Optimized KNN/SVM Algorithm for Efficent Indoor Location (효율적인 실내 측위를 위한 KNN/SVM 알고리즘)

  • 현재 측위에 대한 측정 대상이 점점 작아지면서, 그에 따른 정확도 까지 높아지고 있다. 실내 측위에 관한 기술은 대표적으로 단말기의 수신신호의 세기방식인 RSS(Received Signal Strength), 수신신호의 도달시간 방식 TOA(Time of Arrival), 수신 신호의 도달 시간차 방식 TDOA(Time Difference of Arrival), 수신신호의 입사각 방식인 AOA(Angle of Arrival) 등 여러 가지 기술이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 특수 장비를 사용하지 않고, 무선 네트워크 기반의 실내 측위 중에 정확도가 높은 Fingerprinting 방법을 택하였다. WLAN 기반 실내측위에 가장 많이 사용되는 KNN은 k개의 이웃수와 RP의 수에 따라 민감하다. 본 논문에서는 KNN 성능을 향상 시키기 위해 SVM 이용하여 SNR 데이터를 군집화를 적용한 KNN과 SVM을 혼합한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 신호잡음비 데이터를 KNN 방법에 적용하여 k개의 RP를 선택한 후 선택된 RP의 신호잡음비를 SVM에 적용하여 k개의 RP를 군집하여 분류한다. 실험 결과 위치 오차가 2m이내에 KNN/SVM 혼합 알고리즘이 KNN 알고리즘보다 성능이 우수하다.

Determination of Bergenin in Different Parts of Bergenia ciliata using a Validated RP-HPLC Method

  • Bergenia ciliata (Family: Saxifragaceae) is a folklore remedy for the treatment of various ailments in Asian countries. Bergenin (1) has been isolated as an active constituent in many studies, however, the amount of bergenin has not been determined in all parts of the plant. A simple RP-HPLC method was developed to determine the amount of bergenin in methanol extracts of leaves, rhizomes and roots of the plant. Separation was achieved on an Agilent Eclipse XDB-C18 column maintained at 25 ℃ using isocratic solvent system (water: methanol: acetic acid; 62.5:37:0.5 v/v/v) adjusted at pH 2 0 at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. and detected at 275 nm. Correlation coefficient (0.9952) showed linearity of concentration (5-200 ㎍/mL) and response. The values of LOD (0.00947 ㎍/mL) and LOQ (0.02869 ㎍/mL) indicated that method was sensitive. The recovery of bergenin was 99.99-100% indicating accuracy of method. The methanol extract of rhizomes contained higher amount of bergenin (19.4%) than roots (9.2%) and leaves (6.9%). It is concluded that methanol extract of rhizomes is a better source of bergenin than other parts of the plant. The findings are useful for standardization of bergenin containing extracts and herbal preparations.

  • Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker and is classified as a class IV anti-arrhythmic agent. It is used in the control of supra ventricular tachyarrhythmias, and in the management of classical and variant angina pectoris. It is also used in the treatment of hypertension and used as an important therapeutic agent for angina pectoris, ischemic heart disease, hypertension and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Verapamil commonly co-administered with NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) i.e. diclofenac sodium, flurbiprofen, Ibuprofen, mefanamic acid and meloxicam. A simple and rapid RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination and quantification of verapamil and NSAIDs was developed and validated. The mobile phase constituted of acetonitrile: water (55:45) whose pH was adjusted at 2.7 and pumped at a flow rate of 2.0 mL $min^{-1}$ at 230 nm. The proposed method is simple, precise, accurate, low cost and least time consuming for the simultaneous determination of verapamil and NSAIDs which can be effectively applied for the analysis of human serum.

$K^{+}$ channel openers가 기니픽 심근의 수축력, 막전위 및 세포내 $Na^{+}$ 이온 활성도에 미치는 영향

  • 기니픽심장에서 유두근을 적출하여 valve 쪽은 silver wire에 연결하여 수축력을 측정하고 mural end는 sylgard floor에 pin으로 고정하여 1Hz로 자극하였다. 이때 사용된 영양액은 Tyrode Ringer로 bath내 은도는 36$^{\circ}C$이고 97% 0$_2$, 3% $CO_2$로 포화시켜 사용하였다. 수축력이 일정해진 후 막전위는 conventional electrode를 이용해서 기록하고, 세포내 $Na^{+}$ 이온 활성도( $a_{Na}$ $^{i}$ )는 $Na^{+}$ 선택적 전극을 이용해서 기록하였다. 적출 기니픽 심근에서 pinacidil, cromakalim, RP49356 둥의 $K^{+}$ channel opener는 활동전위 기간(APD)과 수축력 감소을 일으켰고, pinacidil과 cromakalim에 의한 APD 감소는 glibenclamide (10 $\mu$M)에 의해 거의 억제되었다. Pinacidil, RP49356 및 cromakalim에 의한 수축력 감소시 세포내 $Na^{+}$ 이온농도( $a_{Na}$ $^{i}$ )의 감소가 나타났으며 glibenclamide(10 $\mu$M)에 의한 APD의 감소는 거의 차단되었으나 $a_{Na}$ $^{i}$ 감소는 일부 나타났으며 이때 수축력의 감소도 나타났다.

  • The RP&M (Rapid prototyping and Manufacturing) is the most appropriate technology for the small-lot production system, in which the production cycle is getting shorter owing to various needs from consumers. In this paper, RP&M is applied to a casting process. A casting process has a merit of being able to reflect complicated shapes at one time. But it has not been applied to the precision industry because of bad quality on surface. So we will improve characteristics of aluminum casting process using vacuum sealed casting process and porous ceramic mold which is made by slurry casting process.

Effect of Organic Acid Pre-Treatment followed by Hydrothermal Treatment on Antioxidant Activity of Rice Hull Extract (유기산 전처리 후 수열처리가 왕겨 추출물의 항산화능에 미치는 영향)

  • Antioxidative effects of rice hull extracts pre-treatment with various organic acids were evaluated. After incubating rice hull in 50 mM of five different organic acid solutions (acetic, citric, lactic, phosphoric, and tartaric acid) for 18 hours at room temperature, hydrothermal treatment at $121^{\circ}C$ for 30 min was carried out. Antioxidant activity of the rice hull extract was evaluated by determining total phenol contents (TPC), DPPH radical scavenging activity (RSA), reducing power (RP), and ABTS RSA. Pre-treatment with 50 mM phosphoric acid significantly increased TPC, DPPH RSA, and RP, while it decreased ABTS RSA. The effect of phosphoric acid concentration was also determined. TPC and DPPH RSA of rice hull extract increased with concentration of pre-treated phosphoric acid; in contrast, RP showed the reverse pattern. The results indicated that pre-treatment of rice hull with organic acid was very effective for increasing phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity of rice hull extract.

An Antiviral Mechanism Investigated with Ribavirin as an RNA Virus Mutagen for Foot-and-mouth Disease Virus

  • To prove whether error catastrophe /lethal mutagenesis is the primary antiviral mechanism of action of ribavirin against foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV). Ribavirin passage experiments were performed and supernatants of $Rp_1$ to $Rp_5$ were harvested. Morphological alterations as well as the levels of viral RNAs, proteins, and infectious particles in the BHK-21 cells infected using the supernatants of $Rp_1$ to $Rp_5$ and control were measured by microscope, real-time RT-PCR, western-blotting and plaque assays, respectively. The mutation frequency was measured by sequencing the complete P1- and 3D-encoding region of FMDV after a single round of virus infection from ribavirin-treated or untreated FMDV-infected cells. Ribavirin treatment for FMDV caused dramatically inhibition of multiplication in cell cultures. The levels of viral RNAs, proteins, and infectious particles in the BHK-21 cells infected were more greatly reduced along with the passage from $Rp_1$ to $Rp_5$, moreover, nucleocapsid protein could not be detected and no recovery of infectious virus in the supernatant or detection of intracellular viral RNA was observed at the $Rp_5$-infected cells. A high mutation rate, giving rise to an 8-and 11-fold increase in mutagenesis and resulting in some amino acid substitutions, was found in viral RNA synthesized at a single round of virus infection in the presence of ribavirin of $1000\;{\mu}M$ and caused a 99.7% loss in viral infectivity in contrast with parallel untreated control virus. These results suggest that the antiviral molecular mechanism of ribavirin is based on the lethal mutagenesis/error catastrophe, that is, the ribavirin is not merely an antiviral reagent but also an effective mutagen.

A study on boron and phosphrous doping profile by RTA using 1MeV high energy ion implantaiton (1MeV 고에너지로 붕소(boron)와 인(phosphorus)을 이온주입 시급속 열처리에 따른 도핑 프로파일)

  • p형 실리콘 기판위에 100.angs.의 초기 산화막을 성장시킨 후 붕소(B)와 인(P)을 1MeV 이온주입 에너지로 4.dec. tilting하여 붕소의 도즈량은 1*10/녀ㅔ 13/[cm/sup -2/]까지, 인은 1*10/sup 13/[cm/sup -2]로부터 1*10/sup 14/[cm/sup -2/] 까지 변화시키며 이온 주입하였다. 이온주입 후 RTA 로서 열처리 하였으며, 열처리 시간은 10초에서 40초까지,열처리 온도를 1000.deg.C에서 1100.deg.C까지 변화하였다. 이후 기파낸의 불순물의 프로파일 및 미세 결함의 분포를 분석하기 위하여, SIMS, SRP, XTEM 분석을 실시하였고, 이를 monte-carlo 모ㅓ델로서 시뮬레이션하여 비교하였다. SIMS 분석 결과 열처리 온도와 시간이 증가할수록 접합깊이가 증가하였고, 프로파일이 넓어짐을 볼수 있다. SRP 측정에서 붕소는 주해거리 (Rp)값은 1.8.mu.m~1.9.mu.m, 인의 경우는 1.1.mu.m~1.2.mu.m의 주행거리 (Rp) 값이 나타났다. XTEM 분석결과 붕소의 경우 열처리에 전후에도 결함을 볼수 없었고, 인의 경우 열처리 이후에 실리콘 결정내부에 있던 산소(O)와 인(P)우너자의 pinning효과에 의해 전위다이폴을 형성하여 표면근처로 성장함을 볼수 있었다.
