부산 402호의 조종 성능에 관한 연구 (Maneuverabilities of the M . S . Pusan 402)

  • The maneuverabilities of the M. S. PUSAN 402 are studied, based on maneuvering indices and the data obtained from her Z test. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The maneuvering indices K' and T' of the M. S. PUSAN 402 are 1. 490, 1.030 at 10$^{\circ}$ Z test and 2.644, 1.153 at 20$^{\circ}$ Z test and 3.382. 1. 027 at 30$^{\circ}$ Z test respectively. The above calculated values K', T' showed that her maneuverabilities are more increased when the rudder is used to large angle than to smaIl angle. 2. As her maneuvering indices K' and T' at 10$^{\circ}$ Z test are higher than the standard maneuvering indices of fishing boats, her turning ability was found to be higher but her obeying ability lower. 3. When the M. S. PUSAN 402 took a turn at her 10$^{\circ}$ test, running distance was about 8.4 times her own length and didn't exceed the standard maneuvering distance, 5 to 11 times ship's own length, therefore she was considered to have good maneuverabilities syntheticaIly.

  • In this paper, we research a new method for efficiency improvement of a single-phase Induction motor by minimization of the stator loss. To make this, we perform winding design which is based on balanced and quasi-balanced operation condition. It gives efficiency improvement greatly but poor starting torque simultaneously. To obtain the best efficiency improvement maintaining the maximum and starting torque, the optimal winding specification and rotor dimension is determined with variation of secondary resistance, running capacitor and turn ratio. Finally, this paper gives the comparison between the simulation results and experimental results.

소형 휴머노이드 로븟 시스템 개발 (The Development of a Miniature Humanoid Robot System)

  • In this paper, we introduce a case study of developing a miniature humanoid robot that has 16 degrees of freedom and is able to perform statically stable walking. The developed humanoid robot is 37cm tall and weighs 1,200g. RC servo motors are used as actuators. The robot can walk forward and turn to any direction on even surface. It equipped with a small digital camera, so it can transmit vision data to a remote host computer via wireless modem. The robot can be operated in two modes; One is a remote-controlled mode, in which the robot behaves according to the command given by a human operator through the user-interface program running on a remote host computer, the other is a stand-alone mode, in which the robot behaves autonomously according to the pre-programmed strategy. The user-interface program also contains a robot graphic simulator that is used to produce and verify the robot's gait motion. In our walking algorithm, the ankle joint is mainly used lot balancing the robot. The experimental results shows that the developed robot can perform statically stable walking on even surface.

  • Main parameters of wheel-rail combination are investigated by profile analysis. A rolling radius difference is one of the main characteristics that describe a contact between wheelset and railway track, which in turn defines the dynamic behavior of a wheelset. This paper describes functional relation between lateral wheelset displacement and rolling radius difference or conicity on new/worn wheel of existing narrow gauge vehicle. Information about curving behavior and running stability are given by this both relations. The optimal wheel profile for railway vehicle with narrow gauge is adopted through this analysis. And, the applicable limit value of conicity which is used in order to do dynamic simulation of vehicle is presented.

  • In this paper, a novel method of sensorless control scheme is proposed to apply on a single phase hybrid SRM used in high speed operation. The proposed method utilizes beneficially permanent magnet field whose performance is motor parameter independent to estimate the rotor position. The differential value of back-EMF is used to detect its peak point when there is no current conducting in the winding. Through this approach, the adjustable turn on/off position can be achieved without prior knowledge of inductance profile which is always employed by many sensorless schemes. And this paper may offer an available method to do the sensorless control in hybrid SRM used for high speed running.

  • 전원이나 CPU 같은 컴퓨팅 자원의 제약을 받는 임베디드 시스템의 경우, 데이터의 컴퓨터 화면 디스플레이로 인한 오버헤드는 시스템의 성능에 지대한 영향을 줄 수 있다. 본 논문은 ARM9 방식의 S3C2440A 마이크로프로세서가 내장된 LN2440SBC 시스템에서, LCD(liquid crystal display)의 구동을 위해 필요한 ARM 코어, LCD 컨트롤러, SPI(serial peripheral interface) 같은 LCD-구동 요소들의 초기화 방법을 설명한다. 또한 픽셀 디스플레이 함수와 디스플레이로 인한 오버헤드를 줄이기 위한 가상스크린을 이용한 디스플레이 방법을 소개한다. 가상스크린은 한 LCD 화면 디스플레이에 필요한 메모리 용량보다 매우 큰 용량의 메모리 공간으로서, 가상스크린 내의 특정 영역 디스플레이는 그 영역을 뷰포트(view port) 영역으로 지정함으로서 행해진다. 이 같은 가상스크린을 이용한 디스플레이는 임베디드 시스템에서 동시에 수행되는 여러 태스크들이 자신의 수행 결과를 생성하고 그 결과를 각기 화면에 출력하는 경우에 유용하며, 특히 각 태스크의 수행 결과 데이터가 모두 변경되지 않고 일부분만 변경되어 디스플레이 되는 경우에 더욱 그러하다. 이런 임베디드 시스템의 경우, 각 태스크들이 가상스크린의 메모리 영역을 효율적으로 나누어 사용할 경우 디스플레이 오버헤드를 최소화 할 수 있다. 가상스크린을 사용하는 경우와 아닌 경우의 성능 비교를 위해 두 개의 다른 이미지를 번갈아 가며 디스플레이하고 소요 시간을 측정했다. 그 결과 가상 스크린을 사용할 경우가 그렇지 않은 경우에 비해 약 5배의 빠른 출력 속도를 보인다.

족저압력분석을 활용한 테니스화 기능성평가 (Functional Evaluation of Tennis Shoes Using Foot-Pressure Distribution)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 테니스화의 종류에 따른 주행 특성 및 테니스 동작 수행 시 족저압력분석 방법을 활용하여 테니스화의 기능성을 평가하는데 있다. 하지의 상해가 없고 정상적인 보행동작을 수행하는 남자 대학생 10명을 선정하여 4종류 모델의 테니스화를 대상으로 직선주행, $45^{\circ}$ 방향전환주행, 포핸드 스트로그, 백핸드 스트로그 동작 시 족저압력을 측정한 후 COP(renter of pressure)경로, 평균족저압력, 최대족저압력, 최대지면반력을 분석하였다. 분석결과 직선달리기 동작 시 족저압력 분석결과 모든 제품이 우수한 것으로 분석되었고 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 없었으며, $45^{\circ}$ 방향전환달리기동작, 포핸드 스트로그동작, 백핸드 스트로그 동작 시 최대지면반력과 최대족저압력 그리고 평균족저압력을 종합적으로 분석해 본 결과 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 없었으나, C>A>B>D> 순으로 테니스화의 기능성이 우수한 것으로 분석되었다.

일단위 온도에 기초한 증발산량의 산정 (Calculation of Evapotranspiration Based on Daily Temperature)

  • 이 연구에서는 일교차를 이용하여 일평균 증발산량을 산정한다. 이를 위하여 Thornton과 Running(1999)의 일평균 태양 복사열 산정을 위한 경험식을 이용하여 태양복사열을 계산하여 이를 현장 자료와 비교한 결과 비교적 정확한 범위 내에 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 이렇게 산정된 일평균 태양 복사열을 증발산량의 계산을 위해 Priestly Taylor 공식과 Penman 공식에 적용함으로써 현장에서의 정확성과 사용가능성을 확인해 보고자 하였다. 그 결과로 태양 복사열에 중점을 둔 Priest-Taylor 공식은 과다추정하는 경향을 보이나, Penman 공식은 비교적 정확한 증발산량의 산정을 보여 줌으로써 기상 관측 자료가 풍부하지 않은 지역에서의 사용가능성을 보여주었다. 또 계산된 증발산량을 일단위 온도만을 이용하여 증발산량을 산정하는 Hargreaves 공식과 비교하여 각 공식의 장단점을 공학적 측면에서 알아보고자 하였다.

피스톤 링 팩 및 실린더 보아 마모와 오일소모를 고려한 엔진 내구수명 연구 (A Study on Engine Durability Considering Oil Consumption and Wear of Piston-Ring Pack and Cylinder Bore)

  • Ring, groove and cylinder bore wear may not be a problem in most current automotive engines. However, a small change in ring face, groove geometry and cylinder bore diameter can significantly affect the lubrication characteristics and ring axial motion. This in turn can cause to change inter-ring pressure, blowby and oil consumption in an engine. Therefore, by predicting the wear of piston ring face, ring groove and cylinder bore altogether, the changed ring end gap and the changed volume of gas reservoir can be calculated. Then the excessive oil consumption can be predicted. Being based on the calculation of gas flow amount by the theory of piston ring dynamics and gas flow, and the calculation of oil film thickness and friction force by the analysis of piston ring lubrication, the calculation theory of oil amount through top ring gap into combustion chamber will be set. This is estimated as engine oil consumption. Furthermore, the wear theories of ring, groove and cylinder bore are included. Then the each amount of wear is to be obtained. The changed oil consumption caused by the new end gap and the new volume of oil reservoir around second land, can be calculated at some engine running interval. Meanwhile, the wear amount and oil consumption occurred during engine durability cycle are compared with the calculated values. Next, the calculated amount of oil consumption and wear are compared with the guideline of each part's wear and oil consumption. So, the timing of part repair and engine life cycle can be predicted in advance without performing engine durability test. The wear data of rings, grooves and cylinder bore are obtained from three engines before and after engine durability test. The calculated wear data of each part are turn out to be around the band of averaged test values or a little below.
