우리나라 철도산업의 생산특성과 효율성에 관하여 충분히 검토된 양질의 정보가 축적되기 위해서는 다양한 각도에서 다양한 방법으로 검토가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 거리함수를 이용한 우리나라 철도산업의 생산특성 및 기술효율성 분석결과를 제시한다. Shephard(1953)가 처음 소개한 거리함수는 가격에 관한 정보를 필요로 하지 않는다. 따라서 가격에 관한 자료를 구하기 어렵거나 또는 공공부문의 경우처럼 가격에 대한 통제가 존재하는 상황에서 효과적인 분석수단이 될 수 있다. 또한 다수투입 다수산출 생산기술을 다룰 수 있으며 생산특성과 효율성을 동시에 분석할 수 있는 장점을 갖고 있다. 한국철도의 1963년부터 2004년까지의 연도별 자료로부터 이차계획법모형을 사용하여 거리함수를 추정하였다. 추정된 기술효율성은 1980년 이후 2004년까지 점진적으로 개선되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 간접 Morishima대체탄력성 추정결과는 노동을 다른 투입으로 대체하는 것이 매우 어렵거나 또는 불가능한 것으로 나타났다. 평균 규모탄력성은 2.7로 나타났으며 이는 규모를 1%증가시켰을 때 산출이 2.7%증가함을 의미한다. 즉 한국철도에 규모의 경제가 존재함을 의미한다.

Examining the market orientation and learning orientaiton and these relationship with business performance has received considerable interest in the last decade. Despite these interest, our understanding of the structure of both market orientation and learning orientaion and the mechanism of those effect on business performance is apparently limited in figuring out the railroad industry in Korea. The purpose of this research was to conceptualize and measure the organizational culture dimension from the integrative framework of market orientation and learning orientation, and to analyze its relationship with business performance in the railroad industry. The findings from this research are such as follows; market orientation is a set of three interrelated components, i.e., customer orientation, competitor orientation, and inter-functional coordination. This finding is similar to that of Narver and Slater(1990; 1994) who conceptualized market-oriented culture as a combined set of those 3 components. Learning-oriented culture also has a significant positive effect on business performance. The research findings suggest that both market orientation and learning orientation do exist as different organizational culture dimensions to acquire the sustainable competitive advantage in the railroad industry.

Recently it is required to present a new goal and direction regarding a railroad industrial informatization in order to respond to external change of environment along sharp development technical information communication (ICT), establish a strategic plan for o establish a strategic plan for harmonious developments of private and public sector through harmonious developments of private and public sector and efficient investments on an railroad industrial informatization. An analysis of the railroad industry for R&D investments has been insufficient whereas there are lots of analysis of accumulation of technology, economic performances and ripple effects for macroscopic view and other industry of R&D investments. This study decided intellectual rights, patent, and paper as common indicators of scientific and technological performances for setting up performance targets through surveying and analysis of preceding study and verified a appropriateness of scientific and technological performances for railroad R&D 11 projects which were successfully finished. Preceding study has been set up performance targets by research investments as input, but this study made a performance target by model through a cross-sectional and residual analysis of performances of railroad R&D 11 Projects in applying research investments, capital investments, inner labor cost and inner labor cost per man and research time as inputs, and verified a validity and a empirical analysis through analysis of other project.

To enhance the application of the reinforced retaining walls in the railway industry, this paper suggested a type of reinforcement subgrade with short reinforcement and rigid facing. To become popular the reinforced retaining walls in the industry, the deformation of retaining walls should be controlled below some limited level. In this paper, small scale and full scale tests of the proposed retaining walls were performed and their deformation characteristics were evaluated. Even though it has short reinforcement, the rigid type retaining wall had small deformation to the external train loading than the segmental type retaining wall had.

본 연구에서는 경부고속철도 수익관리시스템 구축방안 연구의 일환으로 철도에 수익관리기법을 도입의 타당성과 그 효과를 검토하기 위하여 현재의 철도에서 사용되고 있는 예약체계, 운임체계 및 좌석할당 방법을 분석하였다. 지금까지 널리 사용되고 있는 여러 가지 수익관리기법을 적용하기 위한 조건을 제시하였으며, 예약실적자료를 사용하여 그 효과를 계산하였다.

In this study, it is going to improve basic thought continuously about railroad industry service quality. So, it studies connection between main factor about service quality and customer satisfaction for KTX railroad industry also general railroad service quality problems. To make clear, first of all, it could understand element structure through hunting factor analysis, and then, it has statistical test in conclusive factor analysis. Finally, it would be show successful service quality direction that is result of analyzing between all ingredients of KORAIL industry service quality and causality of customer satisfaction to apply ideal point.

FMEA(Failure Mode and Effects)분석 기법이란 제품의 신뢰성을 높이기 위해, 잠재적 고장 모드를 선별하고 이의 고장 원인과 영향을 분석하여 고장이 제품에 미치는 영향을 최소화하기 위한 분석기법이다. 최근 FMEA기법이 많은 산업 분야에서 널리 쓰이고 있으며, 각 분야별로 그에 알맞게 특화된 FMEA기법이 제안되어 있다. 대표적으로 방산 분야의 MIL-1629a, 자동차 분야의 SAE-J1739 등을 들 수 있으며, 그 외의 많은 산업분야에서도 특화된 FMEA규격을 사용하고 있다. 하지만 높은 신뢰성이 요구되는 철도 산업의 경우에는 아직까지 특화된 FMEA규격은 제시되어 있지 못한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 SAE-J1739,MIL-1629a, IEC-60812의 규격을 비교 분석함으로써 철도 시스템에 특화된 FMEA규격을 제안하였다.

Life cycle costing is one of the most effective approaches for the cost analysis of long-term life products, like as railroad vehicle. Life cycle costing includes the cost of concept design, development, manufacture, operating, maintenance and disposal. Especially, life cycle costing in the railroad industry has been focused on the maintenance cost. In this paper, we investigated the standard, guide and maintenance information of railroad vehicle. For this purpose, we suggested the unique templates of railroad vehicle maintenance information. We also performed maintenance cost analysis on the some sub-system of railroad vehicle for the case study.
