The likelihood ratio test for detecting the best treatment among several exponential populations (지수분표에 있어서 최우수 처리의 판별을 위한 우도비 검정)

  • The method for detecting the best treatment is considered by means of hypothesis testing in the exponential case. The likelihood ratio test for a given hypothesis is derived to control the error probability, and the minimum powers in the interested regions are calculated to design the sampling plan.

  • DCF 프로토콜 상에서 성공적인 패킷 전송을 위해서는 CW 값이 최솟값이 되어야 한다. 성공적인 전송을 위해서는 CW 값이 알맞아야 한다. 이것은 충돌을 유발할 수 있으므로 CW값은 경쟁레벨과 같은 길이가 되어야 한다. Slow CW Decrease(SD)는 경쟁레벨을 유지할 수 있는 방법을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 Idle and Collision time Ratio(ICR)을 이용한 향상된 SD 방법을 제안한다.

  • In this study, the ultimate strengths of 229 simply supported reinforced concrete deep beams tested to shear failure were evaluated by the ACI 318-05's strut-tie model approach implemented with the presented indeterminate strut-tie model and its load distribution ratio. The ultimate strengths of the deep beams were also estimated by the experimental shear equations, design codes that were based on experimental and theoretical shear strength models, and current strut-tie model design codes. The validity of the present strut-tie model and its load distribution ratio was examined through the comparison of the strength analysis results classified according to the prime design variables of the shear span-to-effective depth ratio, flexural reinforcement ratio, and compressive strength of concrete.

  • In this paper, label assignment schemes considering the IP flow model for the efficient MPLS traffic engineering are proposed and evaluated. Based on the IP flow model, the IP flows are classified into transient flows and base flows. Base flows, which last for a long time, transmit data in high bit rate, and be composed of many packets, have good implications for the MPLS traffic engineering, because they usually cause network congestion. To make use of base flows for the MPLS traffic engineering, we propose two base flow classifiers and label assignment schemes where transient flows are allocated to the default LSPs and base flows to explicit LSPs. Proposed schemes are based on the traffic-driven label triggering method combined with a routing tabel. The first base flow classifier uses both flow size in packet counts and routing entries, and the other one, extending the dynamic X/Y flow classifier, is based on a cut-through ratio. Proposed schemes are shown to minimize the number of labels, not degrading the total cut-through ratio.

  • Wind turbines, in the case of less than rated wind speed, is controlled to achieve maximum power. MPC(Maximun Power Control) method, by controlling the rotational speed of the generator, is a method to achieve maximum power but should know the wind speed. However, for several reasons, there have been proposed methods of estimating the wind speed rather than measuring wind speed. TSR(Tip Speed Ratio) is needed to know to estimate the wind speed. However, a complex interaction formula has to be solved to find a TSR. Therefore, many methods have been suggested to solve a complex interaction formula. In this paper, the new method has been proposed to simplify the complicated interaction formula by using the regression method. Matlab/Simulink is used to simulate and to verify the proposed method.

  • Sauces are various combination of ingredients mixed together, usually cooked, and in some stage of liquidity. Sauces are used to enhance the flavor of food dishes and to hold ingredients together while a food dish is being cooked. A cooked sauce is combination of a fat, thickener, and liquid. The degree of thickness of the sauce will vary with the proportions of the ingredients. the gelling characteristics of the thickener, and the length of the cooking time. The purpose of this study was to investigate the sensory properties and viscosity of a medium Bechamel sauce differing from cooking methods and ratio of raw materials. Objective evaluation was done by viscometer and line spread chart. Sensory evaluation was done by a panel of 8 judges majoring in food and nutrition. Viscosity of Bechamel sauce was decreased by increasing the amount of milk. Spreadability was increased by increasing the amount of milk, Vice versa. As a result of the sensory evaluation for Bechamel sauce made with various levels of milk, Bechamel sauce having mixture ratio of 1 butter, 1 flour, and 17 milk was the most preferable. Sauteing onion with butter was the most desirable method.

ABS Ratio Estimation Considering the Number of UEs in CRE Regions for LTE-A Heterogeneous Networks (LTE-A 기반 이종 네트워크에서 CRE 영역내 단말들의 수를 고려한 ABS 비율 산출 방법)

  • The CRE (Cell Range Expansion) that selects the small cell with more efficient uplink resources has been developed by 3GPP to relieve the problem of the traffic imbalance due to the power differences between macro and small cells in HetNet. In addition, ABS (Almost Blank Subframes) has been proposed to resolve the signal interference problem due to the operation CREs. This paper proposes an effective method to calculate the ABS ratio by considering the proportion of the number of UEs in CRE and macro cell ranges, as well as the number of small cells in a macro cell. The proposed method has been implemented on the LTESim simulator, and compared with previously proposed methods. The experimental results show that the proposed method can improve the throughput and packet loss ratio performances. In particular, it is also shown that CRE bias values affect those performances, and there exist effective CRE bias values to derive the best performances.

A Study on the Postprocessing In Keyword Spotting (Keyword spotting에서의 후처리 과정에 관한 연구)

  • Keyword spotting 이란 음성인식의 한 분야로서 컴퓨터가 사람의 음성을 입력받아 이 음성에 미리 정해진 특정단어 또는복수개의 단어들 중 어느 것이 포함되어 있는지의 여부를 찾아내고 이 단어를 식별해 내는 작업을 의미한다. 이러한 keyword spotting 시스템의 인식 오류들을 감소시키는 방법의 하나로 keyword spotting 시스템에 후처리 과정을 둠으로써 잘못 검출된 keyword 들을 제거시키는 방법이 사용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 keyword로 검출된 영역에 대한 keyword 모델의 likeihood와 그 여역에 대한 filler 모델의 likelihood의 ratio 와 second best keyword 의 likelihood 그리고, 끝점존재 영역의 구간 길이등 여러 가지 정보를 이용한 후처리과정을 검토하고 인식실험을 통해 이들의 성능을 비교하였다. 6개의 부서명을 keyword로 하는 불특정 화자 keyword spotting 실험을 수행한 결과 baseline 시스템의 경우 고립단어 및 문장 형태의 음성에 대해 95.0%의 keyword 인식률을 얻었으며, 본 논문에서 검토된 네 가지 후처리 방법에 의해 keyword rejection ratio를 0%에서 5%까지 변화시켜 나갈 경우 최저 95.3%에서 최고 97.1%까지 keyword 인식률이 향상된 결과를 얻었다. 특히 성능과 계산량을 종합적으로 고려할 때 끝점 존재 영역의 구간 길이 정보를 이용한 방법이 가장 우수하였다.

  • 반짝이는 특성의 물체에 대해 이미지를 기반으로 색을 추출하는 경우 반짝이는 특성을 포함하면서 내재되어 있는 색 특성을 표현하기 위해 색 곡선(color line)을 이용한다. 이 경우 추출하려는 색이 왜곡되지 않은 가장 적합한 이미지를 선정하는 방법이 필요하다. 이를 위해서 실감모델링을 위해 색 곡선을 기반으로 색을 추출하는 방법을 제시하고 제시된 방법을 위해 색을 추출하기 가장 적합한 이미지를 선정하는 기준을 색포화율(color saturation ratio)을 통해 제안한다. 색포화율이란 색을 구성하는 요소 중에서 최소한 하나 이상의 색이 포화된 픽셀들을 최대 색거리를 가진 픽셀들로 간주하여 계산된 색거리의 총합에 대해 최소한 하나 이상의 색이 포화된 픽셀들의 색거리 총합의 비율를 의미한다. 이상적으로 이 비율이 최소가 되면 하이라이트를 제외한 어떤 픽셀도 포화되지 않기 때문에 반짝이는 특성을 가진 물체의 색을 추출하기 위해 촬영된 이미지는 하이라이트를 제외한 모든 색이 왜곡되지 않은 가장 적합한 이미지가 생성된다. 또한, 이렇게 선정된 이미지에서 추출된 색의 효율성을 보이기 위해 색 공간과 이미지 상에서 다양한 형태의 응용 결과를 제시하였다.

Discharge Coefficient of flow through Gate piers (수문을 통한 흐름의 유량계수 분석)

  • This study was aimed to determine a discharge coefficient of flow through gate piers. The coefficient was Calbrated with water stage data observed during 1984 to 1987 at the Young San Estuary Dam. The coefficient is the function of the dimensionless parameters combined with the difference between up and down stream water level to down stream water depth ratio and water surface draw down ratio. From the verification with existing methods and actual drainages, drainages predicted by the relationship have the most consistency with the actual drainages, also Matthai's method can be used within the proposed condition originally.
