The supersonic impinging jet has been extensively applied to rocket launching system, gas jet cutting control, gas turbine blade cooling, etc. In such applications, wall temperature of an object on which supersonic jet impinges is a very important factor to determine the performance and life of the device. However, wall temperature data of supersonic impinging jets are not enough to data. The present study describes an experimental work to measure the wall temperatures of a vertical flat plate on which supersonic, dual, coaxial jet impinges. An Infrared camera is employed to measure the wall temperature distribution on the impinging plate. The pressure ratio of the jet is varied to obtain the supersonic jets in the range of over-expanded to moderately under-expanded conditions at the exit of coaxial nozzle. The distance between the coaxial nozzle and the flat plate was also varied. The coaxial jet flows are visualized using a Shadow optical method. The results show that the wall temperature distribution of the impinging plate is strongly dependent on the jet pressure ratio and the distance between the nozzle and plate.

Implantation of metals and ceramics with ions of nitrogen and other species has improved surface properties such as friction, wear and corrosion in numerous industrial applications. In recent years, PCB drills tend to be more minimized increasingly as the electronics components have been more highly accumulated and minimized. Therefore nitrogen ion implantation was performed onto PCB drill (0.15 & 0.3 mm in diameter), in order to investigate mechanical properties of WC-Co cermets surface through Nano-indentation tests. PCB drill was implanted at energy of 70 keV, 90 keV, 120 keV and with the dose range of $1{\times}10^{17}$ and $5{\times}10^{17}\;ions/cm^{2}$. After ion implantation, WC-Co PCB drill bits was tested in actual operating situation to apply cutting tools industry and is concluded that the life time of nitrogen ion implanted PCB drills is one and a half times longer than the unimplanted.
To improve maintenance, environmental issues, efficiency, and economics to supplement the current air braking problems, braking power related to the entire driving range of electric brakes was presented in all areas from stop to high speed. As a result, the efficiency of braking power and cutting-edge technology have expanded energy use, and through this paper, noise in all driving ranges can be reduced, and maintenance costs can be reduced. The traction motor must bring the variable speed of the traction motor and the terminal voltage of the traction motor to drive high-speed driving characteristics that control the maximum voltage of the inverter. Therefore, we studied driving and brake changes through simulation.
Although colonoscopy was originally a diagnostic imaging procedure, it has now expanded to include an increasing range of therapeutic interventions. These procedures require precise maneuvers of instruments, execution of force, efficient transmission of force from the operator to the point of application, and sufficient dexterity in the mobilization of endoscopic surgical instruments. The conventional endoscope is not designed to support technically demanding endoscopic procedures. In case of colonoscopy, the tortuous anatomy of the colon makes inserting, moving, and orientating the endoscope difficult. Exerting excessive pressure can cause looping of the endoscope, pain to the patient, and even perforation of the colon. To mitigate the technical constraints, numerous technically enhanced systems have been developed to enable better control of instruments and precise delivery of force in the execution of surgical tasks such as apposing, grasping, traction, counter-traction, and cutting of tissues. Among the recent developments are highly dexterous robotic master and slave systems, computer-assisted or robotically enhanced conventional endoscopes, and autonomously driven locomotion devices that can effortlessly traverse the colon. Developments in endoscopic instrumentations have overcome technical barriers and opened new horizons for further advancements in therapeutic interventions. This review describes examples of some of these systems in the context of their applications to advanced therapeutic colonoscopy.
A variety of composite materials are applied to industries for the realization of light weight and high strength. Fiber-reinforced composites have different strength and range of application depending on the weaving method. The mechanical performance of CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) in many areas has already been demonstrated. Recently, the application of hybridization has been increasing in order to give a compensation for brittleness of CFRP. Target materials are UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), which has excellent cutting and chemical resistance, so it is applied not only to industrial safety products but also to places that lining performance is expected for household appliances. In this study, the CFRP and UHMWPE of plain weave, which are highly applicable to curved products, were molded into laminated hybrid composite materials by autoclave method. The mechanical properties and the mode I failure behavior between the layers were evaluated. The energy release rate G has decreased as the initial crack length ratio increased.
The government of Vladimir Putin, which has been ruling Russia for a long period since 2000, has recently strived for the balanced development of underdeveloped regions and sustainable economic growth. Therefore, along with energy development in the Far East and Siberian regions, the government is promoting development projects on logistics and distribution infrastructure. It is also expanding the construction of innovative districts to develop cutting-edge technologies in the outskirts of Moscow. Amid these moves, South Korea is pushing for the New Northern Policy aimed at widening economic cooperation with European and North Asian countries to expand the scope and influence of the country's trade market. The previous year of 2020, marked the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Russia. In this context, this study was initiated to propose various measures for promoting economic cooperation and expanding trade between South Korea and Russia. Therefore, this study examined Russia's political and economic environment and explored its major industrial environment with a focus on the energy industry, innovative districts and infra facility. The study also examined the progress of a FTA between the Eurasian Economic Union, in which Russia currently takes the lead, and South Korea and recommended several measures to upgrade and accelerate economic cooperation between the two countries through research on a range of topics.
The aim of this paper was to review the biomechanics of knife injuries, including those that occur during stabbing rampages. In knife stab attacks, axial force and energy were found to be 1,885 N and 69 J, respectively. The mean velocity of a stabbing motion has been reported to range from 5 to 10 m/sec, with knife motions occurring between 0.62 and 1.07 seconds. This speed appears to surpass the defensive capabilities of unarmed, ordinarily trained law enforcement officers. Therefore, it is advisable to maintain a minimum distance of more than an arm's length from an individual visibly armed with a knife. In training for knife defense, particularly in preparation for close-quarter knife attacks, this timing should be kept in mind. Self-inflicted stab wounds exhibited a higher proportion of wounds to the neck and abdomen than assault wounds. Injuries from assault wounds presented a higher Injury Severity Score, but more procedures were performed on self-inflicted stab wounds. Wound characteristics are not different between nonsuicidal self-injury and suicidal self-wrist cutting injuries. Consequently, trauma surgeons cannot determine a patient's suicidal intent based solely on the characteristics of the wound. In Korea, percent of usage of lethal weapon is increasing. In violence as well as murders, the most frequently used weapon is knife. In the crimes using knife, 4.8% of victims are killed. Therefore, the provision of prehospital care by an emergency medical technician is crucial.
A current sensor is one of important component which is used for the electrical current measurement during charge and discharge of the battery, and monitoring system of the motor controller in the electric and hybrid vehicle. In this study, we have developed an open loop type current sensor using GaAs Hall sensor and magnetic core has an air gap. The Hall sensor detect magnetic field produced by the current to be measured. The 3 mm air gap core was made by HGO electrical steel sheets after slitting, winding, annealing, molding, and cutting. Developed current sensor shows 0.03 % linearity within DC current range from -400 A to +400 A. Operating temperature range was extended to the range of $-40{\sim}105^{\circ}C$ using temperature compensating electronic circuit. To Improve frequency bandwidth limit due to the air flux of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and Hall sensor, We employed an air flux compensating loop near Hall sensor or on PCB. Frequency bandwidth of the sensor was 100 kHz when we applied sine wave current of $40A{\cdot}turn$ in the frequency range from 100 Hz to 100 kHz. For the dynamic response time measurement, 5 kHz square wave current of $40A{\cdot}turn$ was applied to the sensor. Response time was calculated time reach to 90 % of saturation value and smaller than $2{\mu}s$.

This study was Conducted to find out and determine effects of the drum speeds on grain losses. The grain loss was quantified in terms of recovery rates of rice grains after treatments. Samples of each of all treatments were taken from the grain sampling plate placed in the grain conveyor of threshers. The grain sample plate was specially provided for this experiment. The brown-rice, milling, and head-rice recJveries were tes ted in the laboratory mill, respectively. Two rice varieties, Akibare and Suweon 251, each with five levels of different moist\ulcornerure contents at harvest and six levels of different drum speeds of threshers, were selected and used for treatments in this experiment. Two conditions of materials were tested in the thresher. One condition was to thresh the experimental material immediately after cutting, referred to as the wet-material thr eshing in this study. The other was to thresh the experimental :material, dried to contain about 15-16 percent of the grain moisture under the shocking operation. This is referred to as the dry-material threshing in this study. In additioon, field measurements for the grain moistures and drum-sdeeds under actual operation practices of the traditional field threshing, were conducted with a view to comparing with results of the experimental treatments. The results of the study may be summarized as follows: 1. For threshing treatments of Japonica-type rice variety (Akibare) , the effect of drum speeds and levels of grain moisture at cutting upon brown-rice, milling, and head-rice recoveries were found statistically significant. No significant difference in these recovery rates was noticed regardless of whether the material was threshed right after cutting or after drying by the shocking operation. 2. For the Tongil-sister rice variety(Suweon 251), milling recovery for the varied drum-speed and the grain~moisture level at cutting was found statististically significant. Th milling recovery was much significant when associated with the wet-material thres\ulcornerhing compared to the dry-material threshing. 3. The optimum peripheral velocity to be maintained at the edge of teeth on the thr\ulcorneresher drum was determined and may be recommanded as that of about 12 to 13 meters per second in view of the maximum recovery rate of the milled rice. 4. The effect of the drum speed on the qualitative loss of the milled rice was much greater in the case of the Tongil variety than Japonica. This effect was also greater by the wet-material threshing than by the dry-material threshing. Therefore, to apply the wet-material threshing operation for the Tongil variety, in particular, it should be very important to introduce the kind of threshing technology which would maintain the drum speed at optimum. 5. A field survey for the actual drum speed of threshing operations for 50 threshers indicated that average peripheral velccity was 12.76m/sec., and that the range was from 10.50 to 14.90m/sec. Approximately, more than 30% of the experimented and measured threshers were being operated at speeds which exceeded the optimum speed determined and assessed in this study. Accordingly, it should be highly desirable and important to take counter-measures against these threshing practices of operational overspeed.
