500명 여성을 대상으로 한 팔강변증에 따른 맥파 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Pulse Waves according to Eight Principle Pattern Identification in 500 Women)

  • This study was conducted to find objective diagnostic indicators for the Eight Principle Pattern Identification using a pulse wave analyzer. Typology Complexion Pulse and Symptom data from 500 women over the age of 18 were used. Five experts made a diagnosis of Eight Principle Pattern Identification and divided the subjects into 'Yin-Yang', 'Exterior-Interior', 'Cold-Heat', 'Deficiency-Excess' groups. Their pulse waves were measured in the left and right radial arteries, and it was investigated whether there was a significant difference between groups in the pulse wave parameter values. 'Yin' group showed a significantly lower value in the left radial artery for Ener, Emin, EIX, T4T, T4TT parameters and in the Right for T2, T2T, T5. The Vmag, As and Ad parameters were significantly different between the 'Exterior' and 'Interior' groups. 'Heat' group showed a significantly higher value in the right radial artery for RAI/t parameter. 'Deficiency' group showed a significantly higher value in the right radial artery for W, Angl parameters. Through this study, significant pulse wave parameters were found, and they can be used as objective diagnostic indicators for Eight Principle Pattern Identification.

  • This paper presents machine vision technique with a camera modeling that accounts for major sources of camera distortion, namely, radial, decentering, and thin prism distortion. Radial distortion causes an inward or outward displacement of a given image point from its ideal location. Actual optical systems are subject to various degrees of decentering, that is, the optical centers of lens elements are not strictly collinear. It is our purpose to develop the vision system for the pattern recognition and the automatic test of parts and to apply the line of manufacturing.

수직상향 이상류에서 동심원관 간극이 유동양식과 보이드분포에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Annular Gap Size on the Flow Pattern and Void Distribution in a Vertical Upward Two-Phase Flow)

  • An experimental investigation has been conducted to determine the flow pattern for two-component , two-phase mixtures which flow vertically upwards in concentric annuli based on the measurement for the local void fraction and the distribution of the local void fraction in various radial locations in the annular gap. The annular test section consists of a lucite outer tube whose inside diameter is 38mm and a stainless steel rod, The rod diameter is either :2mm,16mm or 20mm. It is demonstrated that the probability density function of the fluctuations in void fraction may be used as an flow pattern indicator and the local void fraction distribution depends on the flow pattern and radial location in the annular passage.

청송 북동부 유문암질 암맥군의 패턴과 성인 (Pattern and Origin of the Rhyolitic Dike Swarm, Northeastern Cheongsong, Korea)

  • 청송 북동부에서 중태산과 갈평지 관입체는 영양소분지에서 각각 가송동층과 도계동층을 관입하여 각각 병반과 암주로 산출된다. 그리고 청송 암맥군은 도계동층을 관입하며 갈평지 암주에 매우 밀접하게 조합되어있다. 이 암맥군은 방사상으로 갈평지에 수렴되고 전체 윤곽이 타원형 분포를 나타낸다. 또한 암맥들은 유상엽리, 구과상, 석정상 구조를 나타내는 유문암맥들이며 하나의 단일 관입상을 나타낸다. 암맥들의 방향성은 관입체에서 응력상태에 의하여 지배되는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 즉 암맥들은 일반적으로 갈평지 암주의 관입에 의해 퇴적암류의 도움작용 동안에 최고 주응력축에 직각으로 발생하는 방사상 단열에 따르는 수직 인장절리를 따라 주입해 방사상 패턴을 나타낸다. 이 패턴은 본역에서 이 암맥들이 대부분 방사상 절리들 속으로 주입을 충분히 설명해줄 수 있다.

다항식기반 RBF 신경회로망을 이용한 패턴인식에 대한 연구 (A Study on Pattern Recognition Using Polynomial-based Radial Basis Function Neural Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 다항식 기반 Radial Basis Function(RBF)신경 회로망을 설계하고 이를 패턴분류 문제에 적용하여 그 성능을 분석한다. 제안된 RBF 신경회로망은 입력층, 은닉층, 출력층으로 이루어진다. 입력층의 연결가중치는 1로서 입력층의 입력벡터는 그대로 은닉층으로 전달되고 은닉층은 FCM(Fuzzy C-means Clustering)방법을 통하여 뉴런의 출력 값으로 내보낸다. 은닉층과 출력층사이의 연결가중치는 상수, 선형식 또는 이차식으로 이루어지며 경사 하강법에 의해 학습되어진다. 네트워크의 최종 출력은 연결가중치와 은닉층 출력의 곱에 의한 퍼지추론의 결과로 얻어진다. 제안된 RBF 신경회로망은 여러 종류의 machine learning 데이터에 적용하여 패턴분류기로서의 성능을 평가받는다.

Development of Intelligent Gear-Shifting Map Based on Radial Basis Function Neural Networks

  • Currently, most automobiles have automatic transmission systems. The gear-shifting strategy used to generate shift patterns in transmission systems plays an important role in improving the performance of vehicles. However, conventional transmission systems have a fixed type of shift map, so it may not be enough to provide an efficient gear-shifting pattern to satisfy the demands of driver. In this study, we developed an intelligent strategy to handle these problems. This approach is based on a normalized radial basis function neural network, which can generate a flexible gear-shift pattern to satisfy the demands of drivers, including comfortable travel and fuel consumption. The method was verified through simulations.

하계망패턴의 특색으로 구분한 중국의 자연지역 (The Physical Region of China Divided by the Characteristics of Drainage Patterns.)

  • 하계망은 유역분지의 지질, 지형, 기후 등의 영향을 예민하게 반영하면서 발달하므로, 하계망 패턴의 특징에 따른 지역구분은 자연환경을 종합적으로 이해하는데 중요한 의의를 갖는다. 본연구는 자연환경이 매우 다양한 중국을 대상으로 하계망특색을 통하여 자연지역구분을 시도하였다. 중국의 하계망은 크게 내륙하천유역분지와 의류하천유역분지로 나누어 지며, 내륙하천유역분지는 (1)난맥상(亂脈狀) 하폐망(deranged pattern)과 (2)구심상 하계 망으로, 의류하천유역분지는 (1)수지상 하재망, (2)평행상 하계망, (3)선상 하재망, (4)망상 하계망으로 나누어 진다. 내륙하천유역분지의 하계망형성에는 지형과 기후가 함께 영향을 미치고, 의류하천유역분지에서 나타나는 평행상 하계망은 주로 지반운동에 결과된 지질구조선, 선상 하계망은 황하의 범람으로 인한 유로변경, 망상 하계망은 인간의 활동 등과 같은 요인에 의한 것이다. 이들의 지역적 분포는 난맥상 하계망은 짱베이(장북(藏北))고원지역, 구심상 하계망은 건조분지지역, 평행상 하계망은 양쯔대지와 인도판 사이의 구조운동의 영향을 강하게 받고 있는 횡단산맥지역, 양쯔강 상류지역, 칭짱(청장(靑藏))고원 이남의 갠지즈(Ganges River)강 상류유역분지지역이며, 선상 하계망은 황하하류 선상지지역인 하이허(해하(海河)) 화이허(회하(淮河)강 유역분지지역이고, 망상 하계망은 양쯔강삼각주, 장쑤성북부해안 및 주장강(주강(珠江)) 삼각주지역이다. 이들 지역을 제외한 나머지 지역은 가장 일반적으로 볼 수 있는 수지상 하계망을 하고 있다.

레이디얼 베이시스 함수망을 이용한 플라즈마 식각공정 모델링 (Modeling of Plasma Etch Process using a Radial Basis Function Network)

  • A new model of plasma etch process was constructed by using a radial basis function network (RBFN). This technique was applied to an etching of silicon carbide films in a NF$_3$ inductively coupled plasma. Experimental data to train RBFN were systematically collected by means of a 2$^4$ full factorial experiment. Appropriateness of prediction models was tested with test data consisted of 16 experiments not pertaining to the training data. Prediction performance was optimized with variations in three training factors, the number of pattern units, width of radial basis function, and initial weight distribution between the pattern and output layers. The etch responses to model were an etch rate and a surface roughness measured by atomic force microscopy. Optimized models had the root mean-squared errors of 26.1 nm/min and 0.103 nm for the etch rate and surface roughness, respectively. Compared to statistical regression models, RBFN models demonstrated an improvement of more than 20 % and 50 % for the etch rate and surface roughness, respectively. It is therefore expected that RBFN can be effectively used to construct prediction models of plasma processes.

  • A radial artery pulse wave is well known as a good mans to diagnose human body condition in th field of Chinese medical science. Information about constitution as well as organs can be obtained by detecting the artery pulse wave. Recently, the information about the human body constitution may be utilized in accelerating the recovery process of the patient on the basis of comprehensive diagnosis. A radial artery pulse wave is considered as one of promising means in examining the human body constitution. Since the examination has been conducted by the feeling of finger, the diagnosis may occasionally have uncertainty or fatal error. In this paper, a new measuring system is suggested and developed to examine the pattern of a pulse wave correctly. The system is composed of four pressure vessels, pressure sensors and air supplying pumps. One of them is utilized for appropriately pressing the radial artery, three of them for detecting pressure change in several mmHg level. The detected data is shown and discussed.

A Radial Basis Function Approach to Pattern Recognition and Its Applications

  • Pattern recognition is one of the most common problems encountered in engineering and scientific disciplines, which involves developing prediction or classification models from historic data or training samples. This paper introduces a new approach, called the Representational Capability (RC) algorithm, to handle pattern recognition problems using radial basis function (RBF) models. The RC algorithm has been developed based on the mathematical properties of the interpolation and design matrices of RBF models. The model development process based on this algorithm not only yields the best model in the sense of balancing its parsimony and generalization ability, but also provides insights into the design process by employing a design parameter (${\delta}$). We discuss the RC algorithm and its use at length via an illustrative example. In addition, RBF classification models are developed for heart disease diagnosis.
