  • The risk of facilities in catenary is increasing because the railway section extension and high-speed train service. And visual check of workforce is not enough time to maintain the extensive railway facilities. Accordingly, The technical development trend of maintenance of railway facilities can be seen by automation and application of IT technology, especially the mechanization work and the information technology are spreading in the maintenance work of the train line solved by manpower. In this paper, we describe the method by obtaining the cantilever image using acquisition device and pole inspection system in high speed vehicle, to check the variation of the cantilever component using image processing.

철도분야 시험기술 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Test Technology Analysis for Railway System)

  • 현재 전동차뿐만 아니라 고속철도, 경량전철에 대한 수요가 늘어나면서 안전하고 쾌적한 철도에 대한 요구가 점차 늘어나고 있다. 이러한 흐름에 맞추어 제작된 철도시스템에 대한 성능을 평가하는 기술이 더욱 중요하게 부각되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 철도분야 시험기술에 대한 특허분석을 통해, 국내외 기술동향을 세부적으로 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 1990년 이후에 한국, 유럽, 미국 등에 출원된 특허를 대상으로 Thomson Innovation DB를 통해 분석을 수행하였다. 먼저, 구성품시험, 완성차시험, 본선시운전시험으로 기술을 분류하였다. 특허분석을 통해 철도분야 시험기술에 대한 기술동향을 파악하여 과거부터 현재에 이르기까지 기술발전이 어떻게 이루어져왔는지를 검토하였다. 또한, 국가별 및 주요출원인별 분석을 통해 어떤 국가, 어떤 출원인이 활발하게 기술개발을 진행하고 있는지를 알아보았다. 그리고, 시장확보지수와 영향력지수에 대한 분석을 통해 시험기술과 관련하여 기술력을 확보하고 있는 국가를 살펴보았다. 이와 같은 분석을 통해, 본 연구에서는 철도분야와 관련된 시험기술 동향을 정확하게 파악할 수 있었다.

  • KTX Railway rolling stock wheel run its course to corrode, deteriorate and wear away through out the time. So it is natural that the performance and ability of wheel gets declined. The frequency characteristic analysis were accomplished to above trend and shock wave flow to wheels were examined. The result will be used to find Railway rolling stock wheel crack and maintenance method hereafter.

  • According to the computerization of railway signalling system, necessity of communication protocol for interface between these equipments is increasing. Therefore the research on communication protocol structure that is required according to computerization trend of these signalling goes. In our research the existed protocol currently used was analyzed, and the simulation modeling for performance analysis is deduced. Based on this simulation model the performance analysis and comparison is carried out, and also validation test is executed about new designed protocol.

  • Reliability means that a product maintains its initial quality and performance at certain period of time(time, distance, cycle etc) under given condition without failure. Given conditions include both environmental condition and operating condition. Environmental condition means common natural environment such as temperature, humidity, vibration, and working condition means artificial environment such as voltage, current load, install place, hours of use, which occurs during using the product. In the field of railway vehicles, although components of railway vehicles with reliability are the trend of mandatory as persisting period of railway vehicles is extended, using components of railway vehicles is insufficient for the practical reliability assessment. but the meaning of the first railway operating agency to acquire the parts in the field, the data suggest the reliability of products if you can and can show the reliability of modular units and modular units can provide the reliability of if you can present reliability of the entire system is thought to be here In this study, lifespan of micro-switch for master controller is analyzed and prediction is performed based on its field data considering the special circumstances of railway vehicles operating agency, such as a large number of trains operates on the same line.

현장측정을 통한 분기기 망간 크로싱의 피로수명 평가 (Fatigue Life Evaluation for Railway Turnout Crossing using the Field Test)

  • The major objective of this study is to investigate the fatigue life evaluation of immovability crossing for railway turnout by the field test. In railway engineering, an appliance is necessary to allow a vehicle to move from one track to another. This appliance came to be known technically as turnout. So, turnout is required very complex railway technologies such as rolling stock, track. Due to the plan under the application of high speed train, turnout are needed more stable far fatigue behaviors. It analyzed the mechanical behaviors of turnout crossing with propose its advanced technical type on the field test and fatigue evaluation far the dynamic fatigue characteristics. As a result, the advanced type crossing are obviously effective for the fatigue damage ratio and dynamic response which is non-modified type. The analytical and experimental study are carried out to investigate the passing path of contact surface and fatigue damage trend decrease dynamic stresses and deflections on advanced crossing type, And the advanced type reduce dynamic fatigue damage ratio and increase fatigue life(about each 38%) more than non-modified type. From the field test results of the servicing turnout crossing, it is evaluated that the modification of contact angle, weight, material and sectional properties is very effective fur ensure against fatigue risks.
