아연코팅 강판의 CO2 레이저용접시 인프로세스 모니터링을 위한 측정신호와 용접결함과의 관련성 연구 (Study on the Relationship Between Emission Signals and Weld Defect for In-Process Monitoring in CO2 Laser Welding of Zn-Coated Steel)

  • 본 연구에서는 조선용 6mm 아연코팅강판의 $CO_2$ 레이저 겹치기 용접시 발생하는 유기 플라즈마를 마이크로폰과 포토다이오드로 측정하였다. 이때 겹치기 갭간극에 따른 용접조건을 RMS한 신호와 비교 분석하였다. 이를 통해 아연증발량이 증가함에 따라 RMS값도 증가하였으며, 겹침부의 조건에 따라 결함 발생시 RMS의 급격한 변화도 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 용접조건에 따른 Raw signal의 FFT값을 구한 후, 이때 구해진 주파수값을 밴드폭으로 설정하여 Raw signal을 필터링한 뒤의 RMS값을 용접비드와 대응하여 필터링하지 않은 RMS와의 차이점도 비교 분석하였다. 이를 통해 기존의 방법들보다 신뢰성 높은 In-process 모니터링이 가능함을 확인하였다.

단속절삭에서 AE신호를 이용한 공구마멸의 감시 (Monitoring of Tool Wear using AE Signal in Interrupted cutting)

  • Characteristics of AE(Acoustic Emission) signal is related to cutting conditions, tool materials, and tool geometry in metal cutting. Relation between AE signal and tool wear was investigated experimentally. Experiment is carried out by interrupted cutting for SCM420 workpiece with TiN coating tool on HSS material. AE RMS voltage and count per event were increased according to tool wear. The major results are as follows : 1) AE RMS value is nearly constant as cutting speed changes, but is rapidly increase as feed rate increases. 2) AE RMS value and Count per Event increase as tool wear increases. 3) It is more effective to monitor tool wear by Incremental rate of AE RMS value than by Incremental rate of count per event.

  • A acoustic emission (AE) sensor has been used to monitor tool were during milling process. The relation between tool wear and AE RMS (Root mean Square) signal was investigated experimentally. A avaliable monitoring index for monitoring toolwear was newly extracted form AE RMS. And on-line monitoring program was developed. The proposed monitoring system has verified experimentally by roughing end milling titanium alloy with TIN coated HSS tool.

  • The characteristics of AE(Acoustic Emission) signal is related to cutting conditio, tool material, and tool geometry in metal cutting. The relation between AE signal and tool life was investigated experimentally. Experiment is carried out by gear shaping and SCM 420 workpiece. AE RMS voltage were increased according totool wear. It is suggested that maximum value of AE RMS voltage is an effective parameter to monitor tool life.

자동 이득제어 루프를 이용한 CMOS RF 전력 검출기 (A CMOS RF Power Detector Using an AGC Loop)

  • 본 논문에서는 자동 이득 제어 회로를 이용한 와이드 다이나믹 레인지 RF root-mean-square (RMS) 전력 검출기를 소개한다. 제안하는 자동 이득 제어는 voltage gain amplifier (VGA), RMS 변환 블록, 이득 조절 블록으로 구성되어 있다. VGA는 dB-linear한 이득 관계를 갖는 캐스코드 VGA를 사용하였다. 제안하는 RMS 변환은 입력 신호 전 파장의 제곱 변환을 이용하여 RMS에 비례하는 DC 전압을 출력한다. 제안하는 RMS 전력 검출기는 500MHz에서 5GHz에서 작동하며 검출 범위는 0 dBm에서 -70dBm 이상의 신호를 -4.53 mV/dBm의 비율로 검출한다. 제안하는 RMS 전력 검출기는 TSMC 65nm 공정을 사용하여 설계되었으며 1.2V에서 5mW의 전력소비를 갖는다. 칩 레이아웃 면적은 $0.0097mm^2$이다.

  • With the advance of precision technique, the optical system is more precise and complex and the machining method of optical element which is composed of micro-grooves is developed. Especially, the method of micro-grooving using diamond tool is used widely owing to many merit, but has problems of damage of surface roughness due to tool wear and tool fracture. This paper deals with state monitoring using AE RMS in the micro-grooving. The change of AE RMS is very small with increment of cutting velocity and depth of cut. In spite of constance magnitude of principal force in machining using diamond tool of tool wear and tool fracture, AE RMS is highly fluctuated. Because changing of cutting state has relevance to surface roughness profile, surface toughness profile is expected using AE RMS.

  • An electromyogram (EMG) using surface electrodes is one of the indirect tests most frequently used to ascertain muscle fatigue. An EMG can be used in two ways. The first technique determines the root mean square (RMS), which reflects the amplitude of the EMG signal. The second technique determines the median and mean power frequencies through EMG power spectrum analysis. The purpose of this article is for determine the correlation between work and percent root mean square(%RMS) and between work and MDF of EMG based on muscle contractions. It is used the %RMS, which reflects the amplitude of the EMG signal For MDF, it is used the frequency power spectrum analysis method, which involves the fast Fourier transformation (FFT) of the original Signals.

  • ATM 수신 단말기에서 원래 송신 단말기의 클럭과 동일한 주파수를 가져야 하는, 클럭의 동기에 관하여 연구하였다. 이를 위하여 ITU-T에서 권고하고 있는 표준 방식인 SRTS 방식과 이 방식에서 발생되는 지터를 분석하였다. STRS 지터의 전력 스펙트럼과 rms값이 이론적으로 계산되었다. 분석 결과, T1 1.544MHz의 소스 신호의 경우 평균적인 rms값은 32.63ns이고, E4 139.264MHz 신호의 경우, 0.15ns인 것으로 밝혀졌다.

  • A study on the Correlation of Orthogonal Cutting Parameter (Cutting speed, Depth of cut, Feed Rate) and Acoustic Emission Signal. It is well known that acoustic emission (AE) is the emission of elastic wave resulting from the deformation and fracture of materials. This study estabished correlation of orthogonal cutting parameter and AE signal, and researched into in-process monitoring of tool wear and failure. The results are as follow; 1. AE RMS was under the influence of cutting speed but hardly influenced by depth of cut and feed rate. 2. AE RMS was under the influence of flank wear. 3. AE count rate increased by increased cutting speed. 4. AE RMS value was rapidly increased in 130 m flank wear.

AE 신호 분석에 의한 구성인선의 감지 (Detection of Built-up Edge by AE Signal Analysis)

  • ThisPaper investigates the feasibility of using acoustic emission signal analysis for the detection of built-up edge during machining. Experiments were conducted on a CNC-lathe using conventional carbide insert tools under various cutting conditions. The cutting forces were also measured for comparisons. Experimental evidence is presented which indicates that the presence of a built-up edge can significantly affect the generation of acoustic emission in metal cutting. It is shown that under conditions in which a built-up edge is generated, the variation of $AE_{rms}$ signal with cutting speed can be quite different from the generally accepted linear, monotonic increase as previously reported. The feasibility of utilizing $AE_{rms}$ in built-up edge sensing is suggested.
