활성산소에 대한 고찰 (Review of Reactive Oxygen)

  • Purpose : This study is to understand the reactive oxygen which is expected to be a causative factor of aging condition including dementia, atherosclerosis, even cancer. Methods : The reactive oxygen is generated usually when people do very hard exercise or is under severe stressful situation or in unhealthy environment and as a protective reaction to reactive oxygen, human body releases antioxidant enzyme systems like superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, glutathione peroxidase (GPX), glutathion-S-transferase (GST) and non-enzymetic antioxidant systems like glutathione, ascorbate, $\beta$-carotene, vitimin E. Results : Nowadays, we are getting more interested in the generation of reactive oxygen especially in the area of physical education, food and nutrition, alternative medicine etc. Conclusion : The study of reactive oxygen in patients with musculoskeletal disease is also required and among various physical therapeutic approaches, the method of general coordinative manipulation is considered more necessary.

Dyeing Properties of Nylon Fabric with Reactive Dyes Having Different Reactive Group

  • The dyeing properties of the several reactive dyes possessing different types of the reactive group on nylon 6 fabric have been investigated. Dyeing of nylon fiber with commercial reactive dyes was dependent on the dye bath pH. As pH increased, the extent of exhaustion decreased due to the deprotonation of the amino end group. But, the extent of fixation increased because of the enhanced reactivity with nylon fiber. It was found that all reactive dyes could be applied to nylon 6 reasonably at pH 5-6. But, the conflicting requirements of dye exhaustion and covalent bond formation limited the extent of fixation efficiency. The best method to improve the extent of the fixation efficiency of the reactive dyes was the conversion of sulphatoethylsulphone group to vinylsulphone group before dyeing with trisodium phosphate. The converted Supra type reactive dye gave the highest extent of fixation efficiency, which was about 90%.

국제 열핵융합실험로 펄스전원계통의 무효전력보상기 검증 (Reactive Power Compensator for Pulsed Power Electric Network of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor)

  • Analysis and verification of reactive power compensator (RPC) for ITER pulsed power electric network (PPEN) are described in this paper. The RPC system is rated for a nominal power of 250 Mvar necessary to comply with the allowable reactive power limit value from the grid 200 Mvar. This system is currently under construction and is based on static var compensation technology with a thyristor-controlled reactor and a harmonic filter. The RPC minimizes reactive power from grid using prediction of reactive power consumption of AC-DC converters. The feasibility of the reactive power compensation was verified by assembling a real controller and implementing ITER PPEN in the real time digital simulator for the hardware-in-loop facility. When maximum reactive power is reached, grid voltage is stabilized and maximum reactive power decreased from 120 Mvar to 40 Mvar via the reactive power prediction method.

  • 본 논문은 배전계통에 전지전력저장시스템(Battery Energy Storage System: BESS)를 연계하여 운전하는 경우 BESS의 유.무효전력 제어에 대하여 연구하였다. BESS을 배전계통에 연계하는 경우, 이의 유.무효전력 출력을 제어함으로써 배전계통에 일정 전력을 공급, 첨두 부하를 삭감하고 전압을 보상할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 배전계통과 전지전력저장시스템을 등가 모델링 하였고 전지전력저장시스템의 유.무효 전력제어를 위한 전력 조류 방정식을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 BESS의 유.무효전력을 제어하기 위하여 $P-\delta$와 Q-V 제어를 사용하였고 이를 입증하기 위하여 BESS의 유.무효전력 제어를 PSCAD/EMTDC 프로그램을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 하였다.

산성염료 및 중성고착형 반응성염료를 이용한 나일론/면 교직물의 1욕 1단 염색 (The One-bath One-step Dyeing of Nylon/Cotton Blends with Acid Dyes and Mononicotinic acid-triazine type Reactive Dyes)

  • Because acid dyes and reactive dyes require acidic condition for adsorption and alkaline condition for fixation respectively, it is difficult to dye nylon/cotton blends in one-bath one-step dyeing method. In this paper we tried to find out the suitable dye and dyeing condition for one-bath one-step dyeing of nylon/cotton blends. MNT type reactive dyes showed higher exhaustion on cotton as compared with MCT type dyes at neutral pH, which means that the MNT type reactive dyes are preferable for one-bath one-step dyeing method. The optimum condition for one-bath one-step dyeing of nylon/cotton blends was found to be pH 7. Wash fastness of fabrics dyed with half-milling type acid dyes was superior to that of fabrics dyed with levelling type acid dyes, when MNT type reactive dyes were used together.

A Hybrid Static Compensator for Dynamic Reactive Power Compensation and Harmonic Suppression

  • This paper presents a combined system of a small-capacity inverter and multigroup delta-connected thyristor switched capacitors (TSCs). The system is referred to as a hybrid static compensator (HSC) and has the functions of dynamic reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression. In the proposed topology, the load reactive power is mainly compensated by the TSCs. Meanwhile the inverter is meant to cooperate with TSCs to achieve continuous reactive power compensation, and to filter the harmonics generated by nonlinear loads and the TSCs. First, the structure and mathematical model of the HSC are discussed Then the control method of the HSC is presented. An improved reduced order generalized integrator (ROGI)-based selective current control method is adopted in the inverter to achieve high-performance reactive and harmonic current compensation. Meanwhile, a switch control strategy is proposed to implement precise and fast switching of the TSCs and to avoid changing the time delay needed by the conventional switch strategy. Experiments are implemented on a 20 KVA HSC prototype and the obtained results verify the validity of the proposed HSC system.

Islanding Detection Method for Inverter-based Distributed Generation Systems using a Signal Cross-correlation Scheme

  • This paper describes the development of a new islanding detection method for inverter-based distributed generation systems, which uses a signal cross-correlation scheme between the injected reactive current and the power frequency deviation. The proposed method injects 1% of the reactive current to the rated current which brings about a negligible degradation of the power quality. It discriminates the islanding state, when the calculated cross-correlation index is larger than 0.5. The operational feasibility was verified through computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software and experimental research with a hardware prototype. The proposed method can detect the islanding state without degrading the power quality at the point of common connection. Further study is required to overcome the cancellation of the injected reactive current from multiple distributed generation units interconnected with the utility grid.

  • In the conventional current control methods for the current-type reactive power compensators, it is usual to compare the reactive reference current signal with the triangular wave and hence to generate the ON-OFF signals for the semiconductor reactive power compensator. To improve the response as well as the control capability, the delta modulated current control technique is proposed in this paper and studied theoretically.

Synchronous Carrier-based Pulse Width Modulation Switching Method for Vienna Rectifier

  • This paper proposes a synchronous switching technique for a Vienna rectifier that uses carrier-based pulse width modulation (CB-PWM). A three-phase Vienna rectifier, similar to a three-level T-type converter with three back-to-back switches, is used as a PWM rectifier. Conventional CB-PWM requires six independent gate signals to operate back-to-back switches. When internal switches are operated synchronously, only three independent gate signals are required, which simplifies the construction of gate driver circuits. However, with this method, total harmonic distortion of the input current is higher than that with conventional CB-PWM switching. A reactive current injection technique is proposed to improve current distortion. The performance of the proposed synchronous switching method and the effectiveness of the reactive current injection technique are verified using simulations and experiments performed with a set of Vienna rectifiers rated at 5 kW.

무효전력조류의 최적제어에 의한 전력손실 최소화 연구 (Minimizing Power Transmission Losses by Optimum Control of Reactive Power Flow)

  • The paper develops a method of minimizing power transmission losses by optimum control of reactive power flow. In the past, because the optimizing method considers as the first step the minimization of node voltage deviations and as the second step the minimization of transmission losses within the system, the calculating procedure was more complex and difficult to handle. In this paper, a new computing method for real time control on a digital computer is described which aims at a coordinated use of reactive power sources and voltage regulating devices. The power transmission losses are minimized by a gradient method while satisfying the constrained system voltage conditions and sensitivity parameters are the basis of the method.
