강우시 단속류 포화교통류율 변화 분석 (Analysis of Saturation Flow Rate on Interrupted Flow During Rainfall)

  • 우리나라는 지리적으로 중위도 온대성 기후대에 해당하며, 초여름부터 초가을까지 집중호우가 발생한다. 집중호우는 도로의 용량 및 서비스 수준에 직접적인 영향을 미치며, 이에 대한 분석의 필요성이 대두되었다. 본 연구는 신호교차로에서의 강우에 따른 포화교통류율 변화를 측정하여 강우가 도로용량에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 영상자료를 구축하였고, 영상의 프레임분석을 시행하여 차두간격을 조사하였으며, 조사된 결과를 바탕으로 포화교통류율을 산정하였다. 분석결과에 따르면 일반적인 기상상황에 비해 강우상황에는 포화차두시간이 증가하는 것을 확인하였으며 시간당 강우량이 증가함에 따라 포화교통류율이 점차 감소하는 것을 통계적으로 검정하였다. 통계적 검정 결과 일정 시간당 강우량 범위 내에서는 포화교통류율의 변화가 크지 않으므로 각 시간당 강우량의 범위에 따라 세 영역으로 분류하였으며 각 영역에 따라 포화교통류율은 약 7%, 17%, 21% 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The stability analysis of unsaturated infinite slope under rainfall-induced infiltration condition was performed using the generalized effective stress that unifies both saturated and unsaturated condition recently proposed by Lu and Likos(2004, 2006). The Soil-Water Characteristic Curve (SWCC) of the sand with the relative density of 75% was first measured for both drying and wetting processes. The Hydraulic Conductivity Function (HCF) and Suction Stress Characteristic Curve (SSCC) were subsequently estimated. Also, under the rainfall-induced infiltration condition transient seepage analysis of unsaturated infinite slope was performed using the finite element program, SEEP/W. Based on these results, the stability of unsaturated infinite slope under rainfall-induced infiltration condition was examined considering the suction stress. According to the results, the negative pore water pressure and water content within the soil changed with time due to the infiltration. Also, the variation of those caused the variation of suction stress and then the factor of safety of slope changed consequently during the rainfall period.

The model to predict hydrologic performance for SSHP plants is used in this study. The results from analysis for rainfall conditions based on Weibull distribution show that the capacity and load factor of SSHP site had large difference between the variation of shape and scale parameter. Especially, the hydrologic performance of SSHP site due to variation of shape parameter varied more sensitive than the case of variation of scale parameter. And also, the methodology represented in this study can be used to decide the primary design specifications of SSHP sites.

The model to predict hydrologic performance for SSHP plants is used in this study. The results from analysis far rainfall conditions based on KIER model show that the capacity and load factor of SSHP site had large difference between the period. Especially, the hydrologic performance of SSHP site due to rainfall condition of recent period varied in design flowrate sensitively. However climate change gave small effect in load factor of existing SSHP plant. And also, the methodology represented in this study can be used to decide the primary design specifications of SSHP sites.

수질오염총량관리 관거월류부하 변화에 따른 배출부하량 산정방법 (Estimation of Discharge Load due to Combined Sewer Overflows in the Management of Total Maximum Daily Loads)

  • The quantity of a discharge load can change with changes in rainfall in the area with a combined sewer system (CSS). To evaluate the implementation appropriately in the management of total maximum daily loads (TMDLs), the effects of rainfall changes should be considered in the estimation of the discharge load. The rainfall condition for the estimation of the discharge load in a certain year should be standardized to the same rainfall condition as that of the reference year. However, the calculation process is very complicated with its potential limitations. This study investigated and developed relatively simple methods for estimating the discharge load. Load conversion method (LCM) is designed to convert the discharge load under the current rainfall condition into that of the reference rainfall conditions. Simple rainfall data method (SRDM) is to simplify the estimation process of the discharge load by the simple conversion of rainfall data. These methods were applied to calculate the discharge load and examine the estimation results. From the results of this study the application of these methods may be useful for estimating the discharge load in the TMDL process.

  • Infiltration of rainfall causes railway embankment to be unstable and may result in failure. Basic relationship between the rainfall and stability of railway embankment are defined to analyze the stability of embankment by rainfall. An experimental study for defining of infiltration rate of rainfall into slope is conducted in the lab. The results of Rainfall infiltration show that rainfall infiltration is not equal to infiltration as like reservoir because rate of rainfall infiltration is controlled by slope angle. Based on these results, boundary condition of rainfall is altered and various numerical analysis are performed. The variation of shear strength, the degree of saturation and pore-water pressure for railway slope during rainfall can be predicted and the safety factor of railway slope can be expressed as the function of rainfall amount, namely rainfall index. Therefore, it is judged that this rainfall index can be a good tool for the rail-transport operation control.

  • The correlation between hydrologic performance design parameters of small hydro power(SHP) sites and rainfall condition have been analyzed for major river systems. The model, which can predict flow duration characteristic of stream, was developed to estimate the inflow caused from rainfall. And another model to predict hydrologic performance for SHP plants is established. Based on the models developed in this study, the hydrologic performance characteristics for SHP sites have been analyzed. The results show that the hydrologic performance characteristics of SHP sites have some difference between the river systems. Especially, the specific design flowrate and specific output of SHP sites located on North Han river and Nakdong river systems have large difference compared with other river systems. It was found that the hydrologic performance design parameters such as specific design flowrate and specific output were affected by rainfall condition in basin area of SHP sites.
