우리나라의 철도운송 분담율은 매년 6%를 유지하고 있으나 철도물류에 대한 지속적인 투자 및 물류 합리화 여부에 따라 철도물류는 상반된 결과를 가져올 것이다. 철도물류의 발전에 크게 기여할 것으로 예상되는 남북철도 뿐만 아니라 철도물류에 대한 연구가 상당히 미흡한 상황에서 철도 물류기지의 수요예측, 규모를 예측하고, 물류기지를 통한 남북철도 활성화 방안을 연구하고자 하였다. 철도 물류기지를 통한 남북철도의 활성화 방안으로서 첫째, 물류기지에서 취급하는 석탄 수요자와의 파트너쉽을 강화하여야 하며, 둘째, 강릉에서 제진까지 동해 북부선의 건설이 필요할 뿐만 아니라 노후화된 북측 선로의 유지보수에 필요한 재정적 지원이 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 장·단거리 운송 및 대형 화주에 대한 철도운임을 탄력적으로 적용할 필요가 있으며, 넷째, 해외 광산개발 참여 등을 통하여 철도 운송권을 확보하여야 하고, 다섯째, 양회사와 같은 소형 화주를 지속적으로 발굴하여야 한다.

Recently, as mega-urbanization progresses, urban logistics centered on large cities is growing rapidly, and logistics transportation is increasing due to the lack of logistics infrastructure and the operation of a delivery system using cargo trucks in the city center. being cited as a cause. In order to solve this problem, domestic researchers are conducting research on the development of " Urban Underground railway Logistics System" that minimizes the initial infrastructure construction cost by utilizing the existing urban railway facilities in the city. Therefore, this paper analyzed the usage environment of the actual urban railway station to which the system will be applied in order to derive candidates for the test bed selection of "Urban Underground railway Logistics System". The evaluation criteria for test bed candidate role selection were established, and the candidate group derived from the Brown & Gibson model was used to evaluate the candidate group and derive the candidate role. A review of the results was conducted to contribute to the establishment of a test bed for the " Urban Underground railway Logistics System" under development.

Recently, as change in global logistics environment, various issues have been presenting. These issues are including the pursuit of low cost-high added value, the realization of sustainable logistics system, the protection of environment, and the development of ubiquitous techniques. To cope with these environment changes and improve the national logistics system, the government have carried out various logistics policies and pushed ahead development of national logistics information network. But still, from a view-point of national logistics, there are several inefficient elements such as information connection and utilization, code/data standardization. In this paper, the survey result of global logistics environment change, logistics policy of a developed countries, domestic logistics policy and information system status will be presented. And from these status, suggestive points are mentioned. Finally the status of railway logistics information and future developments are presented.

The integration of nanoparticles into various industries has spurred interest in understanding their impact on logistics and transportation systems. In this study, we investigate the effect of nanoparticles on the economic aspects of railway logistics transport using a mathematical model. By incorporating factors such as transportation costs, time efficiency, and environmental considerations, we aim to assess the overall economic feasibility of integrating nanoparticles into railway logistics operations. Through mathematical modeling and analysis, we explore how the introduction of nanoparticles affects cost-benefit analyses, resource allocation, and decision-making processes within railway logistics. Our findings provide valuable insights into the economic implications of nanoparticle integration in railway transport, offering potential strategies for optimizing logistics operations and enhancing overall efficiency and sustainability.

The government have plans to improve the railway transport capacity and transport hub for the sustainable national transport and logistics system. Specially, there are much efforts to improve transportation capacity such as high speed transportation of rail freight, enlargement of BT train, development of double stack train, etc. between railway transport hubs. If the transport capacity between railway logistics hubs is increased as planned, we must increase the handling capacity of railway hub terminals. But there are limits to enlarge the terminal infrastructure because of investment scale, location circumstances and urban development plans. To ensure the capacity, with the minimum required enlargement of infrastructure, it is necessary to extremely increase the efficiency of terminal operations. For improving the efficiency, we have to introduce the efficient terminal operation systems based on u-IT and operation optimize technologies. In this paper, we analyse the issues and problems of railway terminals(including ICD) and suggest the concept of intelligent railway terminal and the construction components of technology.

물류공동화는 운송부분에서의 공동화로 시작되어 최근에는 배송과 보관 등 물류의 전 분야에서 도입되고 있으며, 물류공동화에 의한 효율성은 여러 형태로 입증되고 있어 많은 부분에서 물류공동화를 적극적으로 도입하고 있다. 그러나 현재 추진 또는 시행되고 있는 물류공동화는 도로를 중심으로 공동간선수송, 공동배송, 공동보관 등이 시행되고 있는 실정이다. 또한 국가주도의 물류단지에서의 공동화와 민간부분에서의 공동화가 활발히 시행되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 환경 친화적인 수송수단으로 부각되고 있는 철도부분에서의 물류공동화 도입방안에 대하여 검토하였다. 기존 철도분야에서의 물류공동화 사례 분석 등을 시행하고, 향후 철도에서 물류공동화 도입이 가능한 분야들 중 간선수송에서의 공동화뿐만 아니라 철도역에서의 보관, 배송부문에서의 물류공동화 도입 방안 등에 대하여 검토를 시행하고 도입방안을 제시하였다.

Purpose: This study attempts to analyze the current status of the railway logistics business and to seek ways to improve it by using the business model as an analytical framework. It was intended to reflect practical implications that could be applied to the field, by dealing with issues at the industrial site related to each component in the business model. Research design, data and methodology: This study was conducted through literature review and field research. We analyzed academic papers and industrial reports on the development of the railway logistics industry and interviewed various stakeholders in the railway logistics industry. Results: This study determined the factors that could be eliminated, raised, reduced, or created from the customer and product perspective, infrastructure management perspective, and financial perspective. Conclusions: The growth of existing business can be achieved by lowering service prices, improving service quality, and securing large-scale transportation capacity. The additional transportation of high value goods and cold chain commodities will be promising business opportunities. Existing services can be provided to new customers (large pre-shippers, forwarding customers, etc.) in order to increase the size of sales Urban delivery services and comprehensive logistics services based on complex logistics centers may open an avenue for new market. A more timetable and track capacity need to be assigned to logistics, which significantly improve the flexibility and the competency of railway logistics.

Even though we usually analyze logistic market based on confined railway logistics, but this study would like to judge what is potential demand transferable to railway goods through accurate analysis of railway sharing rates by the analysis of origin and destination of each item in total freight transportation market. Accordingly, by analyzing each items transferable to railway, excluding items stuck to original market, this study wants to choose some major items which are expected to lasting demand and activate railway logistics plan by focusing on major items for marketing strategy.

It is very important to delivery timely and safely items in logistics. So, the home delivery service system is introduced by many enterprises. Also, the beginning in 1990's, the rapid increase of automobile increased logistics cost and led to road stagnation. So, the railway transportation use in logistics can be considered. The railway transportation in home delivery service system can overcome the limit of transportation by land. This study evaluate railway transportation in home delivery service system by economical efficiency and timeliness.
