  • Text classification is one of the text mining technologies that classifies a given textual document into its appropriate categories and is used in various fields such as spam email detection, news classification, question answering, emotional analysis, and chat bot. In general, the text classification system utilizes machine learning algorithms, and among a number of algorithms, naïve Bayes and support vector machine, which are suitable for text data, are known to have reasonable performance. Recently, with the development of deep learning technology, several researches on applying deep neural networks such as recurrent neural networks (RNN) and convolutional neural networks (CNN) have been introduced to improve the performance of text classification system. However, the current text classification techniques have not yet reached the perfect level of text classification. This paper focuses on the fact that the text data is expressed as a vector only with the word dimensions, which impairs the semantic information inherent in the text, and proposes a neural network architecture based upon the semantic tensor space model.

  • In the Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET), the data transmission of time-sensitive applications requires low latency, such as accident warnings, driving guidance, etc. However, frequent changes of topology in VANET will result in data transmission failures. In order to improve the efficiency of VANETs data transmission and increase the timeliness of data, this paper proposes a relay scheme based on Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) trajectory prediction, which can be used to select the optimal relay vehicle to transmit data. The proposed scheme learns vehicle trajectory in a distributed manner and calculates the predicted trajectory, and then the optimal vehicle can be selected to complete the data transmission, which ensures the timeliness of the data. Finally, we carry out a set of simulations to demonstrate the performance of the algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme enhances the timeliness of the data and the accuracy of the predicted driving trajectory.

  • Software fault prediction is a method to compute fault in the software sections using software properties which helps to evaluate the quality of software in terms of cost and effort. Recently, several software fault detection techniques have been proposed to classifying faulty or non-faulty. However, for such a person, and most studies have shown the power of predictive errors in their own databases, the performance of the software is not consistent. In this paper, we propose a hybrid soft computing technique for SFP based on optimal feature extraction and classification (HST-SFP). First, we introduce the bat induced butterfly optimization (BBO) algorithm for optimal feature selection among multiple features which compute the most optimal features and remove unnecessary features. Second, we develop a layered recurrent neural network (L-RNN) based classifier for predict the software faults based on their features which enhance the detection accuracy. Finally, the proposed HST-SFP technique has the more effectiveness in some sophisticated technical terms that outperform databases of probability of detection, accuracy, probability of false alarms, precision, ROC, F measure and AUC.

  • Greenhouse have been developed to provide the plants with good environmental conditions for cultivation crop, two major factors of which are the inside air temperature and humidity. The inside temperature are influenced by the heating systems, ventilators and for systems among others, which in turn are geverned by some type of controller. Likewise, humidity environment is the result of complex mass exchanges between the inside air and the several elements of the greenhouse and the outside boundaries. Most of the existing models are based on the energy balance method and heat balance equation for modelling the heat and mass fluxes and generating dynamic elements. However, greenhouse are classified as complex system, and need to make a sophisticated modeling. Furthermore, there is a difficulty in using classical control methods for complex process system due to the process are non linear and multi-output(MIMO) systems. In order to predict the time evolution of conditions in certain greenhouse as a function, we present here to use of recurrent neural networks(RNN) which has been used to implement the direct dynamics of the inside temperature and inside humidity of greenhouse. For the training, we used algorithm of a backpropagation Through Time (BPTT). Because the environmental parameters are shared by all time steps in the network, the gradient at each output depends not only on the calculations of the current time step, but also the previous time steps. The training data was emulated to 13 input variables during March 1 to 7, and the model was tested with database file of March 8. The RMSE of results of the temperature modeling was $0.976^{\circ}C$, and the RMSE of humidity simulation was 4.11%, which will be given to prove the performance of RNN in prediction of the greenhouse environment.

  • Practical applications of learning systems usually involve complex domains exhibiting nonlinear behavior and dilution by noise. Consequently, an intelligent system must be able to adapt to nonlinear processes as well as probabilistic phenomena. An important class of application for a knowledge based systems in prediction: forecasting the future trajectory of a process as well as the consequences of any decision made by e system. This paper examines the robustness of data mining tools under varying levels of noise while predicting nonlinear processes in the form of chaotic behavior. The evaluated models include the perceptron neural network using backpropagation (BPN), the recurrent neural network (RNN) and case based reasoning (CBR). The concepts are crystallized through a case study in predicting a Henon process in the presence of various patterns of noise.

  • This paper describes a study on the time-varying control of parameters in learning of the neural network. Elman recurrent neural network (RNN) is used to implement the control of parameters. The parameters of learning and momentum rates In the error backpropagation algorithm ate updated at every iteration using fuzzy rules based on performance index. In addition, the gain and slope of the neuron's activation function are also considered time-varying parameters. These function parameters are updated using the gradient descent algorithm. Simulation results show that the auto-tuned learning algorithm results in faster convergence and lower system error than regular backpropagation in the system identification.

  • In order to apply the RNN model to the radio fingerprint-based indoor path generation technology, the data set must be continuous and sequential. However, Wi-Fi radio fingerprint data is not suitable as RNN data because continuity is not guaranteed as characteristic information about a specific location at the time of collection. Therefore, continuity information of sequential positions should be given. For this purpose, clustering is possible through classification of each region based on signal data. At this time, the continuity information between the clusters does not contain information on whether actual movement is possible due to the limitation of radio signals. Therefore, correlation information on whether movement between adjacent clusters is possible is required. In this paper, a deep learning network, a recurrent neural network (RNN) model, is used to predict the path of a moving object, and it reduces errors that may occur when predicting the path of an object by generating continuous location information for path generation in an indoor environment. We propose a method of giving correlation between clustering for generating an improved moving path that can avoid erroneous path prediction that cannot move on the predicted path.

  • The number of patent application filing for a specific technology has a good relation with the technology's life cycle and future industry development on that area. So industry and governments are highly interested in forecasting the number of patent application filing in order to take appropriate preparations in advance. In this paper, a new method based on the bidirectional long short-term memory(LSTM), a kind of recurrent neural network(RNN), is proposed to improve the forecasting accuracy compared to related methods. Compared with the Bass model which is one of conventional diffusion modeling methods, the proposed method shows the 16% higher performance with the Korean patent filing data on the five selected technology areas.

  • Recurrent neural network based language models (RNN LM) have shown improved results in language model researches. The RNN LMs are limited to post processing sessions, such as the N-best rescoring step of the wFST based speech recognition. However, it has considerable vocabulary problems that require large computing powers for the LM training. In this paper, we try to find the 1st pass N-gram model using word embedding, which is the simplified deep neural network. The class based language model (LM) can be a way to approach to this issue. We have built class based vocabulary through word embedding, by combining the class LM with word N-gram LM to evaluate the performance of LMs. In addition, we propose that part-of-speech (POS) tagging based LM shows an improvement of perplexity in all types of the LM tests.
