This paper describes characteristics for insertion losses of Isolator have an effect on material parameter. One purpose of the paper is to present insertion loss on this resonator for magnetic loss, dielectric loss, magnetic field and saturation magnetization. Another is to study the effect of propeller resonator on response characteristics. In this paper, the analysis and measurement of the response characteristics were carried out for the isolator prototype. The measurement results agreed on the simulation results and acquire insertion loss $0.18\;{\sim}\;0.24dB$, return loss 27dB, isolation 27dB and bandwidth 500MHz on this condition saturation magnetization 550G, dielectric loss 0.0004, magnetic loss 20 and dielectric constant 14.

Unlike commercial LTE network, LTE-R railway network is arranged along a railroad track and the base stations of the network (RUs) are also installed on the waysides. For urban railway systems that are composed of underground tunnels, the leakage coaxial cables are widely used due to the radio propagation characteristics in tunnels. In theory, the tunnel sections are interpreted as the waveguide with blank spaces and for this reason, the tunnel sections are expected to be better than open ground sections in terms of the radio propagation characteristics. In this paper, we analyze the radio propagation characteristics based on this theory by replacing the leakage coaxial cables in the network with Yagi antennas. The test has been carried out in the 2.2km tunnel in the Daebul test track of KORAIL with 2.6GHz LTE-R Network. The LTE-R applicability in urban railways has been tested through the analysis on the radio propagation characteristics with the unmanned train operation system in Daebul tunnel.

In this paper, propagation characteristics are analyzed under the Korean propagation condition based on the measurements for Ka-band beacon signal of COMET satellite which moves in non-geostationary orbit. Radio propagation characteristics varying as time, range, and elevation angle are presented also. As results, it is concluded that free space loss is a major parameter to the radio propagation characteristics varying as a range in clear sky. In addition, the effect of elevation angle is negligible because COMETS is observed above 40 degree.

Train radio system has been constructed in the second stage of Kyung-bu high speed railway adopting TETRA(Terrestial trunk radio) standard at 851MHz frequency band. The base stations of the train radio system should be located along railway track to ensure seamless communication between train and wayside taking the path loss of train radio propagation into consideration. This paper provides a quantitative analysis of the path loss characteristics based on the measurement results of the train radio propagation along the high speed railway. The free space propagation model and Okumura-Hata model are generally used for base station design, but they predicted 10dB lower or 20dB higher than the measured path loss. Linear regression of the field measured data by applying the log-distance model shows path loss exponent is in the 2.8-3.2 range, which can be used to predict the path loss of the train radio propagation.

Random access protocols feature inherent sensing functionality and distributed coordination, making them suitable for cognitive radio communication environments, where secondary users must detect the white space of the primary spectrum and utilize the idle primary spectrum efficiently without centralized control. These characteristics have led to the adoption of carrier-sensing-multiple-access/collision-avoidance (CSMA/CA) in cognitive radio. This paper proposes a new analytical framework for evaluating the performance of a CSMA/CA protocol that considers the characteristics of idle periods based on the primary traffic behavior in cognitive radio systems. In particular, the CSMA/CA-based secondary network was analyzed in the terms of idle period utilization, which is the average effective data transmission time portion in an idle period. The use of the idle period was maximized by taking its statistical features into consideration.
TX/RX dual microstrip 1$\times$8 sub-array antennas are designed, fabricated, and measured for a wideband array antennas in communications. They have a Right Handed Circular Polarization (RHCP) for TX from 7.9 to 8.4 GHz and Left Handed Circular Polarization (LHCP) for RX from 7.25 to 7.75 GHz. Two stacked patches are used for a wideband characteristics and cornertruncated square patches are adopted for a circular polarization. To enhance bandwidth characteristics of a circular polarization, 1$\times$2 sequential rotation arrays are applied. From the measured results, 1$\times$8 microstrip sub-array antennas have a good agreement with those of the simulation. Therefore the sub-array antennas are applicable to satellite communication antennas, active phased array antennas, and radiators in other antennas.
Using scaled models for an anatomical head model and a simple head model, we investigated the effects of head size on specific absorption rate characteristics for two mobile phones operating at 835 MHz and 1765 MHz. Our results showed that a larger head produced a higher localized SAR at 835 MHz. However, at 1765 MHz, the differences among the head models were insignificant since the superficial absorption was dominant over the effects of head shape and size. A larger head produced a lower whole-head averaged SAR at both frequencies.
Radio relics are diffuse radio sources found in the outskirts of galaxy clusters and they are thought to trace synchrotron-emitting relativistic electrons accelerated at shocks. We explore a diffusive shock acceleration (DSA) model for radio relics in which a spherical shock with the parameters relevant for the Sausage radio relic in cluster CIZA J2242.8+5301 impinges on a magnetized cloud containing fossil relativistic electrons. This model is expected to explain some observed characteristics of giant radio relics such as the relative rareness, uniform surface brightness along the length of thin arc-like radio structure, and spectral curvature in the integrated radio spectrum. We find that the observed surface brightness profile of the Sausage relic can be explained reasonably well by shocks with speed $u_s{\sim}3{\times}10^3km/s$ and sonic Mach number $M_s{\sim}3$. These shocks also produce curved radio spectra that steepen gradually over $(0.1-10){\nu}_{br}$ with a break frequency ${\nu}_{br}{\sim}1GHz$, if the duration of electron acceleration is ~60-80 Myr. However, the abrupt increase in the spectral index above ~1.5 GHz observed in the Sausage relic seems to indicate that additional physical processes, other than radiative losses, operate for electrons with the Lorentz factor, ${\gamma}_e$ > $10^4$.

In this paper, as a compatible software radio transmission system, Digital-Radio conversion system which can directly change the digital signal generated by the logic circuit into radio signal is proposed. By the vector synthesis method, the digital signals can change directly into radio signal. If such a circuit is realized, RF circuit and an antenna can be composed by the simple one device, and the radio is directly controlled and performed by the software processing which is the essence of software radio. This Digital-Radio conversion system of this paper give many number of communication channels being offered by PN code and offer a hardware design flexibility by digitization, therefore it decrease the percentage ratio of hardware of system and give a more flexible function of software basis. In this paper, the principle of digital to radio signal generation algorithm is explained and the performance characteristics of proposed algorithm is shown in time base by the computer simulation method.
The advantages of using analogue optical networks for delivering radio signals from a central location to many remote antenna sites have been recognized. In a telecommnications context, radio signals may be for fixed radio access, cordless or mobile networks, but the same principles apply. By making use of the high bandwidth, low loss characteristics of optical fiber, all high frequency and signal processing functions can be performed centrally and signals can then be transported over the optical network directly at the carrier frequency. The remote sites then become very simple, requiring only optoelectronic conversion, filtering and linear amplification. This shifting of the complex functionality away from the remote site allow cheap, reliable, small and light-weight radio access points with low power consumption to be deployed. In this paper, we show that an electroabsorption modulation(EAM) may be used as a single component in such a radio access point, as a passive transceiver for small-sized cell(picocells).
