청감실험을 통한 원불교 소법당의 음향특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Acoustic Characteristics of Won Buddhism Small Sanctums by Psychoacoustics Experiment)

  • This study is a research that evaluates and analyzes on the subjective reaction of Won buddhism small sanctum through psychoacoustics experiment. For doing it, after choosing of 5 Won buddhism small sanctums of which its building volume at $400m^{3}{\sim}650m^{3}$, a psychoacoustics experiment has been conducted. Based on those A, B, C, E temple-halls which appeared as higher than 'average' in the result of subjective reaction evaluation of the Won buddhism small sanctum through psychoacoustics experiment, it could be classified as the conclusion of the factor analysis: the first factor is 'space sense of sound', the second factor is 'intimacy-feeling with sound' and the third factor is 'clearness of sound', respectively.

  • Diazotized chitin(CHITN) as supports of immobilized enzyme, which was obtained by alkaline hydrolysed chitin with NaN3 and HCI was employed to produce CHITN-Gase with glutaraldehyde as bifunctional reagent. Activities of CHITN-Gase were determined with reaction of p-nitro-pheol-$\beta$-D-glucopyranoside(PNG) in plug flow reactor as a reference of CHITA-Gase. Their optimum temperature, pH, Km and Vmax, mass transfer coefficient (h), effctiveness factor(η)were plotted with variation of flow rate and H/D. Mass transfer coefficient(h) of those enzymes increased because of their flux, as flow rates were increased and controlled by reaction rate. Effectiveness factor(η) of both enzymes were nearly 1.0.

  • This paper presents the analysis of the analysis of thrust characteristics of linear induction motors(LIMs) according to secondary reaction plate. LIMs are well known as high speed transport systems, which can obtain thrust directly without gears and links, or auxiliary mechanisms. A simple structure, easy maintenance, and less environmental pollution are advantages of LIMs. In transport systems using LIMs, the secondary reaction plate is an important design factor, because it has considerable impact on the cost of the railway as well as the performance of the LIMs. This paper deals analyzed the characteristics of linear induction motor used for moving the vehicle of container scanner. Thrust, efficiency and load characteristic were interpreted with FEM regarding two models whose material of secondary reaction plate was copper and aluminum. It suggested the interpretation of thrust, efficiency and power factor characteristic along slip and compared the operation ability of linear induction motor through characteristics analysis along the load.

Antiallergic Action of Magnolia Officinalis on Immediate Hypersensitivity Reaction

  • We studied the effect of aqueous extract of Magnolia officinalis bark (Magnoliaceae) (MOAE) on the immediate hypersensitivity reaction. MOAE (0.01 to 1g/kg) dose-dependently inhibited compound 48/80 induced systemic anaphylaxis in rats. MOAE (0.1 and 1g/kg) also significantly inhibited local immunoglobulin E (lgE)-mediated passive cutaneous anaphylactic reaction. When MOAE was pretreated at concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 1g/kg, the levels of plasma histamine were reduced in a dose-dependent manner. MOAE (0.001 to 1 mg/ml) dose-dependently inhibited the histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells (RPMC) activated by compound 48/80 or anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP) Igl. The level of cyclic AMP (CAMP) in RPMC, when MOAE was added, significantly increased compared with that of the normal control. Moreover, MOAE (0.01 to 1 mg/ml) had a significant inhibitory effect on anti-DNP Igl-induced tumor necrosis factor-$\alpha$ production from RPMC. These results indicate that MOAE inhibits immediate hypersensitivity reaction in vivo and in vitro.

지하수위 변동 해석모델 개발(I): 모델의 이론 (Development of Analyzing Model of Groundwater Table Fluctuation(I): Theory of Model)

  • 본 연구에서 개발하고자 하는 지하수위 변동 해석모델은 지하수의 흐름과 관련된 반응계수 및 함양형태와 관련된 비산출율을 매개변수로 하여 부정류상태에서의 지하수위 변동특성을 해석한다. 모델의 시험적용을 위해 제주도 한천지역의 JD 용담1과 JW 공항지점의 5년(2006-2010)간의 지하수위 관측자료를 이용하였다. 매개변수 산정결과, JD 용담1지점에서는 비산출율 0.023, 반응계수 0.039로 추정되었고, JW 공항지점에서는 각각 0.009와 0.028로 추정되었다. 본 연구에서 개발한 모델을 이용하면, 지하수위에 의한 함양량 및 포화대에서의 매개변수를 추정할 수 있어 수문모형의 매개변수 및 비포화대에서의 침루특성을 확인하는 수단으로 활용되기를 기대한다.

콘크리트 포장의 다웰바 전단거동 실험 (Stiffness Test of Dowel Bar for fainted Concrete Pavement)

  • 본 연구에서는 콘크리트포장의 디웰바 전단시험 절차와 실험결과를 이용하여 PC 스프레드시트에서 다웰바의 지지력계수와 전단 스프링 강성계수를 산정하는 절차를 제시하였다. 세 개의 시험체를 통해 AASHTO의 다웰바 전단시험을 수행하여 콘크리트 포장의 불연속면에서의 전단거동을 모사하였다. 예비실험을 통해 발생한 비틀림 변형을 최소화하기 위해 측면 고정대 사용하여 실험하였다. 초기하중에서의 하중의 재하(loading), 제하(unloading), 재재하(reloading)를 반복수행한 결과 탄성적인 거동을 보여준다. 그러나 전체 하중 범위에서는 다웰바의 지지력계수 또는 전단 스프링 강성계수는 슬래브의 상대 처짐 또는 재하하중에 따라 비선형으로 거동함을 보여준다. 본 실험에서 얻어진 다웰의 지지력계수는 550-880GN/m3으로서 Yoder와 Witczak이 제안하는 407GN/m3보다는 1.4-2.2배가 크게 산정되었다. 이는 측면 고정대를 사용함으로서, 실험시 예상되는 비틀림 변형이 기존의 실험에 비해 적었던 것으로 판단된다. 본 실험에서 얻어진 다웰의 지지력계수 또는 전단 스프링 강성계수는 다웰바를 이용한 콘크리트 불연속면의 구조해석 시 참고자료로 활용될 수 있다.

Relation between Multiple Markers of Work-Related Fatigue

  • Background: Work-related fatigue has a strong impact on performance and safety but so far, no agreed upon method exists to detect and quantify it. It has been suggested that work-related fatigue cannot be quantified with just one test alone, possibly because fatigue is not a uniform construct. The purpose of this study is therefore to measure work-related fatigue with multiple tests and then to determine the underlying factorial structure. Methods: Twenty-eight employees (mean: 36.11; standard deviation 13.17) participated in five common fatigue tests, namely, posturography, heart rate variability, distributed attention, simple reaction time, and subjective fatigue before and after work. To evaluate changes from morning to afternoon, t tests were conducted. For further data analysis, the differences between afternoon and morning scores for each outcome measure and participant (${\Delta}$ scores) were submitted to factor analysis with varimax rotation and each factor with the highest-loading outcome measure was selected. The ${\Delta}$ scores from tests with single and multiple outcome measures were submitted for a further factor analysis with varimax rotation. Results: The statistical analysis of the multiple tests determine a factorial structure with three factors: The first factor is best represented by center of pressure (COP) path length, COP confidence area, and simple reaction time. The second factor is associated with root mean square of successive difference and useful field of view (UFOV). The third factor is represented by the single ${\Delta}$ score of subjective fatigue. Conclusion: Work-related fatigue is a multidimensional phenomenon that should be assessed by multiple tests. Based on data structure and practicability, we recommend carrying out further studies to assess work-related fatigue with manual reaction time and UFOV Subtest 2.

  • Vitamin C의 변화는 식품의 가치를 판단하는데 중요한 인자가 된다. 이의 변화는 산소의 존재하에서 일차반응 속도로 분해된다고 알려져 있다. 그러나 제한된 량의 산소 속에서는 이차반응 내지 일차반응으로 설명되기도 한다. 이에 제한된 산소속에서 철, 구리 이온의 존재하에서 관찰한 바 용존산소와는 크게 관계없이 일차 반응속도로 분해되었고 이때 빛의 조사는 촉진적인 인자였었다.

  • A material was formulated with Phenol novolac and HEXA only. The cure kinetics and thermal characteristics of phenol novolac with various HEXA contents were peformed by differential scanning calorimetry and thermal gravimetric analysis. All kinetic parameters of the curing reaction including the reaction order, activation energy, and rate constant were calculated and reported. The results indicate that the curing reaction goes through an autocatalytic kinetic mechanism. The friction and wear characteristics of this material were determined using friction material testing machine. The friction coefficient of phenol novolac with various HEXA contents was determined using the PV(pressure & velocity) factor. The most stable and highest friction coefficient with a various pressure and velocity condition was found at HEXA 10 wt.% material. The specific wear rate per unit sliding distance with a various HEXA contents was reported.

Intrinsic and Thermodynamic Effects on the Structure and Energy of the S$_N$2 Transition State$^*$

  • Two contributions to the activation barrier of the $S_N2$ reaction, intrinsic and thermodynamic, are discussed in connection with the predictive power of various rate-equilibrium relationships. It has been shown that the PES models can only give correct predictions of changes in structure and energy of the transition state if the activation barrier is dictated by the thermodynamic factor. We concluded that the identity and dissociative $S_N2$ reactions are dominated by the intrinsic component while associative $S_N2$ reactions are predominantly of thermodynamic controlled. Thus in the former cases, the PES models fail, whereas in the latter cases predictions based on the intrinsic factor, the quantum mechanical models, fail. Finally in a general case of equal contributions by thermodynamic and intrinsic factors, the $SN_2$ reaction proceeds by a synchronous process with zero net charge on the reaction center, for which predictions of substituent effects will be the same as for the intrinsic control case.
