SDU 장치를 이용한 Slip/Slide 제어방안 (Using SDU Slip/Slide Control)

  • The paper is to perceive accurately speed of the train through redundant processor operation. When Slip/slide is occurred at the axle, the train is applied brake force using the Tachometer and the Doppler sensor which assistance equipment. One of the main features of railway signaling system is that rolling stock is made stop to avoid collision with the rolling stock ahead when the rolling stock exceeds its maximum operating speed in line. In addition, in the case of the rolling stock with automatic train operation, it carries out activities such as braking and propulsion using the difference between its actual speed and target speed at the point. To perform these functions, it is essential to calculate the exact speed of the rolling stock in signaling equipment on vehicles. Train speed detection unit are composed of the Tachometer and the Doppler sensor, and speed information is sent to the SDU unit. The processor of SDU unit calculates the speed of the train using compare logic the received speed information. Even if there are Slip/Slide, signaling system is available to apply exact braking, to improve stop on position and to guarantee the safety of trains.

  • In this paper, we propose a stereo vision based monitoring concept for passenger's safety on railroad platform. In general, basic concept of stereo image processing technique uses the correlations between left and right images, and extracts additional distance information. It provides easy removal of ambient illumination changes, which has been difficult to achieve with conventional 2D based image processing technique. In the paper, we present developed stereo camera and stereo vision based detection algorithm in order to monitor possible accidents at platform area, and verified the detection performance of proposed system with experimental results.

  • 도심지의 공간을 대부분 차지하고 있는 건물의 높이는 지상의 기준점으로 부터의 상대적인 수직거리로 산정하여 3차원의 정보이다. 그러나 지형도의 등고선으로는 알 수 없는 높이이므로 도심지의 스카이 라인이나 건물의 높이 등은 지도에 누락되어 실제적으로 도시계획과 공간 정보를 구축하기 위하여 별도의 측량을 실시하여야 한다. LIDAR는 레이저 스캐너를 항공기에 장착하여 레이저 펄스를 지표면에 주사하고 반사된 레이저 펄스의 도달 시간을 관측함으로써 반사 지점의 공간위치 좌표를 계산해 지표면에 대한 정보를 추출하는 측량기법으로 최근 새로운 지형정보 획득수단으로 부각되고 있다. 이러한 레이저 스캐닝은 센서와 지표면까지의 거리 및 방향을 관측하여 지표면 상의 표고점에 대한 3차원 좌표를 결정한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도심공간의 빌딩 및 지형지물에 관한 고밀도의 LiDAR 데이터를 수집하여 건물 중심을 설정하여 건물경계를 추출하여 3차원의 도심 빌딩을 보다 정확하게 생성할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • In the system necessary for safety such as the train control system, to make train control information be sent correctly is very important to enable organic movement between trains. In the case of the system such as RF-CBTC (Radio Frequency Communication Based Train Control) the control related information is sent through wireless transmission between on-board system of a train and wayside transmitter. The wayside transmitter collects the running information such as location, velocity from the on-board system and operates the optimizing control by sending the control information such as the target, limited velocity to the on-board system. But, when the communication disconnect or train failure, the critical hazard such as train collision or derailment may be possible because the RF-CBTC depends on the information through wireless communication. This paper discribes of performing Fall-Back system to detect train position in the case of rail break or communication failure to avoid train accident and allows train to be operated safely. It can be implemented with ATP function through track circuits using active-type transformers and axle counters, and allows train to be operated manually in emergency status.

  • Due to the industrialization and urbanization, the transport of hazardous materials increases, which rises possibilities in occurring prospective accidents in terms of hazardous material transport as well. This study applied the model developed from the previous research to analyze the scale of damage areas from the accidents related to hazardous material accidents, as well as suggested a method to measure automatically the scale of accident including casualties and environmental damage based on the guideline which suggests the quantities of hazardous materials exposed from an accident and was defined in the study of standardization for hazardous material classification. A buffering analysis technique of Geographic Information System (GIS) was applied for that. To apply the model which evaluates the scale of population and exposure to environment on each link, rail network, zones, rail accident data, rail freight trips, and locations of rivers etc were complied as a database for GIS analysis. In conclusion, a method to measure damage areas by the types of hazardous materials was introduced using a Clip and a Special Join technique for overlay analysis.

  • 기존 전동차 제어시스템의 경우에는 종합제어장치를 통하여 차량 내의 각종 정보를 운전자 화면에 현시하여 운전자가 차량의 상태를 감시하도록 구성되어 있다. 그러나 차량고장 등과 같이 갑작스런 사고가 발생할 경우에는 운전자가 당황하여 정확한 고장조치를 하기 어려운 것이 현실이다. 또한 제동제어기 및 보조전원장치 등 주요장치들의 제어정보를 분석하기 위하여 차량이 기지에 입고되고 난 후에 유지보수원이 현장에서 일일이 수동으로 데이터를 저장하는 매우 비효율적인 유지보수시스템으로 운영되고 있다. 이러한 점을 개선하기 위해서는 차량 내에 센서통신네트워크 및 감시시스템을 설치하여 차량 내의 모든 정보를 실시간으로 송수신하는 시스템을 구축하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 시스템 구축을 위하여 전동차 제어 및 감시시스템의 표준화 방안을 제시함으로써, 이를 통해 차량시스템의 안전성을 향상하고 유지보수를 보다 효율적으로 개선하고자 한다.

도시철도 방송시스템 표준화를 위한 현황분석 및 표준화 방향 제안 (A Study on Standardization Scheme and Analysis for Urban Rail Transit Broadcasting System)

  • It is expected that standardization framework for urban rail transit system will contribute to more convenient and safe traffic service and ensure higher reliability and availability of urban rail transit rolling stock and infrastructure. Since 1995, Korea Railroad Research Institute has been performing the project for standardization and development of urban rail transit technology to improve performance, safety and operational efficiency. Communication system in urban rail transit consists of various subsystems, such as radio communication system, digital transmission system, integrated monitoring system and broadcasting system and its standardization will be implemented based on these subsystem. Broadcasting system is to provide information related to operation and emergency to passengers and operators. In this paper, we suggest standardization scheme for urban rail transit broadcasting system through analysis on present state of the system.

  • 동작 특성에 따라 궤도회로 장치는 신호기 장치, 선로전환기 및 기타 안전과 관련된 장치의 직접 또는 간접 제어를 위해 설치되며, 주로 열차의 검지, 지상에서 차상으로 제어정보 전송, 궤도 깨짐 검지 및 귀선 전류 전송에 사용된다. 특히 귀선 전류는 신호시스템, 전력시스템 및 전차선 및 궤도회로장치와 관련이 있다. 신호시스템에서 가장 중요한 구성 요소 중 하나인 귀선 전류는 선로변 유지보수자의 안전 및 전철화에 따른 철도 관련 전기시스템의 보호를 위해 적합하게 처리되어야 한다. 따라서, 과전류 상태로 인한 귀선 전류 불평형과 시스템 유도 장애 및 고장을 방지하기 위해서는 귀선 전류의 정확한 분석이 필요하다. 또한, 귀선전류 고조파에 의해 오동작이 발생하면 열차 운행 중단 등의 문제가 발생될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 귀선 전류 측정 및 분석 방법을 제시하고 고속열차 운행에 따른 호남고속철도 노선에서의 귀선전류 고조파 시험 결과를 제시하고 있다.

  • MRT has various surveillance systems for passenger's safety and facility protection which are consisted of fire detection, trespasser observation and so on. However, these systems are not closely related each other because it is designed just for its own purpose, so it could be make wrong decision to surveillance system without important information to determine an accident or disaster. For more accurate event detection, surveillance system needs total situation-aware method using complementary data. This study introduces context-aware system for complex and accurate event detection. Therefore, we apply context-aware system to MRT surveillance system, selecting context-aware parameters and appling them to it.

  • An operating information and fault recode of train is very important information for safety driving and maintenance. And these information is increased and need high speed as the number of trains is increased. Wireless LAN or CDMA network is efficient to report more complicated and various information from vehicle to server in control center. Existing wireless transmission system has weakness due to transmission system is separated with TDCS and standalone. At first, standalone system needs space to be installed and cost is increased. And data transmission capacity and speed is limited by complicated structure that transmission system receive data thru serial communication like RS232 and then data transmission system send data to server in control center. This article is study to develop embedded & wireless fault code transmission device to be installed in TDCS to overcome weakness of space and to have more cost effective and simple structure. It is adapted 802.11b/g WiFi for wireless communication and OS is used embedded Linux that can easily implement wireless communication environment and ensure TCP/IP communication’s security. We also implement simple server to test wireless communication between embedded & wireless fault code transmission device and server in control center.
