Ascent)을 이용한 제한된 헵규칙을 제안하여 주성분 분석에 사용하였다. 그러나, 이 규칙은 이상치에 민감하므로 이상치의 영향을 줄이기 위해, Xu & Yuille(1995)는 통계물리 방법을 이용한 로버스트 에너지함수를 생성하여 로버스트 주성분 분석방법을 제안하였다. 또한 Devlin et.al(1981)은 M-추정량을 이용하여 주성분 분석을 하였다. 본 논문에서는 Oja(1992)의 규칙과 Xu & Yuille(1995)의 로버스트 에너지함수를 이용하여 신경망을 구성하였다. 그리고, Devlin et.al(1981)이 제안한 시뮬레이션조건하에서 실험을 하였다. 실험한 결과와 Devlin et.al(1981)의 결과를 비교, 분석함으로써, 신경망의 성능을 확인하고자 한다.

Comparative Estimation of Exposure Level and Health Risk Assessment of Highly Produced Pesticides to Agriculture Operators by Using Default Dermal Absorption Rate or Actual Measurement Values

  • Pesticides are widely used to prevent loss of agricultural production but extensive exposure can induce health problems to pesticide operators. This study was performed to evaluate the health risk of highly produced pesticides used in fruit growing farm land by comparison of estimated exposure level with AOEL using KO-POEM program. AOEL was driven based on NOAEL of each pesticide evaluated by JMPR, EFSA or KRDA. In calculation of exposure level, types of formulation, dilution factors, spraying duration and motor type and exposure protection device were allocated according to actual condition of use. Dermal absorption rate was differently applied among EFSA default values (25% or 75%), general default value (10%) or real test result values to know the plausibility of default values and safety of pesticide to operators in outline. Twenty pesticide ingredients (fungicides and insecticides) were produced more than 30 tons per year, which were mancozeb, chlorothalonil, imidaclopirid and etc in order. Dermal absorption rates obtained from studies were various from 0.07 to 81% but mostly under 10%. The estimated exposure levels showed big differences more than 10 times higher when using EFSA default rate and up to 5 times higher when using general rate of 10% comparing using rates of test results. Mancozeb, chlorthalonil, diazinon and chlorpyrifos presented still higher exposure level than AOEL even when using test absorption rate from study, which suggests that re-evaluation of AOEL or dermal exposure absorption rate or strict management are required for health protection of operators who use those four pesticides in farm land.

복수 연결된 부유체-균형추식 파력발전장치의 전력량에 관한 연구 (A study for electric power of float-counterweight wave energy converter)

  • 화석 연료의 고갈로 인해 신재생 에너지에 관한 관심이 날로 증가하고 있다. 그 중에서도 예측가능성이 높고 이용 가능한 양이 풍부한 파력에너지에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 부유체-균형추식 파력발전장치는 진동 타입과 비교해 구조 강도가 증진된 장치이며, 부유체의 포면에 웨이브 캠버라 불리우는 격벽을 설치하여 파도가 오직 상하운동만을 하도록 만들었다. 본 논문은 주로 병렬 연결된 파력 발전장치의 발전량에 중점을 두고, 그 발전량을 계산하였다. 그 결과, nl/L의 값이 증가할수록, 더 많은 전력량이 발생하고, nl/L=0.40 이상이 되었을 때, 상시 연속적인 발전량이 얻어진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구를 통해서, 실제 해역 조건에 유리한 유수실을 설계하는데 기본 자료로 활용할 수 있다.

Structural damage detection through longitudinal wave propagation using spectral finite element method

  • This paper investigates the damage identification of the concrete pile element through axial wave propagation technique using computational and experimental studies. Now-a-days, concrete pile foundations are often common in all engineering structures and their safety is significant for preventing the failure. Damage detection and estimation in a sub-structure is challenging as the visual picture of the sub-structure and its condition is not well known and the state of the structure or foundation can be inferred only through its static and dynamic response. The concept of wave propagation involves dynamic impedance and whenever a wave encounters a changing impedance (due to loss of stiffness), a reflecting wave is generated with the total strain energy forked as reflected as well as refracted portions. Among many frequency domain methods, the Spectral Finite Element method (SFEM) has been found suitable for analysis of wave propagation in real engineering structures as the formulation is based on dynamic equilibrium under harmonic steady state excitation. The feasibility of the axial wave propagation technique is studied through numerical simulations using Elementary rod theory and higher order Love rod theory under SFEM and ABAQUS dynamic explicit analysis with experimental validation exercise. Towards simulating the damage scenario in a pile element, dis-continuity (impedance mismatch) is induced by varying its cross-sectional area along its length. Both experimental and computational investigations are performed under pulse-echo and pitch-catch configuration methods. Analytical and experimental results are in good agreement.

겨울철 황사 모의시 황사배출량 산정식과 입력자료의 평가: 2007년 12월 29일 황사사례 연구 (Estimation of Dust Emission Schemes and Input Parameters in Wintertime Asian Dust Simulation: A Case Study of Winter Dust Event on December 29, 2007)

  • A case study was conducted for a severe wintertime dust event that occurred on December 29, 2007 in Korea. Three different dust emission schemes, namely, those of Marticorena and Bergametti (1995), Lu and Shao (1999), and Shao (2004) (hereinafter, referred to MB, LS, and S04 schemes, respectively) were implemented in Weather Research Forecast with Chemistry (WRF/Chem) to assess their performance in simulating wintertime Asian dust events. WRF/Chem simulation reproduces dust emission over Mongolia on December 27 and 28, 2007 and the onset timing of the dust event in Korea well. There is, however, a huge difference among the estimated dust emission amounts for the three schemes; the dust concentration derived by MB scheme is 6 times larger than that from LS scheme. The three schemes overestimate dust concentrations when comparing to observed surface-level $PM_{10}$ mass concentrations in Ganghwa, Seoul, and Yeongwol. This discrepancy is thought to be mainly due to the overestimated model winds and the surface condition such as snow cover fraction, which did not adequately represent the real conditions. Considering frozen soil effect on dust emission, the model results are comparable with observation data: it is important to consider frozen soil in simulating wintertime dust events.

수량화II류이론을 활용한 상수도관로의 안전성 평가 모델 개발 및 적용성 평가 연구 (A Study on the Development and Applicative Estimation of Safety Evaluation Model for Water Supply Pipelines using Quantification Theory Type II)

  • Owing to time and cost constraints, new methods that would make it possible to evaluate the safety of the water supply pipeline in a less time- and cost-consuming manner are urgently needed. In response to this exigency, the present study developed a new statistical model to assess the safety of the water supply pipeline using the quantification theory type II. In this research, the safety of the water supply pipeline was defined as 'a possibility of the pipeline failure'. Quantification analysis was conducted on the qualitative data, such as pipe material, coating, and buried condition. The results of analyses demonstrate that the hit ratio of the quantification function amounted to 77.8% of hit ratio, which was a fair value. In addition, all variables that were included in the quantification function were logically valid and demonstrated statistically significant. According to the results derived from the application of the safety evaluation model, the coefficient of determination ($R^2$) between K-region's water supply pipeline safety and the safety inspection amounted to 0.80. Therefore, these findings provide meaningful insight for the measured values in real applications of the model. The results of the present study can also be meaningfully used in further research on safety evaluation of pipelines, establishing of renewal prioritization, as well as asset management planning of the water supply infrastructure.
