업무용 건물의 용도 및 운전 기간별 에너지 소비 특성 연구 (A Study on the Energy Consumption Characteristics for Use and Operation Period in Office Buildings)

  • The purpose of this study is to calculate the energy consumption rate based on data regarding energy use in office buildings, and to confirm the general characteristics of energy consumption. The energy consumption rate of the building is calculated by dividing the energy consumption by the floor area. The energy consumption rate of small-sized office buildings was calculated as $101.48{\sim}201.55kWh/m^2{\cdot}year$ and in the case of medium-sized buildings, the range was $92.77{\sim}177.89kWh/m^2{\cdot}year$. In the case of small buildings, it was found that the energy consumption was $73.24kWh/m^2{\cdot}year$ in electronic device, $34.31kWh/m^2{\cdot}year$ in hot water supply, and $18.37kWh/m^2{\cdot}year$ in heating. In the case of medium-sized buildings, electronic devices was $73.08kWh/m^2{\cdot}year$, lighting was $18.35kWh/m^2{\cdot}year$ and heating, $15.37kWh/m^2{\cdot}year$. In all of the study buildings, the peak heating energy use was observed from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m during the winter, and the peak power management was required. Energy use at and around the midnight hour is confirmed to be 40~60% of weekly working hours, so it is necessary to manage power use at night time as well as during the day. In order to improve the accuracy of future studies, it is necessary to make efforts to secure the data with standardized energy measuring units for the various type of buildings.

무선 통신 시스템의 전력 모델을 이용한 비트당 최소 에너지 (Minimum Energy Per Bit by Power Model in the Wireless Transceiver System)

  • 본 논문은 RF power model과 주파수 대역의 특성을 이용한 비트 당 에너지와 전송량과의 관계를 시스템 대역폭의 변화에 따라 분석한 논문이다. 기존에 제안된 RF power model은 각각의 디바이스의 소모 전력을 수식적으로 표현한 것이다. 이 전력 모델에 고려된 요소는 시스템의 전송 대역과 PAR, 데이터 전송량, 변조 레벨, 전송, 전송 거리 등이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 영향을 고려하여 RF power model과 주파수 대역의 특성을 이용한 비트당 에너지와 전송량의 관계를 시스템 대역폭의 변화에 따라 분석하였다. Shannon capacity 공식과 신호의 SNR에 대한 식, 그리고 RF power model의 소모 전력을 이용하여 해당 주파수에서의 소모 전력을 구하고, Gbps급 데이터 속도에 따른 비트 당 에너지의 최소 값을 찾기 위한 시뮬레이션을 진행하였다.

원자력 발전소의 일차 냉각수 정화를 위한 전기탈이온법의 기초연구 (A Study on Electrodeionization for Purification of Primary Coolant of a Nuclear Power Plant)

  • 현재 경수로형 원자력발전소의 일차계통 냉각수 정화를 위해 사용되는 이온교환방법은 제염효과가 우수하고 공정이 단순하며 조작이 간편하기 때문에 광범위하게 활용되고 있으나 비금속성분도 함께 제거하여 수지의 수명이 단축되고 폐이온교환수지가 발생되는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 일차계통 냉각수 정화를 위해 사용되는 이온교환수지의 대체공정으로서 전기투석과 이온교환이 결합된 전기탈이온법의 사용가능성을 조사하기 위해 모의 용액을 이용하여 다양한 실험조건하에서 수행하였다. 실험결과 유입유량이 증가할수록 제거율은 증가하고 전력소모는 감소하였다. 금속성분 제거율에서 제염계수 1000으로 일정한 경향을 나타내었으며 전력소모 면에서는 TDS 3 ppm이하를 기준으로 유입유량이 $2.0{\ell}/min$일 때 $40.3mWh/{\ell}$ 이었다. 유입유속이 동일한 조건에서는 희석실에 채운 이온 교환수지의 함량이 증가할수록 금속성분 제거율과 전력소모에서 효과적인 것으로 평가되었다. 이온 교환수지를 채운 전기탈이온 공정은 이온교환수지 자체에 의한 수리적 저항과 현탁질에 의한 수지의 오염으로 인해 운전이 계속될수록 유량이 감소하게 된다. 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위해 이온교환수지 대신 이온전도성 스페이서를 설치하여 실험한 결과 유입유량 문제는 해결할 수 있었으나 전력소모와 금속성분 제거율 및 전류효율 면에서 비효율적인 것으로 평가되었다. 전기탈이온 공정의 연속운전에서도 금속성분 제거율에서 제염계수가 1000으로 안정적인 수준을 유지하였다.

  • 본 논문은 하드디스크와 NAND 플래시메모리를 동시에 사용하는 저장 시스템 환경에서 전력 소모를 최소화하는 버퍼 캐쉬 관리 기법을 제안한다. 저장장치별 전력 소모율과 입출력 연산 종류(읽기 또는 쓰기) 및 블록의 재참조 가능성(최근성 및 빈도)을 통합적으로 고려하는 버퍼 캐쉬 관리 기법의 설계로 저장 시스템의 전력 소모량을 평균 18.0%, 최대 58.9%까지 줄일 수 있음을 보인다.

  • Hybrid electric propulsion systems (H-EPSs) are an intermediate step for integrated full electric propulsion warships. H-EPSs are a dynamic combination of mechanical and electrical propulsion systems to achieve the required mission performances. The system modes could adapt to meet the requirement of the various operation conditions of a warship. This paper presents a configuration and operating modes of H-EPSs considering the operation conditions of a destroyer class warship. The system has three propulsion modes, namely, motoring mode, generating mode [power take off (PTO) mode], and mechanical mode. The PTO mode requires a careful fuel efficiency analysis because the fuel consumption rate of propulsion engines may be low compared with the generator's engines depending on the loading power. Therefore, the calculation of fuel consumption according to the operating modes is performed in this study. Although the economics of the PTO mode depends on system cases, it has an advantage in that it ensures the reliability of electric power in case of blackout or minimum generator operation.

Development for Life Assessment System for Pipes of Thermal Power Plants

  • The high-temperature steam pipes of thermal power plants are subjected to severe conditions such as creep and fatigue due to the power plant frequently being started up and shut down. To prevent critical pipes from serious damage and possible failure, inspection methods such as computational analysis and online piping displacement monitoring have been developed. However, these methods are limited in that they cannot determine the life consumption rate of a critical pipe precisely. Therefore, we set out to develop a life assessment system, based on a three-dimensional piping displacement monitoring system, which is capable of evaluating the life consumption rate of a critical pipe. This system was installed at the "M" thermal power plant in Malaysia, and was shown to operate well in practice. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the increase safety of piping systems by minimizing stress and extending the actual life of critical piping.

  • $CO_2$ emission regulation will be prescribed and main issue in automotive industry. Mostly, vehicle's fuel efficiency deeply related to $CO_2$ emission is regulated by qualified driving test cycle by using chassis dynamometer and exhaust gas analyser. But, real driving fuel consumption rate depends so much on the individual usage profile and where it is being driven: city traffic, road conditions. In this study, vehicle model of fuel consumption rate for ICEV and PHEV was developed through co-simulation with CRUISE model and Simulink based on driving control model. The simulation results of fuel consumption rate were analysed with on-road vehicle data and compared with its official level.

한국 RE100 기업의 자가소비 태양광 발전 경제적 비율 분석 (Self-Consumption Solar PV Economic Rate Analysis for RE100 Companies in Korea)

  • Efforts are being made to respond to global warming. Interest in and demand for the private sector-led RE100 campaign is also increasing. Self-built solar power generation, one of the implementation tools for RE100, is not expanding. However, it can be an economical means of implementation in the long run. In this study, we intend to analyze the impact on the optimal ratio of self-solar power generation using HOMER simulation. OPR defines the optimal solar power generation ratio and looks into what changes there are in the optimal solar power ratio when self-power consumption increases and external power purchase price changes. As a result, the optimal rate of self-solar power generation has a low impact even if self-power consumption increases. As the external power unit price increases, the optimal ratio increases, and at a power unit price of 100 KRW/kWh, OPR is 24%; at 200 KRW/kWh OPR is 31%; and at 300 KRW/kWh OPR is 34%. This shows that the electricity price replaced during the life cycle has a high impact on the economic feasibility of solar power generation. However, when the external power unit price reached a certain level, the increase in OPR decreased. This shows that it is difficult for domestic companies to achieve RE100 based on the economic feasibility of solar energy alone. Therefore, efforts are needed to supply renewable energy in the public sector.

저층수 흡입식 광역 순환장치의 설계변수에 따른 배출량 및 소비동력 변화 특성에 대한 수치 해석 연구 (Numerical Analysis on Changes in Flowrate of Draft Water and Power by Changing Design Parameters of a Long-Distance Water Circulation)

  • A draft tube which has impeller to elevate bottom water and spread it over surface of lake water, induces convective circulation of lake water, a Long-Distance Circulation (LDC). Circulation of lake water make stratified water mixed and enhance DO (Dissolved Oxygen) of bottom water. Circulation rate of water is determined by draft rate of the tube, which is dependent on design parameters of the draft tube system, i. e. dimension of impeller and diffuser, inclined angle of impeller, impeller shape, and rotational speed. In this study, change in draft rate and power consumption of circulation equipment was investigated numerically with changing impeller dimension, angle and rotational speed. It was found that flowrate of draft water was increased as the dimensions of draft tube and impeller, and rotational speed and inclined angle of impeller increased. The power consumption was also elevated with increasing parameter values, and final selection of parameter values was made to satisfy target flowrates and power consumption.

복합다용도 수용가의 전력소비특성 분석 및 전기요금 산정프로그램 개발 (A Study on the Program for Estimation of Electric Rates and the Analysis for Power Consumption in Complex Consumer)

  • Together with housings, general buildings and industrial facilities, multi-purpose complexes are equipped with various and special equipment. They are often used by many unspecified people, which causes an increase in annual electricity consumption. Because of this, a great amount of money has been spent for electric charge, far more in excess of the budget, so a reasonable electricity rate needs to be estimated. In this study, we surveyed the power consumption, average power use, and annual electricity bill of multi-purpose complexes in the past five years. To see the general tendency of the survey, we conducted a statistical analysis with such parameters as average, maximum, and minimum values. Through regression analysis, we could see the trend of the survey in linear way. Based on the survey, we have developed an electric-rate calculation program to estimate the next year's budget on electricity.
