무선 통신을 활용한 경로 단위 네트워크 데이터 업데이트 기법 제안 및 시뮬레이션 (The Proposal and Simulation of Path Unit's Network Data Update Method Using Wireless Network)

  • 차량용 네비게이션 시스템은 자가 운전 차량의 증가, 여가 문화 확산 등으로 수요가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있으며, 실시간 교통 정보, 디지털 멀티미디어 방송 등의 기능이 융합되면서 텔레매틱스의 가장 중요한 분야로 급성장하고 있다. 이러한 네비게이션 시스템의 다양한 구성 요소 중 네트워크 데이터는 실세계의 도로망을 반영하며, 경로탐색의 기반이 되는 데이터로 가장 핵심 요소라 할 수 있다. 하지만, 현재의 네비게이션 시스템은 stand-alone 형태로 단말기 내의 네트워크 데이터는 자체가 과거의 데이터로 이를 보완하기 위하여 사용자는 주기적으로 업데이트를 수행해야 하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 무선 통신을 활용하여 사용자가 요구하는 경로를 검증하여 항상 최신의 네트워크 데이터를 활용할 수 있는 기법을 제안하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안 기법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • An experimental research is a useful approach for realizing autonomous mobile robots to work in real environment. We are developing an autonomous mobile robot platform named "Yamabico" as a tool for experimental real world robotics research. The architecture of Yamabico is based on the concept of centralized decision making and functionally modularization. Yamabico robot has two level structure with behavior and function levels, and its hardware and software are functionally distributed for providing incremental development and good maintenancibility. We are using many Yamabico robots in our laboratory to realize the robust navigation technology for autonomous robots. The methodology for experimental and task-oriented approach of mobile robotics will be presented. And some experimental results of real world navigation in indoor and outdoor environment will be shown. be shown.

  • Knowledge discovery in databases(KDD) is the process for extracting valid, novel, potentially useful and understandable knowledge form real data. There are many academic and industrial activities with new technologies and application areas. Particularly, data mining is the core step in the KDD process, consisting of many algorithms to perform clustering, pattern recognition and rule induction functions. The main goal of these algorithms is prediction and description. Prediction means the assessment of unknown variables. Description is concerned with providing understandable results in a compatible format to human users. We introduce an efficient data mining algorithm considering predictive and descriptive capability. Reasonable pattern is derived from real world data by a revised neural network model and a proposed fuzzy rule extraction technique is applied to obtain understandable knowledge. The proposed neural network model is a hierarchical self-organizing system. The rule base is compatible to decision makers perception because the generated fuzzy rule set reflects the human information process. Results from real world application are analyzed to evaluate the system\`s performance.

  • In this experiment we emphasized the cooperative small group learning and the members of my group worked together to succeed and communicate their mathematics ideas freely. The researcher(teacher) became an observer and facilitator of small group interaction, paying attention to the ongoing learning process, Sometimes the researcher suggested some investigation approach(or discovery)being written by computer software or papers. In this experiment we provided 6 activities as follows : (1) changing the conditions in given problem. (2) operating the meaningful heuristics with the problem sets. (3) creating the problem situations related to understanding (4) creating the Modeling situations. (5) creating the problem related to combinatorial thinking in real world. (6) posing some real problem from real world. we could observed several conjectures First, Attitude and chility to interpret the problem setting is highly important to pose the problem effectively. Second, Generating the understanding can be a great tool to pose the problem effectively. Third, Sometimes inquiry approach represented by software or programmed book could be some motivation to enhance the posing activities. Forth, The various posing activities relate to one concept could give the students some opportunity to be adaptable and flexible in the their approach to unfamiliar problem sets.

Application of Block On-Line Blind Source Separation to Acoustic Echo Cancellation

  • Blind speech separation (BSS) is well-known as a powerful technique for speech enhancement in many real world environments. In this paper, we propose a new application of BSS - acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) in a car environment. For this purpose, we develop a block-online BSS algorithm which provides robust separation than a batch version in changing environments with moving speakers. Simulation results using real world recordings show that the block-online BSS algorithm is very robust to speaker movement. When combined with AEC, simulation results using real audio recording in a car confirm the expectation that BSS improves double talk detection and echo suppression.

  • This growth if WWW(World Wide Web) with the spread of ADSL provides us with a variety of service that are the extensions of opportunities to get information. a various education methods by remote courses and electronic commerce. Remote Monitoring Server(RMS) that uses internet and WWW is constructed for chip mounter. Hardware base consists of RMS, chip mounter and C/S server. In this paper, we realize the remote management system with monitoring and diagnosis function to efficiently operate chip mounter the one of PCB assembly equipment. The remote management system for chip mounter consists of RMS(Remote Monitoring Server) and C/S server. RMS manages real-time information from chip mounter through TCP/IP. RMS that utilizes real-time information informs user of the actual output the operation status of chip mounter, user of the actual output, the operation status of chip mounter, the trouble code and the trouble description.

  • The Constructive Battle Simulation Model is very important to the recent military training for the substitution of the field training. However, real battlefield systems operate under real-time conditions, they are inherently distributed, concurrent and dynamic. In order to reflect these properties by the computer-based simulation systems which represent real world processes, we have been developing constructive simulation model for several years. Conventionally, scheduling and resource allocation activities which have timing constraints, we elaborated on these issues and developed the simulation system on commercially available hardware and operating system with lock-free resource allocation scheme and rate monotonic scheduling.

  • 컴퓨터 그래픽스 기술의 발달과 정보통신 기술의 발달로 증강현실 기술의 많은 발전이 이루어졌다. 하지만 가상의 공간과 실제의 공간이 매칭이 된 이미지를 보면 아직 현실감은 다소 떨어진다. 본 연구에서는 문제의 원인을 가상의 오브젝트가 실제 공간에서의 깊이 감을 고려하지 않고 형성되어 공간감을 파괴시키는 문제와 마커에 의존한 인식 기술의 한계성 두 가지로 설정하고 해결하였다. 공간감은 사람의 신체와 가상의 오브젝트 사이의 위계질서를 형성함으로써, 마커 기술의 한계성은 시간 지연과 카메라 움직임에 따라 마커의 위치를 역으로 추적하는 방식으로 문제를 해결하였다.
