The primary aim for using a Korean Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) system is to maintain military operational readiness using Interactive Collection Analysis Systems (ICAS) installed on naval vessels. Other aims are to preemptively provision maintenance and supply functions, to guarantee economical management of logistical assets, and to implement data driven equipment life cycle management. In order to accomplish these aims, it is necessary to establish standard system conditions. However, because manufacturers do not provide the technology necessary for maintenance management, it is required to retain component performance maps for each piece of equipment, and to accumulate data about frequently occurring fault patterns. This study confirms the validity of component performance maps using micro gas turbines and provides accumulated data on machine break downs. This would allow real time equipment performance checks and present performance trends. Then analysis would provide solutions for maintaining the best machine operating conditions with detailed maintenance manuals for operators. This study is a basis for further research to investigate additional ways to develop CBM using data obtained from naval vessels used in actual military operations.
I. Purpose of the study An ultimate objectives of entrance examination for the selection of students by the nursing school is to evaluate their abilities and readiness for the further study as a competent and professional nurse at the college. As a method to measure the above mentioned achievement Inchon Nursing College conducts personality test in addition to the college made entrance examination. The study amid to find out the correlation between personality test and academic achievement including clinic nursing practice through analysing the data and affecting factors for the purpose of improvement and desirable entrance examination system. II. Content and Method of the study Selected experimental groups were 36 students who were admitted to the college in 1973 and 35 senior students who enrolled in the second semester in 1976. Gathered date, personality test achievement academic achievement record in the college and achievement of clinic nursing practice, from the total number of 71 students were analysed for the clarification of their correlation. III. Findings of the study 1. It was revealed that the correlation between the entrance examination achievement and personality test was meaningful. 2. Found no significant correlation between personality test and academic achievement through 3 years. 3. It was revealed the meaningful correl, n between personality test and clinic nursing practice. 4. The most dominant affecting elements for the academic achievement was the 2 nd year academes achievement showing 91.39%. Approximately 8% were affecting for the 1 st year and 2 nd year academic achievement by the entrance examination achievement and personality test. 5. Achievement of clinic nursing practice was greatly affected by the 2 nd year clinic nursing practice with 81.26%. Achievement of the 3 rd year clinic nursing practice and personality test were affecting with approximately 15%.
This paper aim to propose and suggest for government to reinvent and re-steering the policy on the 4th industrial revolution in Korea. To do it, this paper annalize the advanced country's policies and hard-data sets from many international research institutes. So this paper emphasized the concept and frame of socio-technical system approach by Geels. According to this approach, this paper can get a conclusion that Korea government has to focus on the roles to solve the big social dilemma with high-tech tools from the 4th industrial revolution. And this paper point out the necessary of increasing the diversity and multidisciplinary in 4th industrial revolution policy of Korean government. These findings of this paper recommend for Korea to redesigns the governance mechanism and legislation platform and to design the future readiness.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of hospital employees' perceptions and performance expectations on IT technologies introduction and intention to use in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Methodology: A survey was conducted on 524 employees at 42 hospitals. Pearson's correlation analysis, regression analysis, Sobel test, and structural equation were used for the analysis. Findings: The factors of technical situation (complexity, compatibility, technical readiness, and security concerns), those of environmental situation (competitive pressure and regulatory support), and organizational situation (top management support and costs) have influenced on the recognition of employees in the hospital and the performance expectations. IT technology introduction and use intention have been influenced by technical situation, organizational situation, and environmental situation in order. But security concerns and cost factors have not statistically affected. In addition, due to the perception and performance expectations of hospital employee who have a role in mediating the introduction and use intention of IT technology, the greater the perception and performance expectations of hospital employees, the higher the intention of introduction and usage of IT technology. Practical Implications: Rather than considering the position of external customers and the position of competitive hospitals, more attention is required for the perception and performance expectations of the internal members.
Those students with ability and interest in science should be supported to develop their potential and to reach high levels of achievement in science and technology. In order to ensure that gifted pupils are able to enhance their creativity as well as research abilities, appropriate learning programs and environments are essential. One of the various teaching and learning models for the gifted in science is the discovery learning model based on inductive science activities. There is a clear line of continuity between knowledge discovery at the forefront of research and student's learning activities. If students receive excellent training in organizing scientific concepts for themselves, they will be able to skillfully apply appropriate scientific concepts and solve problems when facing unfamiliar situations. It is very important to offer an appropriate learning environment to maximize the learning effect whilst, at the same time, understanding individual student's characteristics. In this study, the authors took great pains to research effective learning environments for gifted science students. Firstly, appropriate classroom learning environments thought by the teacher to offer the most potential were investigated. 3 different classes in which a revised teaching and learning environment was applied in sequence were examined. Inquiries were conducted into students' activities and achievement through observation, interviews, and examination of students' worksheets. A Science Education expert and 5 elementary school teachers specializing in gifted education also observed the class to examine the specific character of gifted science students. A number of suggestions in discovery learning classes for elementary students gifted in science are possible; 1) Readiness is essential in attitudes related to the inquiry. 2) The interaction between students should be developed. A permissive atmosphere is needed in small group activities. 3) Students require training in listening to others. In a whole class discussion, a permissive atmosphere needs to be restricted somewhat in order to promote full and inclusive discussion. 4) Students should have a chance to practice induction and abduction methods in solving problems.

A variety of educational policies have been implemented to educate outstanding individuals who will lead the future and to adopt supporting systems. For the successful implementation of educational policies, it is crucial to identify the perception of teachers as main agents of education. This study conducted a survey with elementary teachers in Chungcheongbuk-do. The purpose of this study was to investigate teachers' perception on the major policies related to ICT(i.e., STEAM, Smart Education, Software Education, e-textbook, and EdudataSystem). This study also compared the distribution of teachers' perception on the policies. The results of the study indicated that teachers had relatively positive perception on the importance and the necessity of the policies. On the other hand, it was found that the levels of teachers' training experiences and readiness for teaching related to ICT were relatively low. In addition, the patterns of teachers' perception on STEAM, Smart Education and Software Education were similar. Based on the results, the study suggested that appropriate support and educational strategies for effective implementation of policies should be established.
In this paper, HFC CATV networks are introduced. HFC CATV networks are currently considered as a most effective and plausible solution for subscriber access networks in the information superhighway, among others such as ADSL and B-WLL. The advantages of HFC CATV networks include its broad upstream and downstream channel bandwidths, much wider than PSTN's and its readiness. The HFC CATV networks are already well spread among the general subscribers in Korea. This fact will shorten the installation period and significantly reduce its cost. In addition, The structure and channel environment of the HFC CATV networks are introduced. At the same time, in this paper included are major problems in the HFC CATV networks and the solutions for these problems. Also discussed are data transmission, medium access control, IEEE802.14, and MCNS for standardizations. Moreover, additional telecommunications service activities in both Korea and other countries, using HFC CATV networks are also included. The topics which are covered in detail are the ones such as interoperation between HFC CATV networks and trunk line and the digital transmission performance test for the CATV networks. In the performance test, it is concluded that HFC CATV networks can satisfy the QoS for various additional services if the number of the subscribers in a cell is limited to less than 500 and other minor requirements are satisfied. Based on all these discussions and conclusions, HFC CATV networks are suggested in this paper for the subscriber access networks of the so called information superhighway.
Organizations pursue a CRM strategy for the purpose of increasing business performance and value. However, firms face a multitude of organizational challenges associated with this endeavor. To reduce their risk of failure, it is suggested that firms undertake a deep analysis of organizational readiness prior to committing to a CRM initiative. Insurance sector is no exception to this fact. There is an increased need to concentrate on the various challenges thrown open by the public insurance firms in implementing CRM. Many insurance firms have invested into customer driven CRM but research indicates varying outcomes (Schmith 2004). While it is clear that there are significant issues involved in the CRM implementation and success and environment faced by the public sector. It is clear that business should have an easier time in applying CRM systems is the strategic value for public sector. With customers demanding more service and accessibility from administrators, public sector CRM software technologies have to offer best solutions for achieving process and cost objectives (Souder 2001). With results which go far beyond improved service delivery and include sustained cost reductions, increased customer knowledge and better employee morale, CRM software implementation and post product environments offer great upside value. Although there are material differences in public sector use of CRM strategy, they share at least one glaring similarity - they have much to gain from proven CRM software technology. As business methods cross over in the public sector, many government bodies are investigating how they can adopt and adapt various CRM models (Bleyer 2003). There is a need to understand the similarities and differences in public sector CRM to foster shared knowledge, business processes and planning functions to integrate disparate technologies and software platforms and then, of course, the organizational culture to support knowledge sharing (Peters 1997). For the public sector, there are clearly identified CRM processes which have resulted in increased profits and improved efficiency. These have focused on sales, marketing and customer service activities, which often operate along fundamentally different lines in various public sector insurance companies. Thus the present research paper makes an attempt to explore how public sector CRM methods can be adopted and subsequently adapted.
The purpose of this study was to highlight the importance of 'marital preparation skill' by focusing on more substantial and tangible skills in marriage life, and to conduct an exploratory research to examine the current conditions and gender differences in marital preparation skills of college students. Data were gathered through a self-administered questionnaire in four universities located in Seoul and Gyeong-gi areas in the spring of 2013, and a total of 332 senior students chosen were used for data analysis. Based on the instrument used in Olson & Olson's(2000) PREPARE/ENRICH Program, the present study sought to suggest a measurement tool with the moniker of 'marital preparation skill' that included seven domains: conflict resolution skill, sexual relationship skill, household labor skill, financial management skill, leisure management skill, parenting preparation skill, and parental role skill. Each domain consisted of four items and thus, a total of 28 items were utilized for this study. Descriptive statistics were analyzed in order to examine the degree of marital preparation skills, and t-tests were conducted in order to assess the gender differences in marital preparation skills. The main results of this study are as follows: First, overall the degree of marital preparation skills of male students was higher than that of female students. Particularly, female students were lower than male students in the skills of financial management and conflict resolution. Second, regarding the basic household labor skill related to clothing and housing life, male students showed higher than female students, implying the impact of military life. Third, even though the degree of consciousness about appropriate preparation of parenthood and parental role seemed to be heightened, the actual degree of readiness of college students revealed to be insufficient. Male students had a much higher degree of confidence and sacrifice acceptance about parenthood, and understanding about their parents' child-rearing style than female students, while the mindset of child-rearing participation of male students was lower than that of female students. Findings of this study can be used as basic data for developing more effective and differentiated educational programs of marital preparation skills for men and women.
Background Chloral hydrate (CH) is the primary agent most commonly used for pediatric sedation prior to diagnostic, therapeutic procedures. In the management of pediatric facial laceration, the initial dose of CH has to balance the need for adequate sedation against the need to minimize sedative complications. Methods A retrospective review of medical records of 834 children who visited our emergency room for facial lacerations from August 2010 to September 2012 was conducted. They were divided into six groups on the basis of the initial dose of CH administered. Further, each group was compared with the standard group (70 to ${\leq}80mg/kg$) with respect to sedation success, augmentation dose, failed sedation, time to procedure, and time of stay. Results With respect to the complication rate, only group 1 (range, 40 to ${\leq}50mg/kg$) showed a significantly lower complication rate. In the case of all the other variables considered, there were no significant differences among any of the groups. Conclusions An initial CH dose of $48{\pm}2mg/kg$ does not negatively affect the success rate of sedation or the need for additional sedative during the primary closure of facial lacerations in pediatric patients. Further, lower doses reduce the incidences of adverse effects and do not delay procedure readiness. Therefore, $48{\pm}2mg/kg$ of CH can be considered the optimal initial dose for pediatric sedation.
