국내 9기 석조문화재의 생물오염피복도 및 기중조류 군집 (The Community of Aerial Algae and the Biological Pollution Coverage at 9 Stone Cultural Heritages in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 2008년 6월에서 11월까지 국내 9기의 석조문화재를 대상으로 색에 따른 오염등급의 평가와 생물오염피복도를 조사하였다. 생물오염피복도는 홍천물걸리삼층석탑, 수타사삼층석탑 및 수타사홍우당부도에서 90% 정도로 나타났으며, 선태류의 생물오염피복도가 15~23%의 범위로 생물오염이 가장 심한 것으로 나타났다. 색에 따른 생물오염등급은 괘석리사사자삼층석탑, 수타사삼층석탑, 수타사홍우당부도가 등급 5로 오염등급이 가장 높았으며, 여주창리삼층석탑이 등급 2로 양호하게 나타났다. 상관분석 결과 생물오염등급과 지의류의 생물오염피복도는 높은 상관성(r=0.91)을 나타냈지만, 기중조류와 선태류의 생물피복도와는 상관성은 낮게 나타나 이에 대한 보완이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 각 출현종과 생물오염피복도(선태류, 지의류, 기중조류)의 상관분석결과 선태류의 생물피복도와 Cosmarium decedens, Chlorella ellipsoidea, Anabaena fertilissima, Botryococcus braunii, Chroococcus turgidus, Navicula cryptocephala 및 Xenococcus acervatus가 상관계수 0.56~085의 범위로 높은 상관성을 나타냈다. 지의류의 생물피복도는 Trebouxia sp. 및 Chroococcus varius와 상관계수 0.50 및 0.43으로 나타났으며, 기중조류의 생물오염피복도는 Achnanthes laterostrata 및 Ulothrix zonata와 상관계수 0.76 및 0.57의 상관성을 나타냈다. 생물오염피복도와 상관성이 높은 기중조류는 출현 경향성이 대체로 뚜렷하게 나타나, 지표종으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이라 판단된다.

크리깅 메타모델에서 전역 모델에 따른 상관계수의 연구 (A study of the correlation coefficients with respect to the degrees of the global models in the kriging metamodel)

  • Design analysis and computer experiments (DACE) model is widely used to express efficiently the nonlinear responses in the field of engineering design. Kriging model, a DACE model, can approximately replace a simulation model that is very expensive or highly nonlinear. The kriging model is composed of the summation of a global model and a local model representing deviation from global model. The local model is determined by correlation coefficient of the pre-sampled points, where determination of the correct correlation coefficient has an effect on accuracy and robustness of the kriging model. Therefore, robustness of the correlation coefficient is explored with respect to degrees of the global model. Then we propose the range of correlation coefficient to make correct and robust kriging model and the influence of the correlation coefficients on the degrees of global model with respect to the nonlinearity of the pre-sampled responses.

Simulations of Two-Dimensional Electronic Correlation Spectra

  • Two-dimensional (2D) correlation method, which generates the synchronous and the asynchronous 2D spectrum by complex cross correlation of the Fourier transformed spectra, is an analysis method for the changes of the sample spectrum induced by vari ous perturbations. In the present work, the 2D electronic correlation spectra have been simulated for the cases where the sample spectrum composed of two gaussian bands changes linearly. When only the band amplitudes of the sample spectrum change, the synchronous spectrum shows strong peaks at the band centers of the sample spectrum, but the asynchronous spectrum does not make peaks. When the sample spectrum shifts without changing intensity and width, the synchronous spectrum shows peaks around the initial and final positions of the band maximum and the asynchronous spectrum shows long peaks spanning the shifting range. The band width change produces the complex 2D correlation spectra. When the sample spectrum shifts with band broadening, the width change by 50% of full width at half maximum (FWHM) does not give so large an effect on the correlation spectrum as the spectral shift by one half of FWHM of the sample spectrum.

Fast Quadtree Based Normalized Cross Correlation Method for Fractal Video Compression using FFT

  • In order to achieve fast computational speed with good visual quality of output video, we propose a frequency domain based new fractal video compression scheme. Normalized cross correlation is used to find the structural self similar domain block for the input range block. To increase the searching speed, cross correlation is implemented in the frequency domain using FFT with one computational operation for all the domain blocks instead of individual block wise calculations. The encoding time is further minimized by applying rotation and reflection DFT properties to the IFFT of zero padded range blocks. The energy of overlap small size domain blocks is pre-computed for the entire reference frame and retaining the energies of the overlapped search window portion of previous adjacent block. Quadtree decompositions are obtained by using domain block motion compensated prediction error as a threshold to control the further partitions of the block. It provides a better level of adaption to the scene contents than fixed block size approach. The result shows that, on average, the proposed method can raise the encoding speed by 48.8 % and 90 % higher than NHEXS and CPM/NCIM algorithms respectively. The compression ratio and PSNR of the proposed method is increased by 15.41 and 0.89 dB higher than that of NHEXS on average. For low bit rate videos, the proposed algorithm achieve the high compression ratio above 120 with more than 31 dB PSNR.

Measurement of Cloud Velocity and Altitude Using Lidar's Range Detection and Digital Image Correlation

  • Clouds play an important role in climate change, in the prediction of local weather, and also in aviation safety when instrument assisted flying is unavailable. Presently, various ground-based instruments used for the measurements of the cloud base height or velocity. Lidar techniques are powerful and have many applications in climate studies, including the clouds' temperature measurement, the aerosol particle properties, etc. Otherwise, it is very circumscribed in cloud velocity measurements because there is no Doppler effect if the clouds move in the perpendicular direction to the laser beam path of Doppler lidar. In this paper, we present a method for the measurement of cloud velocity using lidar's range detection and DIC (Digital Image Correlation) system to overcome the disadvantage of Doppler lidar. The lidar system acquires the distance to the cloud, and the cloud images are tracked using the developed fast correlation algorithm of DIC. We acquired the velocities of clouds using the calculated distance and DIC algorithm. The measurement values had a linear distribution.

레이더 펄스 압축 신호의 최적 탐색 알고리즘 개발 및 최적 코드에 관한 연구 (Optimal Radar Pulse Compression Processing Algorithm and the Resulting Optimal Codes for Pulse Compressed Signals)

  • 현대의 레이더 펄스 압축기술로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 방식은 바커코드를 사용하여 matched filter로 레이더 신호를 처리하는 상관처리(correlation processing)이다. 그러나 이 방식의 경우 탐지 감도를 높여 주는 장점이 있지만, 환경에 따라서 range-sidelobe가 발생하여 레이더의 성능을 낮추게 된다. 본 논문에서는 상관처리방식에 추가적인 처리로 sidelobe를 제거하는 최적처리 방법을 제안하고 Doppler shift가 존재할 때의 성능을 평가한다. 그리고 제안된 알고리즘 환경에서 최적의 이진 코드를 개발하고 이를 Barker 코드를 사용한 전통적인 상관처리방식의 경우와 비교.분석한다. 도플러 변이가 존재할 때, 최적 코드를 사용하여 최적 처리하는 방식이 바커코드를 사용한 전통적인 처리방법보다 레이더의 성능을 향상시킴을 보여줄 것이다.

Comparison of Two Methods for Heparin Sensitivity; Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time Assay using in vitro Heparin-spiked Sample and Anti-Xa Assay using in vivo Heparin-treated Sample

  • The monitoring of heparin therapy is using almost aPTT assay. This study is compare to estimating aPTT therapeutic range using in vitro heparin-spiked sample and aPTT therapeutic range using in vivo heparin-treated sample. Normal pooled plasma was collected from 20 healthy representative individuals. 11 concentration of heparinized plasmas from 0 U/mL to 1.0 U/mL at intervals of 0.1 U/mL made by addition of heparin to normal pooled plasma were measured aPTT. The aPTT therapeutic range was performed through correlation analysis between heparin level 0.2 to 0.4 U/mL and aPTT. 30 plasmas from patients on heparin therapy were measured aPTT and anti-Xa activity. The aPTT therapeutic range was performed through correlation analysis between anti-Xa activity 0.3 to 0.7 U/mL and aPTT. The aPTT therapeutic range corresponded by heparin level-vs-aPTT value regression analysis was 60.7 to 102.4 seconds. The aPTT therapeutic range corresponded by anti-Xa activity-vs-aPTT value regression analysis was 85.3 to 147.5 seconds. The validation of heparin sensitivity using in-vitro heparin sample was not considered. The establishing aPTT therapeutic range is recommended anti-Xa activity using in-vivo sample.

Sarmanov형 이변량 일반화이항모형의 적합 (Fitting Bivariate Generalized Binomial Models of the Sarmanov Type)

  • 급내/급간상관이 동시에 존재하는 이변량 이항자료에 대한 모형으로 Danaher과 Hardie (2005)는 베타이항분포를 제안한바 있다. 그러나 이 모형은 베타분포에 따르는 성공확률을 통해 급내 상관을 묘사하므로 그 적용범위가 양의 급내상관을 가지는 자료에 제한된다. 이 연구에서는 보다 더 넓은 범위의 급내 상관에 대해 유용성을 가지는 일반화가법/승법이항모형과 확장베타이항모형 등에 Sarmanov형식의 이변량 확장을 고려하고 이들을 기존 모형과 적합도의 측면에서 비교한다. 실제자료인 주식자료와 소비자패널자료에 이변량 일반화이항모형들을 적용한 결과, B-mB와 B-ebB의 성능이 우수한 것으로 나타나며, 그 중 상대적으로 넓은 허용범위의 급내상관을 가지는 B-mB가 선호된다고 할 수 있다.

Dielectric Study of Allyl Chloride with 2-Pentanone and 2-Hexanone in Microwave Frequency Range

  • Dielectric measurement on binary mixtures of Allyl chloride (ALC) with 2-Pentanone (2-PE) and 2-Hexanone (2-HE) has been carried out over the entire concentration range using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technique at various temperatures in microwave frequency range of 10 MHz to 10 GHz. The static dielectric constant, excess static dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}^E_S$), effective Kirkwood correlation factor ($g^{eff}$) of binary mixtures over entire concentration range were determined to study the effect of increasing alkyl group of ketones on hetero molecular interaction. It was found that magnitude of excess static dielectric constant of mixtures increases with increase of alky group of ketones. The study reveals that the dipole moment of Allyl chloride in mixture have antiparallelism tendency where as 2-pentanone and 2-hexanone have parallelism tendency. Excess static dielectric constant is also fitted to Redlich-Kister equation to get information about rates of multimers formation.

Relationships among Lower Extremity Muscle Circumference, Proprioception, ROM, Muscle Strength, and Balance Control Ability in Young Adults

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between balance control ability and leg circumference, proprioception, range of motion (ROM), and muscle strength in young adults. Methods: The subjects of this study were 30 university students who were enrolled in D university in Gyeongbuk province. We measured the dynamic balance and static balance using the Biorescue. The muscular strengths of the hip, knee, and ankle joints were measured using a muscle contraction dynamometer. The ROM and proprioception were measured using an inclinometer. Pearson correlation analysis was used to test the correlations between balance control ability and variables. Results: Sway length was significantly correlated with knee and hip joint muscle strength, ROM, and proprioception of hip and ankle joints (p<0.05). Sway speed was significantly correlated with ROM and proprioception in hip joints (p<0.05). Limit of stability was significantly correlated with muscle strength and ROM in ankle joints, and proprioception in hip, knee, and ankle joints (p<0.05). Conclusion: The sway length was most related to hip extension and ankle joint plantar flexion in the range of motion and ankle joint plantar flexion in proprioception. Overall, balance training for young adults will be of effective help if the treatment focuses on the knee and hip joints, range of motion and the ankle and hip joints' proprioception.
