양형 IMS 모듈 튜블러 샤프트의 스플라인 가공 개선 (Improvement of Tubular Shaft Yoke Spline Machining in Both Side IMS Module)

  • The objective of this study is to solve a problem that is occurred during the spline machining of tubular shaft yoke in both side IMS module. In order to simulate the problem, the movement direction of upper die was set as standard case and error case. The material of tubular shaft yoke was set to S20C as refer to the analysis library. The movement directions of upper die were separated with standard case and error case. The error case was set to simulate the problem in the spline machining of tubular shaft yoke. In order to solve the problem, the outer radius of upper die were modelled from 9.40mm to 9.44mm. The simulation results were analyzed and compared in terms of effective stress, metal flow line and folding phenomena characteristics. In case of the outer radius of upper die was 9.42mm, it was observed a relatively uniform effective stress distribution and had a straight metal flow line.

취학전 어린이들의 안광학 성분 측정 및 상관성 분석 (Study of the Correlation and Ocular Components in Preschool Children)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 유치원생들을 대상으로 안광학 성분 값들과 굴절이상도 간의 상관성을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 대상자는 안질환이 없는 유치원생 80안으로 하였다. 굴절검사, 각막굴절력, 각막곡률반경, 안축장, 전방깊이를 검사하고 분석 하였다. 안축장과 각막 굴절력사이에서 가장 높은 상관성을 보였다(r=-0.674, p=0.000). 키, 몸무게, 안축장(AL)/각막곡률반경(CR)비가 안축장과 양의 상관성을 보였다(r=0.351, r=0.408, r=0.488). 굴절이상과 각막굴절력은 안축장과 음의 상관성을 보였다(r=-0.302, r=-0.674). 전방깊이, 각막굴절력은 AL/CR 비와 양의 상관성을 보였다(r=0.422, r=0.280). 굴절이상, 각막곡률반경은 AL/CR 비와 음의 상관성을 보였다(r=-0.448, r=-0.396). 결론: 취학 전 어린들에 있어서 눈의 굴절이상을 진단하는데 AL/CR 비가 매우 중요한 지표임을 알 수 있었다.

A Semi-empirical Equation for Activity Coefficients of Ions with One Parameter

  • Based on the Debye-H$\ddot{u}$ckel equation, a semi-empirical equation for activity coefficients was derived through empirical and theoretical trial and error efforts. The obtained equation included two parameters: the proportional factor and the effective radius of an ionic sphere. These parameters were used in the empirical and regression parameter fitting of the calculated values to the experimental results. The activity coefficients calculated from the equation agreed with the data. Transforming to a semi-empirical form, the equation was expressed with one parameter, the ion radius. The ion radius, ${\alpha}$, was divided into three parameters, ${\alpha}_{cation}$, ${\alpha}_{anion}$ and ${\delta}_{cation}$, representing parameters for the cation, anion and combination, respectively. The advantage of this equation is the ability to propose a semi-empirical equation that can easily determine the activity coefficient with just one parameter, so the equation is expected to be used more widely in actual industry applications.

DGPS를 이용한 농용트랙터 선회반경 측정 시스템 개발 (Development of a Turning Radius Measurement System using DGPS for Agricultural Tractors)

  • This study was carried out to develop turning radius measuring method and device of using a DGPS speed sensor for agricultural tractors. The measurement system consisted of a DGPS speed sensor, a data acquisition device, a touch panel, a photo sensor, a radio modem and a notebook computer. Three methods were developed: average of turning speed-time method, integral of turning speed-time method, and speed-heading angular velocity method. Best method was average of turning speed-time method which could be used with a maximum error 2.7 cm.

가변스트레치성형 설계변수와 성형오차의 상관관계에 대한 통계적 연구 (Statistical Study on Correlation Between Design Variable and Shape Error in Flexible Stretch Forming)

  • A flexible stretch forming process is useful for small quantity batch production because various shape changes of the flexible die can be achieved conveniently. In this study, the design variables, namely, the punch size, curvature radius and elastic pad thickness, were quantitatively evaluated to understand their influence on sheet formability using statistical methods such as the correlation and regression analyses. Forming simulations were designed and conducted by a three-way factorial design to obtain numerical values of a shape error. Linear relationships between the design variables and the shape error resulted from the Pearson correlation analysis. Subsequently, a regression analysis was also conducted between the design variables and the shape error. A regression equation was derived and used in the flexible die design stage to estimate the shape error.

  • This paper describes an application step of a $R^{-{\theta}}$ method which measures circular movements in machining centers. The detection of composite errors of circular movements and a high precision cutting method in machining centers were investigated by the analysis of data measured by $R^{\theta }$method which can detect the rotating angle and is applicable to variable measuring radius. When the error by squareness error and unbalance of position-loop-gain were mixed, the detection method of each error was proposed. Although the errors by squarenss error and backlash compensation were mixed, the errors by squareness error be detected. If the errors by unbalance of position-loop-gain and backlash compensation were mixed, the errors by unbalance of position-loop-gain could not detected. A high precision cutting mehod, which uses the NC program compensated by using feed-back data from error measured by the $R^{\theta }$method, was proposed.

  • In this paper, a methodology to assess machine tool errors quickly is suggested using a touch probe and a cube array artifact. Parameterized error models derived are expressed of model coefficient vectors and backlash errors to be determined. To determine the unknown model coefficient vectors, a cube array artifact is proposed. Considering CMM measurement data of cube vertex coordinates. error vectors for all axes ate obtained and used to complete the error model. Some simulation results show that the suggested error model can follow the true values within 10$\mu\textrm{m}$. To verify the error model, a circular part with two concentric circles is measured and simulated. The results show that the differences between CMM and OMM radius errors are smaller than 15$\mu\textrm{m}$.

  • Generally, the accuracy of motion control systems is strongly influenced by both the mechanical characteristics and servo characteristics of feed drive systems. In the fed drive systems of machine tools that consist of mechanical parts and electrical parts, a torsional vibration is often generated because of its elastic elements in torque transmission. Especially, a torsional vibration caused by the elasticity of mechanical elements might deteriorate the quick movement of system and lead to shorten the life time of the mechanical transmission elements. So it is necessary to analyze the electromechanical system mathematically to optimize the dynamic characteristics of the feed drive system. In this paper, based on the simplifies feed drive system model, radius errors due to position gain mismatch and servo response characteristic have been developed and an optimal criterion for tuning the gain of speed controller is discussed. The proportional and integral parameter gain of the feed drive controller are optimal design variables for the gain tuning of PI speed controller. Through the optimization problem formulation, both proportional and integral parameter are optimally tuned so as to compensate the radius errors by using the genetic algorithm. As a result, higher performance on circular profile tests has been achieved than the one with standard parameters.

Deformation prediction by a feed forward artificial neural network during mouse embryo micromanipulation

  • In this study, a neural network (NN) modeling approach has been used to predict the mechanical and geometrical behaviors of mouse embryo cells. Two NN models have been implemented. In the first NN model dimple depth (w), dimple radius (a) and radius of the semi-circular curved surface of the cell (R) were used as inputs of the model while indentation force (f) was considered as output. In the second NN model, indentation force (f), dimple radius (a) and radius of the semi-circular curved surface of the cell (R) were considered as inputs of the model and dimple depth was predicted as the output of the model. In addition, sensitivity analysis has been carried out to investigate the influence of the significance of input parameters on the mechanical behavior of mouse embryos. Experimental data deduced by Fl$\ddot{u}$ckiger (2004) were collected to obtain training and test data for the NN. The results of these investigations show that the correlation values of the test and training data sets are between 0.9988 and 1.0000, and are in good agreement with the experimental observations.

  • This paper is a study about motor technic of motion and feedforward control in order to shape cutting control on the machine tool. The shape error caused by delay of the servo system in the direction of radius at the time of circular cutting is reduced by feedforward control, shape error generated by the position command delay is minimized by using the acceleration/deceleration time constant after the interpolation. The study was verified to optimization of motion control on experiments of a vertical machining center of the machine tool.
