Routh Approximants with Arbitrary Order

  • It has been pointed out in the literature that the Routh approximation method for order reduction has limitations in treating transfer functions with the denominator-numerator order difference not equal to one. The purpose of this paper is to present a new algorithm based on the Routh approximation method that can be applied to general rational transfer functions, yielding reduced models with arbitrary order.

  • A new computational program, which is based on the CIP/CCUP(Constraint Interpolation Profile/CIP Combined Unified Procedure) method, has been developed to numerically analyse sloshing phenomena dealt as multiphase-flow problems. For the convection terms of Navier-Stokes equations, the RCIP(Rational function CIP) method was adopted and the THINC-WLIC(Tangent of Hyperbola for Interface Capturing-Weighted Line Interface Calculation) method was used to capture the air/water interface. To validate the present numerical method, two-dimensional dam-breaking and sloshing problems in a rectangular tank were solved by the developed method in a stationary Cartesian grid system. In the case of sloshing problems, simulations by using a improved MPS(Moving Particle Simulation) method, which is named as PNU-MPS(Pusan National University-MPS), were also carried out. The computational results are compared with those of experiments and most of the comparisons are reasonably good.

  • 범용센서모델의 한 종류인 비례다항식 모델(RFM: Rational Function Model)은 광학영상의 센서모델링분야에서 활발히 활용되고 있으나 SAR영상에 대한 적용은 미진한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 스테레오 TerraSAR-X영상을 대상으로 RF 모델링을 적용하여 적용방법의 타당성과 효율성에 대해 분석하였다. 또한 본 연구성과의 DSM(Digital Surface Model)과 기존 상용 소프트웨어에서 생성된 DSM을 다양한 측면에서 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 RF 모델링 기법이 SAR영상의 적용 시에도 매우 효과적이며 실용적으로 적용 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

  • This study investigated the public use of Myeon Location in Jeollanam - do where the population is at risk of declining. And discussed the rational provision and coordination of public facilities as a guarantee of fundamental rights. As a result of the study, the rational supply and adjustment directions of public facilities are as follows. First, there are problems such as high availability of management, finance, shopping, and health facilities, lack of culture, leisure, community facilities, and weakening of center function. Therefore, in the continuing declining population situation, face management, safety and health facilities should be upgraded to multifunctional facilities, and utilization efficiency and integration should be promoted. In addition, town center rehabilitation should be centered on multifunctional facilities. In addition, elementary schools will have to utilize and preserve them to take advantage of local cultural values as nostalgia storing place that provide incentives for young people and elementary school children in the future. Second, in order to cope with population decline, public facilities need to strengthen public services through complexity and multifunctionality, wide-area operation with neighboring areas, and user-centered operation management.

  • Consider a Jackson type closed queueing network in which each queue has a single exponential server. Assume that N customers are moving among .kappa. queues. We propose a candidata procedure which yields a lower bound of the network throughput which is sharper than those which are currently available : Let (.rho.$_{1}$, ... .rho.$_{\kappa}$) be the loading vector, let x be a real number with 0 .leq. x .leq. N, and let y(x) denote that y is a function of x and be the unique positive solution of the equation. .sum.$_{i = 1}$$^{\kappa}$y(x) .rho.$_{i}$ (N - y(x) x $p_{i}$ ) = 1 Whitt [17] has shown that y(N) is a lower bound for the throughput. In this paper, we present evidence that y(N -1) is also a lower bound. In dosing so, we are led to formulate a rather general conjecture on 'quot;Migrating Critical Points'quot; (MCP). The .MCP. conjecture asserts that zeros of successive derivatives of certain rational functions migrate at an accelerating rate. 함수 근사 모멘트 방법에서 추정한 1∼4차 통계적 모멘트의 수치적 검증 (Numerical Verification of the First Four Statistical Moments Estimated by a Function Approximation Moment Method)

  • This research aims to examine accuracy and efficiency of the first four moments corresponding to mean, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis, which are estimated by a function approximation moment method (FAMM). In FAMM, the moments are estimated from an approximating quadratic function of a system response function. The function approximation is performed on a specially selected experimental region for accuracy, and the number of function evaluations is taken equal to that of the unknown coefficients for efficiency. For this purpose, three error-minimizing conditions are utilized and corresponding canonical experimental regions constructed accordingly. An interpolation function is then obtained using a D-optimal design and then the first four moments of it are obtained as the estimates for the system response function. In order to verify accuracy and efficiency of FAMM, several non-linear examples are considered including a polynomial of order 4, an exponential function, and a rational function. The moments calculated from various coefficients of variation show very good accuracy and efficiency in comparison with those from analytic integration or the Monte Carlo simulation and the experimental design technique proposed by Taguchi and updated by D'Errico and Zaino.

아동의 사회적 유능성에 관련된 변인 연구 (Relevant Variables of children's Social Competence)

  • This study firstly investigated the relationships of children's social competence with the relevant factors such as mother's parental role satisfaction and parenting behaviors and secondly analyzed if parenting behaviors function as mediators. The subjects were 1865-year-old children and their mothers. The results showed that children's social competence was related to the children's sex, health, and mother's academic career. Children's social competence was influenced by the relation satisfaction between parents and children, the role conflict between wife and husband, the mother s warm-hearted and rational parenting, and the wife's satisfaction of her husband's support. The mother's warm-hearted and rational parenting functioned as a mediator(intermediary factor) between the children's social competence and the mother's parental role satisfaction.

The Improvement of RFM RPC Using Ground Control Points and 3D Cube

  • Some of satellites such as IKONOS don't provide the orbital elements so that we can’ utilize the physical sensor model. Therefore, Rational Function Model(RFM) which is one of mathematical models could be a feasible solution. In order to improve 3D geopositioning accuracy of IKONOS stereo imagery, Rational Polynomial Coefficients(RPCs) of the RFM need to be updated with Ground Control Points(GCPs). In this paper, a method to improve RPCs of RFM using GCPs and 3D cube is proposed. Firstly, the image coordinates of GCPs are observed. And then, using offset values and scale values of RPC provided, the image coordinates and ground coordinates of 3D cube are initially determined and updated RPCs are computed by the iterative least square method. The proposed method was implemented and analyzed in several cases: different numbers of 3D cube layers and GCPs. The experimental results showed that the proposed method improved the accuracy of RPCs in great amount.

  • According to the user recognizing, the propose of this study is to establish the systematic church-design and the plan of rational process. When the plan of church design is rational come out, the local community will be risen and there is the possibility which will raise the essential function of church construction and design. The results from the study are as follow. Firstly, the area of the front-window and the number of the external entrance are correlated with the accessibility of the building. Secondly, the height of a bell-tower is related with the feelings of a tediously and a intimate degree. Thirdly, the ground clearance of the whole surface is correlated with the church-character and the community formation of a local society.
