고등학교 통합과학논술교육의 실태 및 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Realities and Recognition of Integrated Science Essay in High School)

  • The purpose of this study investigates high school students' recognition and realities on the integrated science essay and is to suggest desirable direction of integrated science essay of how eduction. To this end, this paper was a questionnaire developed for use, it consists of the status, the writing skills and recognition of integrated science essay. Firstly, all grade students recognize the interest in integrated science essay class, but the need for third grade boys urgently was feeling. Second, STEAM class as a whole than average preference was. Third, integrated science essay was the most relevant, then was mathematics, languages, philosophy ethics, and social. Fourth, integrated science essay class with boys than girls in grade 1, science essay writing, reading science-related essay books, grammar, knowledge of the science and philosophy of science lessons, classes STEAM, read commentary essay reference all on the item, the higher affinity. Currently being implemented in integrated science essay test compared to the first, team teaching approach in schools project under one class teaches students how many teachers should be made. Second, it would require modifications of course content tailored to the preferences of female preference for science higher grade female students to disappear.

VDT화면에서 텍스트의 행간구분방법과 색상이 가독성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Background, Underline, and Color on Readability of Visually Displayed Text)

  • In this study, we examined the effects of background and underline on the readability of displayed text. The background was placed on every other line and the underline was done with every line of the text. The effect of adding color to the background and underline was also of primary concern. Twenty subjects were tested on their reading efficiency (i.e. time-to-read and comprehension) and subjective preference of different text format presented on a LCD. Result showed that for the background condition, the background with green format significantly decreased the time-to-read as compared to the format without any background. The results of ANOVA on comprehension and subjective preference were also consistent with this finding. For the underline condition, otherwise, the underline with yellow format yielded higher speed and better comprehension. The results imply that adding background or underlines with appropriate colors can be an additional and useful way of improving text readability.

  • 본 연구는 문헌연구를 바탕으로 표지디자인의 개념 및 기능, 구성요소를 고찰하고 1999년부터 2002년까지 문학부문 베스트셀러 표지디자인의 사례분석을 통해 표지디자인의 특징을 도출하였다. 독자의 연령과 성별에 따라 표지디자인에 대한 독자의 선호도를 설문조사와 이미지 평가를 통해 책표지 디자인의 조건 및 방법을 제안하고자 하였다. 표지디자인의 선호도 조사에서 연령, 성별에 따라 관심있게 읽는 책의 종류와 책을 구매하는 장소, 표지디자인에 대한 관심도에 차이가 있었다. 또한 여자는 스타일서체를 선호하며, 남녀 모두 한색을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 그 외의 시각적 요소에대한 선호도 차이가 없는 것은 표지디자인이 여러 요소들로 이루어진 통합적인 이미지이기 때문이다. 그리하여 SD법을 통해 통합적인 이미지로써 표지디자인에 대한 평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과 지나친 추상적 이미지는 명료성이 떨어져 의미전달이 어려운 것으로 나타났다. 또한 스타일 서체가 주를 이룬 표지디자인이 독특성, 명확성에서 높은 평가를 받았다. 비주얼이 뛰어나다고 해도 기능적인 면인 의미전달에서 뛰어난 것과는 차이가 있었다. 이 논문은 시각적 요소만을 한정하여 살펴보았다. 향후 표지디자인을 구성하고 있는 요소들인 재료, 재본, 형태 등에 따라 독자의 선호에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

대학생의 색채 선호와 색채 의미 (Color Preference and Color Meaning of University Students)

  • The purpose of this study were to see what is the color preference for college students and the meaning of color, based on color psychology. The subjects are the male and female university students in Busan and the survey is conducted in March 2009, September 2009. Analysis is based on eight kinds of colors such as red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple which are used in the psychological analysis of Howard & Dorothy Sun Corporate CRR (Colour reflection reading), and words representing the meaning of colors. A total of 259 questionnaires were used to analyze data and analysis was conducted by using SPSS 14.0 statistical package. First, by examining the best three colors among eight colors, the red which represents sociable and passionate leadership and a lot of energy was the first. Second, in terms of positive and negative sense, the green is stable, protected, red is passionate, strong', yellow is bright, happy and green is' clean, young. The Blues has peaceful, tranquil image', the orange is lively animation, cheerful, and the purple shows a positive meaning of beautiful, precious, often mature, loving. Third, the preferences of boys and girls to compare colors in the first preferred color, there were significant differences between boys and girls. Most boys prefer blue, while the girls like red the most. Both boys and girls look at the meaning of green color with the most positive sense and especially male students have the negative connotation about the green color than female students.

Association between the Number of Unfamiliar Vegetables and Dietary Factors of Elementary School Children

  • Despite well established health benefits, today's children do not eat enough vegetables. The purpose of this study was to determine the association between the number of unfamiliar foods in the vegetable food group and the preference for these foods and dietary factors. Subjects were 1,072 children in 5th and 6th grades from elementary schools located in 4 cities in Gyeonggi-do, Korea. A two-page questionnaire consisted of questions asking about the subjects' preference and familiarity for 64 foods in the vegetable group, preferences for three fast foods, four types of vegetable dishes, and six tastes. Also included in the questionnaire were questions assessing subjects' adherence to national dietary guidelines. The subjects were divided into quintiles according to the number of unfamiliar vegetables; the 1st quintile (N=226) was children who had less than 14 unfamiliar vegetables and the 5th quintile (N=229) was more than 29. Compared to the children in the other quintiles, the children in the 5th quintile had a significantly lower adherence to national dietary guidelines regarding consumptions of vegetable and protein sources, regular exercise, awareness of desirable height and weight, and reading food labels, as well as total (P<0.05). The preferences for bland tastes (P<0.05), salads (saengchae, P<0.01), stir-fried vegetables (P<0.01), and several vegetable items (P<0.05) were significantly lower in the 5th quintile compared to the other quintiles. This study proposes the potential benefits of teaching children names of a variety of vegetables to improve their dietary factors such as food preferences and dietary habits.

Magnitude Estimation기법을 이용한 설계대안의 평가 (Evaluating design alternatives based on magnitude estimation)

  • A psychophysical measurement technique called "magnitude estimation" was used to evaluate several interior design alternatives for a high speed train. Pas- senger activity, seat direction, and passenger age were manipulated by using a three factor within-subjects experimental design. During the experiment, two dependent measures, a line length and a numerical estimate for each alternative design were collected to validate the experimental procedures. The results showed that pasnger seats arranged in the same direction as the running direction of the train was favored nine times more than the opposite. Also, the subjects preferred listening to music in a coach train to the other activities such as reading newspaper, watching a movie, and resting. This paper demonstrates that a psychophysical technique can be sued in the design of a development process, especially when it is difficult to quantify design variables such as subjective opinion or preference, etc.

중국 수학 교과서의 수학사 활용 분석 (Analysis on Using the History of Mathematics in Chinese Mathematics Textbooks)

  • This study aims to analyze how the history of mathematics is used in Chinese mathematics textbooks. As a framework for analysis, we categorized nine types of using the history of mathematics in textbooks. We analyzed 18 mathematics textbooks for Chinese elementary and middle schools. As a result, we found that various types of using the history of mathematics were adopted in Chinese textbooks except for explorations of mathematical errors in history. We also noticed three characteristics: preference to using for motivation and reading matters in elementary school levels, high frequencies of using problems from traditional mathematical books and origins of mathematical concepts or symbols, and emphasis on ethnic superiority through the Chinese traditional mathematics. Based on the results of analysis, we discussed and induced some implications for using the history in our mathematics textbooks.

  • Kamp & Reyle's (1993) proposal to represent split antecedents to a plural pronoun in terms of sum- mation and abstraction is critically reviewed in this paper, In point our some weak- nesses of their analysis as well as wrong predictions they make. In propose to treat the partitive reading found in bare numeral constructions by separating the conven-tional DRS construction rules from the cognitively motivated DRS-operations at a different level. A preference rule is also proposed that would constrain the sortal structure of discourse referents when such operations as summation and abstraction are enforced at the DRS's of relevant levels. Evidence for the separate treatment of linguistically motivated processes apart from cognitively motivated ones comes from both English and Korean constructions involving definite plural pronouns and numeral classifiers.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate gender differences in behavioral characteristics and their awareness of obese school children. The results were as follows 1. In comparison with eating habits and food preference, the girls had more irregular breakfast and were likely to have vegetables / fruits than the boys. 2. In characteristics related to exercise and activities, boys did more exercise than girls. Particularly, in lunch free time, boys participated in playing various active excercise with friends, but girls participated in more non-active behaviors (such as, chattering, reading, or playing jack-stones). 3. In comparison with their awareness related to obese persons, about a half of boys had positive opinions (e. grong, healthy.), but about only 20% of girls had positive opinions.

미국 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동 20년과 '한 책'의 분석 (An Analysis of 'One Book's Selected in Twenty Years of 'One Book, One City' Reading Campaigns in the U.S.A.)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 1998년부터 2016년까지 미국 '한 책, 한 도시' 지역사회 독서운동에서 선정된 책들의 선호도, 분류기호, 주제표목, 발행연도, 장르 등 특성을 살펴봄으로써 지역사회 독서운동의 지향점을 이해하는 것이다. 2017년 4월 LC(Library of Congress) 도서센터 웹사이트에 등록된 '한 책, 한 도시' 독서운동의 주별 및 작가별 리스트를 기반으로 전체 선정 책 1,102권 및 단 한 개 프로그램에서 선정된 책 812권의 LC OPAC 서지레코드 735건을 분석하였다. 주요한 발견은 To Kill a Mockingbird 등 선호된 책들의 계속적 영향력과 'The Big Read'를 통한 '한 책'의 수명 연장, 발행 1-2년 된 신간에 대한 선호, LC 분류체계의 P(문학 및 어학) 주제 집중(530권, 72.1%)과 PS(미국문학)의 압도적 중요성(307권, 57.9%), 가정소설, 역사소설, 심리소설 장르의 높은 비중과 43개 장르의 분산, 고유한 주제표목 535개 중 "City and town life"와 "World War, 1939-1945"(8권) 표목의 중요성 및 개별 주제표목들의 다양성, 96개 주제표목 그룹에서 "African American..."(20권)과 "Woman..."(16권)으로 시작하는 그룹의 중요성 등을 포함한다. 이 연구는 선정 책들의 주제가 통합, 이해, 관용 등에서 인권, 환경, 평화 등으로 변화하고 다양화하는 현황과 추이를 기술하였으나, 책 선정이 지역사회에 미친 영향 및 독서운동이 가져온 실제적 변화 등은 다루지 못한 제한점을 가진다.
