양육신념, 부모협력 및 가정학습환경과 유아의 학교준비도 (Parental Beliefs, Parental Involvement, the Home Learning Environment and Children's School Readiness)

  • This study investigated the effects of three factors-mothers' parenting beliefs; child care-home involvement; and the home learning environment - on the school readiness of 3- to 5-year-olds. The subjects were 366 children who were enrolled in child care centers located in Seoul and the Kyoungki area, and their mothers. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique was employed to test the pathways to children's school readiness as indicated by the child's abilities in vocabulary, math and reading. The results showed that mothers' stronger beliefs in their responsibilities in their children's academic and behavioral development predicted greater involvement in child care and better quality in the home learning environment. Likewise, the quality of the learning environment predicted the extent of the child's readiness for school. No direct relation was found between child care involvement and the child's school readiness. The results imply that multiple factors - parental, child-care-related, and home environmental- explain the extent to which the child is prepared to adjust to scholastic life.

Exploring the Mediating Effect of Readiness for Change on ERP Systems Adoption

  • To rapidly respond to uncertainties in the business environment whilst remaining competitive, every organization needs to be able to successfully introduce and manage organizational change. Cognizant of the role of information systems (IS) as an enabler of organizational change, many organizations have paid attention to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for successful organizational change primarily because of their change-driving forces across organizations. In this study, we focus attention on the role of readiness for change in the ERP systems adoption. Readiness for change described as views about the need for organizational change is posited to be and antecedent of two expectancies about the need for organizational change is posited to be an antecedent of two expectancies about the system. performance expectancy and effort expectancy, which lead to actual system use. In order to further establish th relevance of readiness for change as a determinant of two expectancies, computer self-efficacy is considered to be other key predictor as well. In addition, this study proposes that the personal characteristics of organizational commitment and perceived personal competence play roles of important determinants of readiness for change. Based on data gathered from the users of the ERP systems, structural equation analysis using LISREL provides significant support for the proposed relationships. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed along with limitations.

인터넷 구매의도의 선행변수 - 충동구매, 마켓메이븐 성향, 온라인 상호작용 준비성, 온라인 소비자 연기 - (Antecedents of internet purchasing intention - Impulse buying, market mavenism, online interaction readiness, and online consumer procrastination -)

  • In order to identify the antecedents of internet purchasing intention toward fashion items, this study examines shopping-related variables as both direct antecedents of internet purchasing intention, and as indirect antecedents of internet purchasing intention through online-related variables. Impulse buying and market mavenism were considered as shopping-related variables, whilst online interaction readiness and online consumer procrastination were considered as online-related variables. It was hypothesized that impulse buying and market mavenism not only directly influence purchasing intention toward fashion items, but also indirectly influence it through online interaction readiness and online consumer procrastination. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul using convenience sampling. A total of 286 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. SPSS was used for exploratory factor analysis, and AMOS was used for confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis. The factor analysis of market mavenism, impulse buying, and online consumer procrastination revealed one dimension, whilst the factor analysis of online interaction readiness revealed two dimensions: 'online relationship' and 'internet role.' Tests of the hypothesized path proved that impulse buying indirectly influences internet shopping intention only through online consumer procrastination, whereas market mavenism influences internet shopping intention indirectly through both online interaction readiness and online consumer procrastination. The results will be useful for Internet shopping mall marketers and for future study.

일개 대학병원 간호사의 무선정보기술 사용의도 영향 요인 (Determinants of the Intent to Use a Wireless Technology of a University Hospital Nurses)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate determinants of intent to use a wireless information technology(WIT) of University Hospital Nurses. The independent variables used in the study are usefulness, compatibility, social environment, perceived readiness, technical readiness, organizational readiness and socio-demographic characteristics. The dependent variable is the intent to use a wireless information technology(WIT). The sample used in this study consisted of 297 nurses selected from a university hospital located in Wonju, Gangwon-do, Korea Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of the study revealed that 5 independent variables of usefulness, compatibility, perceived readiness, technical readiness, and organizational readiness were found to have significant effects on the nurses' intent to use a WIT. As a conclusion, it is important to make organizational, clinical, and technical environment WIT-friendly prior to applying WIT to hospital nurses. In addition, it is also important to provide an education and training for nurses to improve their skill of using WIT and to make the new WIT compatible with the existing nursing information system.

비빈곤가정과 빈곤가정 유아의 문제행동 발달궤적과 학습준비도 및 학교적응 (Children's Problem Behaviors Trajectories of Poor- and Non Poor-Households on the Path to Learning Readiness and School Adjustment)

  • Using data from the Panel Study on Korean Children, this study investigated whether children with high levels of problem behaviors adjusted more poorly on the $1^{st}-grade$ than children with low levels of problem behaviors, and whether there was evidence of intra-individual stability in behavior problems over time. Data were analyzed by use of the Latent Growth Model and group differences analyses. Three findings were noteworthy. First, there was evidence of intra-individual and inter-individual variability in behavior problems between poor- and non-poor household children. Second, children with higher initial levels of internalizing and externalizing behaviors at 4 years had lower school readiness scores at 6 years. Finally, children with lower levels of school readiness at 6 years had lower school adjustment scores in $1^{st}$ grade. The results discuss implications for future research and policies for preschool children. With mediating effect of school readiness, developmental trajectories of child's problem behavior have been found to be predictors of delayed achievements in school. The results show that intervention programs are necessary for children with high levels of problem behavior. This study also showed that children who experienced poverty at home could have more difficulties in school readiness and school adjustment.

제조성숙도평가 MRL8 평가 방법론에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Methodology of Manufacturing Readiness Levels(MRLs) 8 of Manufacturing Readiness Assessment(MRA))

  • 제조성숙도평가(Manufacturing Readiness Assessment, MRA)는 제조 준비상태를 평가하는 방법으로 체계, 부체계의 개발 및 양산에서 발생할 수 있는 일정지연, 비용 상승, 품질 저하 등을 방지하지 위해서 2012년에 제도화되었다. 제조성숙도 평가는 군수품의 양산단계의 제조상 위험성을 사전에 식별하여 관리한 결과, 군수품의 품질수준이 개선되는 등 긍정적인 효과가 있었으나 실제 수행 시 피평가자가 평가항목에 대해 맞춤형으로 준비를 하면서 평가점수가 점차적으로 높아지는 등 준비상태 점검이라는 본래의 목적과는 달리 점수만 상승하는 평가점수 인플레 현상이 심화되는 문제점이 식별되었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 극복하고 과거 업체의 MRA 평가항목 이력을 반영하기 위해 HOM8, 평가항목 난이도를 반영하기 위한 DOM8, 평가항목의 중요도 및 사업별 특성을 고려한 ICOM8과 M8RA를 각각 정의하여 네가지 지표 가중치를 적용한 MWV(Manufacturing Readiness Level 8 Weighted Value)을 정의한 정량적인 MRA 평가모델을 제안한다. 제안된 모델을 통해 기존에 실시된 4개 사업에 대한 평가항목 간 MWV를 계산하였으며, 이를 통해 제안된 MRL 8 평가 방법론의 개선결과를 분석하였다.

예비유아교사의 교직 선택동기, 교육신념과 자기주도학습준비도의 관련 및 효과 분석 (Analysis of Relationships and Effects of Pre-service Early Childhood Teacher's Motivations of Choosing a Teaching Profession Related to Educational Belief and Self-directed Learning Readiness)

  • This study was conducted to examine the relationship between pre-service early childhood teacher's motivations of choosing a teaching profession, educational belief, and self-directed learning readiness. The sample included 308 early childhood education major students, and the data were collected using the Modified Orientation to Teach Survey (MOTS), Teaching-belief type scale, and self-directed learning readiness scale. A statistical analysis included correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: 1) analysis of the relationship between pre-service early childhood teacher's motivations of choosing a teaching profession, educational belief, and self-directed learning readiness conveys that intellectual stimulation and self-directed learning had the strongest relationships while nature of work had the weakest. For educational belief and self-directed learning readiness, maturationism and interactionism showed significantly positive correlations while behaviorism displayed a negative correlation. Behaviorism had a significantly negative correlation with openness for challenge, a sub-factor of self-directed learning. 2) Analysis of the effect of pre-service early childhood teacher's motivations of choosing a teaching profession and educational belief on self-directed learning readiness indicates that pre-service early childhood teacher's motivations of choosing a teaching profession had a stronger effect on self-directed learning. These results suggest the following: successful performance as an early childhood teacher not only requires receiving institutionalized education but also self-directed learning while working as an early childhood teacher.

Technology Readiness Level Assignment to Industrial Plant System Life Cycle

  • During the industrial plant system life cycle, required technologies are developed and assessed to analyze their performance, risks and costs. The assessment is called technology readiness assessment (TRA) and the measure of readiness is called technology readiness level (TRL). The TRL consists of 9 levels and through the TRL assessment, the technology to be developed and its components are assigned to their appropriate TRL. TRL assessment should be performed in each life cycle stages to monitor the technology readiness and analyze the potential risks and costs. However, even though the concept of TRL has been largely adopted by numerous organizations and industry, direct and clear assignment of target TRL for each life cycle stage has been overlooked. Direct mapping/assignment of target TRL for each life cycle has benefits as follow: (1) the technical risks condition of each life cycle stage can be better understood, (2) cost incurred if the technology development is failed can be analyzed in each life cycle stage, and (3) more effective decision making because the technology readiness achievement for each life cycle stages is agreed beforehand. In this paper, we propose a steel-making plant system life cycle and TRL assignment to each of the system life cycle stage. By directly assigning target TRL for each life cycle stages, we look forward to a more coordinated (in terms of exit criteria) and highly effective (in terms of technical risks identification and eventually prevent project failure) technology development and assessment processes.

가족지지 자원인 요양보호사 양성과정 교육프로그램 만족도와 직무수행준비에 관한 연구: SERVQUAL 모델의 적용 (A Study on the Educational Satisfaction and the Occupational Readiness among the Home-health-care Workers Licensing Program Participants: An Application of Educational Service Quality (SERVQUAL) Model)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the home-health-care workers licensing education course in Seoul, Korea. Based on the previous research, a conceptual model was suggested explaining the dynamics of perceived educational service quality (SERVQUAL), educational satisfaction and the occupational readiness. The data set for this study drawn from the 297 self-administered surveys were analyzed with the suggested conceptual model by utilizing AMOS program. The measurement models and conceptual model fit well with the collected data set. As results of this study, 5 domains of SERVQUAL were produced including accountability, trustiness, responsiveness, sympathy, and assurance. The results of structural modeling with latent variables confirmed that SERVQUAL were influenced perceived educational satisfaction as well as occupational readiness. Among the SERVQUAL domains, accountability, trustiness, responsiveness, and assurance had significant impacts on the educational satisfaction while accountability, trustiness and responsiveness had significant direct effects on the occupational readiness. The trustiness had significant indirect effects on the occupational readiness via the educational satisfaction. Hence, the educational satisfaction had the significant impacts on the occupational readiness. Based on the findings of this study, we suggest to intense the educational program or curricular focusing on the SERVQUAL elements. Those changes will enhance self-confidence among the prospective home-health-care workers as well as public trustiness on the national long-term care program.

입원 암환자의 죽음준비와 죽음불안 (Readiness for Death and Death Anxiety among Hospitalized Cancer Patients)

  • 본 연구는 암환자의 죽음준비와 죽음불안 정도 및 그 관계를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 암으로 진단 받고 4개 병원에 입원 중인 환자 183명으로 자료수집은 2010년 5월에 이루어졌다. 자료분석은 SPSS WIN 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 서술통계, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient를 산출하였다. 대상자의 죽음준비 정도는 4점 만점에 1.99(${\pm}0.69$)점으로 심리적 준비 정도가 가장 높았으며, 죽음불안 정도는 4점 만점에 2.21(${\pm}0.59$)점으로 죽음과정에 대한 불안이 가장 높게 나타났다. 죽음준비와 죽음불안간의 상관관계는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 대상자의 특성에 따른 죽음준비 정도는 연령, 내세관, 암 병기, 투병기간 및 증상 수에서, 죽음불안 정도는 신앙심과 내세관에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 암환자들은 특히 죽음과정에 대한 불안이 높기 때문에 투병 및 임종과정에서 겪게 되는 불안을 경감시켜 줄 필요가 있으며, 아울러 영적 간호중재가 포함되어야 함을 제안한다.
