자전연소합성법으로 제조된 SiO2 첨가된 MoSi2 분말 내에서의 SiO2의 거동 연구 (SiO2 Behavior of MoSi2 Powders Containing SiO2 Synthesized by SHS Method)

  • In order to investigate the behavior of $SiO_2$ in the molybdenum silicide powders, crystal structure of these powders was measured by XRD, in addition, surface composition and surface phase (or chemical states) and microstructure were analysed by XPS and TEM, respectively. Mo-silicide powders containing $SiO_2$ were synthesized by SHS (Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis) technique. In XRD result, according to increase of $SiO_2$ contents, the crystal structure for synthesized $MoSi_2$ powders was still typical $MoSi_2$ bct without any other phases. By XPS analysis, the surface of Mo and Si source powders was covered with $MoO_3$ and $SiO_2$, respectively, and the surface of synthesized $MoSi_2$ powder was also covered with $MoO_3$ and $SiO_2$, which were stable oxides at room temperature. However, according to increase of $SiO_2$ addition, $MoSi_2$ phase in XPS spectra decreased and $SiO_2$ phase increased relatively in synthesized $MoSi_2$ powders. From the results by XPS and XRD, we found that the existent $SiO_2$ has amorphous structure. In the microstructure, the small particulates of the synthesized products added $SiO_2$ agglomerated together to form larger clusters (from ~10 nm to ~1 ${\mu}m$). From TEM, XPS, and XRD results, we found that the out layer of agglomeration of synthesized $MoSi_2$ powder is surrounded by amorphous $SiO_2$.

초고압 처리가 꼬마칼라감자의 항산화 증진에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Antioxidant Activities of Small Colored Potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) by using Ultra High Pressure Extraction Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 초고압 추출공정을 이용하여 전통적인 기존 추출공정과 비교함으로써 초고압 추출공정에 의한 꼬마칼라감자의 항산화 활성 증진을 확인하고자 연구를 수행하였다. 초고압 처리 추출물의 수율이 15분 처리시 2.10, 30분 처리시 2.41%로 추출 수율을 나타내어 일반 열수추출공정(1.73%)과 비교하여 약 1.2~1.4배의 추출수율을 나타내었다. 초고압 공정에 따른 변화 비교에서는 초고압 공정을 병행하였을 시 총 페놀과 플라보노이드 함량이 초고압 공정을 거치지 않은 것보다 다소 증가되는 것으로 보아 활성성분의 용출이 증진된 것으로 보인다. DPPH radical 소거 활성은 30분 초고압 처리한 추출물이 1.0 mg/mL에서 76.21%로 높은 활성을 나타내었으며, 환원력 역시 전체적으로 초고압 공정을 실시하였을 때의 활성이 높게 측정되었다. 초고압 추출이 꼬마칼라감자 내부 조직까지 영향을 주어 세포벽이 깨어지면서 조직 및 구조가 변화한 것으로 판단되며, 이를 통해 수율 및 활성 성분의 용출 증가가 이루어 진 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 꼬마칼라감자의 초고압 추출공정의 최적화를 통한 활성물질의 추출 극대화를 통해 높은 경제적 가치를 이룰 것으로 판단된다.

인삼 절임식품의 품질 및 관능특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Quality and Sensory Characteristics of Ginseng Pickles(JJangachi))

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인삼절임의 품질 및 관능특성을 조사하는 것이다. 인삼절임의 수분함량은 간장 첨가량이 증가할수록, 저장기간이 길어질수록 낮아지는 경향을 보였으며, 이는 삼투압 작용에 의한 것으로 사료된다. 색도측정 결과는 L값은 대조군(CON)을 제외한 모든 시료에서 저장기간에 길어짐에 따라, 간장 첨가량 증가량이 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 낮아졌다. a값과 b값은 저장기간이 길어짐에 따라, 간장 첨가량이 많아짐에 따라 유의적으로 증가하였다. 인삼절임 조미액의 당도와 염도는 간장 첨가량이 증가할수록 유의적(p<0.001)으로 높아졌다. 그러나 저장기간이 길어짐에 따라 유의적(p<0.001)으로 감소하였다. pH는 간장 첨가량이 증가할수록, 저장기간이 길어질수록 모든 시료에서 유의적(p<0.001)으로 낮아졌다. 저장기간에 따라 인삼절임의 기호도 검사를 한 결과, 외관, 향, 맛, 텍스쳐, 전체적인 기호도에서 제조 14일의 시료가 가장 좋게 평가되었고, 저장 21일부터는 기호도가 감소하였다. 이상의 결과로 보아 인삼절임 제조 시 간장의 첨가 비율은 20%, 저장 기간은 14일 일 때 인삼절임의 질감이 유지되며, 기호도가 상승된 우수한 인삼절임을 제조할 수 있었다.

성인간호학 교육의 학습목표와 국가고시 문제 개선방안 (The Future Direction of Learning Objectives and National Nurse's Licensing Examination in Adult Health Nursing)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify a model based on f the learning objectives in adult health nursing curriculums. The model can be eventually reflected in Korean National Nurse's Licensing Examination (KNNLE). Methods: The model was developed through a series of practical analysis by the task force team from June to October, 2011. The research team conducted the data synthesis and analysis from the learning objectives of adult health nursing drawn from selected national and international universities, from the adult health nursing areas in KNNLE, and from the current disease prevalence from clinical data in the representative university hospitals in Korea. Results: The current disease prevalence and mortality rates are on the increase especially for malignant neoplasm, heart diseases, suicide and diabetes. The items on the KNNLE of adult nursing are categorized by body systems into digestive system (15%), introduction (13.8%), respiratory system (11.3%), and cardiac system (11.3%). While the current system-based learning objectives covers extensive areas of adult health nursing, the core items are required to be selected based on core competences and core learning objectives to restructure the items of KNNLE. The first revised model is to consolidate and restructure the items microscopically in the subjects of adult health nursing by system. The second proposed model from macroscopic perspective is to build a comprehensive scheme of nursing curriculum by encompassing 8 subjects under current KNNLE and adjust the number of items accordingly. Conclusion: The items of KNNLE need to be gradually redesigned by considering the intervention need at clinical practice and the modified learning objectives of adult health nursing. Based on the job analysis on core competences for newly employed nurses performed by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing, it is necessary to establish the core learning objectives of adult health nursing and set up standards for core items in KNNLE.

고구마 만기재배에서 생육 및 수량에 미치는 삽수크기 및 삽식깊이의 영향 (Effects of Cutting Size and Planting Depth on Growth and Yield in Late-Cultivation of Sweet Potato)

  • 고구마 만기재배를 위하여 '진홍미'를 공시하여 생육 및 수량에 미치는 삽수크기 및 삽식깊이의 영향을 조사하였다. 삽수크기에 따라 삽식 30일 후 줄기신장, 마디수 및 생체중 등은 유의한 차이를 보였으나, 120일 후에는 10cm와 30cm 삽수 간에서만 차이를 보였다. 삽식깊이에 따라 삽식 30일 후 초기 생육은 2마디 깊이 삽식에서 가장 양호하였고, 4마디 깊이 삽식에서 오히려 늦어지는 경향을 보였다. 그러나 120일 후 지상부 생육은 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 삽수 크기가 클수록 주당 총저수와 주당 총저중, 상저비율이 증가하였으며, 식물체당 괴근수 및 괴근중, 10a당 수량 등은 10cm 삽수에서 20~30cm 삽수보다 유의하게 감소하였다. 또한 삽식깊이가 깊을수록 식물체당 괴근수는 증가한 반면, 평균 괴근중은 감소하였고, 10a당 수량은 3마디 삽식에서 기장 높았다. 띠라서 고구마 만기재배에서 생육 및 수량을 증대시키기 위해서는 삽수크기는 20cm 이상, 삽식깊이는 2~3마디로 재배하는 것이 좋을 것으로 생각된다.

족부 및 족관절 부위에서 비복 신경의 해부학 및 수술시의 의미 (Anatomy of the Sural Nerve in the Foot and Ankle and Its Surgical Implications)

  • The course of the sural nerve in the calf has been well documented, but there is a general lack of information concerning the distal course of the nerve. The purpose of this study was to describe the distal course of the sural nerve and its surgical implications. Seven fresh amputated specimens were dissected to show the anatomy of the sural nerve in the foot and ankle. At the level of about 10cm proximal to the plantar surface, the sural nerve coursed anteriorly and inferiorly away from the Achilles tendon. 2 to 4 lateral calcaneal branches arose. The first branch of the lateral calcaneal branches coursed along the lateral border of the Achilles tendon, and it arose at 8cm proximal to the plantar surface in 2 specimens, 12cm proximal to the plantar surface in 4 specimens, and at 12cm proximal to the plantar surface in one specimen. The main nerve trunk continued distally plantar to the peroneal tendons and divided into two terminal branches and crossed peroneus longus tendon at the level of the inferior border of the calcaneo-cuboid joint, at about 3cm(range, $2.5\sim3.0$)cm from the plantar surface. In conclusion, a longitudinal incision lateral to the Achilles tendon would cross the path of the sural nerve at about 10cm proximal to the plantar surface. When the first branch of them arise more than 10cm above the plantar surface, a logitudinal incision lateral to the Achilles tendon may be made without damage. The other lateral calcaneal branches will be cut when we make transverse incision paralled to the plantar surface. The terminal branch also may be in danger by the same transverse incision.

사염화 탄소에 의한 간손상에 있어 Kupffer cell 칼슘의 역할 (Involvement of Kupffer Cell in $CCl_4$ induced Liver Injury: The Role of Calcium)

  • 사염화 탄소에 의한 과산화 지질 증가 및 간 손상에 calcium 및 Kupffer cell의 역할 및 calcium channel blocker의 간 손상에 대한 방어 효과를 연구하였다. 사염화 탄소는 (1 gm/kg, ig) 간의 malondialdehyde (nmole/gm liver) 및 혈중 AST와 ALT (lU/ml) 활성도의 현저한 증가를 나타내었다. 고 농도의 Retinol (250,000U/kg/day)로 인한 Kupffer cell의 활성 증가는 사염화 탄소에 의한 간 과산화 지질 증가 및 간 손상에 상승 작용을 나타낸 반면, $GdCl_3$ 전처리는 $CCl_4$로 인한 ALT의 증가를 감소시켰다. 한편 Retinol 처치군에 Diltiazem (10mg/kg/day)을 병행하여 처치한 결과, 사염화 탄소에 의한 혈중 AST 및 ALT의 증가를 Retinol 단독 처치군에 비하여 현저하게 억제시킬 수 있었다. 이 결과들이 Retinol 혹은 Diltiazem의 투여에 의한 사염화 탄소가 cytochrome P450에 의한 대사 활성 또는 GSH와 관련된 항산화 기전에 미치는 영향에 기인한 것인가를 규명하기 위하여 cytochrome P450, cytochrome P4502El 활성도, GSH reductase 및 GSH peroxidase 활성도를 측정하였다. 그 결과, Retinol 및 Diltiazem의 전처리는 이들 효소의 활성도에 미치는 영향은 대조군에 비하여 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이상의 실험 결과를 종합하여 보면, 사염화 탄소의 투여에 의한 간 손상은 세포내 calcium의 증가를 가져오며, 이는 이차적으로 Kupffer cell을 활성화 시켜 이미 손상된 간세포의 독성을 증가시켰으며, calcium channel blocker인 Diltiazem의 투여는 사염화 탄소의 간독성을 현저하게 감소시키는 효과를 나타내었다.

만성 연중독자에서 발생한 신장해 (Nephropathy in Chronic Lead Poisoning)

  • We experienced a case of nephropathy in chronic lead poisoning. The patient was 43-year-old male who has been working in secondary lead smelting plant for 14 years. On admission, blood pressure was 160/90 mmHg and the others were non-specific. In past history, he received chelating agent administration for lead poisoning irregularly and medicated for gout, and the blood lead concentration was $180.0{\mu}g/dl$ on 2 months before admission. Smoking habit has been 1 pack per day for 15 years and drinking habit has been 1 bottle of Soju per day but less flow. In liver function test, AST/ALT were 27/28 IU/l and $\gamma-GT$ was 456 IU/l. In blood test, Hb : 11.5 g/dl, Hct : 34.0% and basophilic stipplings were found in peripheral blood smear. Chest PA was normal and abdominal ultrasonographic finding was non-specific except fatty liver. In the test of lead exposure indices, $PbB:83.0{\mu}g/dl,\;PbU:28.3{\mu}g/l$, and blood ZPP was $300.0{\mu}g/dl$. And in renal function test, BUN : 31.4 mg/dl, blood creatinine : 2.7mg/dl, blood uric acid. 9.1 mg/dl, urinary albumin : 100.0 mg/g creatinine, urinary $\alpha_1-microglobulin$ : 120.5 mg/g creatinine, urinary $\beta_2-microglobulin$ : $183.8{\mu}g/g$ creatinine, and 24 hours urinary creatinine clearance was 31.9 ml/min. The ultrasonoguided renal biopsy showed the global sclerosis of glomerulus, moderate atrophy and loss of tubule, and interstitial fibrosis in light microscopy. There were diffuse losses of brush border of proximal tubule in electronmicroscopy.

구강 편평세포암종의 반대측 예방적 경부치료 (Management of Contralateral Node Negative Neck in Oral Cavity Squamous Cell Carcinomas)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the incidence and predictive factors of contralateral occult lymph node metastasis in oral cavity squamous cell carcinomas to form a rational basis for elective contralateral neck management. Materials and Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 66 N0-2 oral cavity cancer patients undergoing elective neck dissection for contralateral clinically negative necks from 1991 to 2003. Results: Clinically negative but pathologically positive contralateral lymph nodes occurred in 11%(7 of 66) . Of the 11 cases with a clinically ipsilateral node positive neck, contralateral occult lymph node metastases developed in 36%(4 of 10, in contrast with 5%(3/55) in the cases with clinically ipsilateral node negative necks(p<0.05). Based on the clinical staging of the tumor, 8%(3 of 37) of the cases showed lymph node metastases in T2 tumors, 25%(2 of 8) in T3, and 18%(2 of 11) in T4. None of the T1 tumors(10 cases) had pathologically positive lymph nodes. The rate of contralateral occult neck metastasis was significantly higher in advanced stage cases and those crossing the midline, compared to early stage or unilateral lesions(p<0.05). Patients with no evidence of contralateral nodal cancer had significantly improved disease-specific survival over patients with any pathologically positive nodes(5-year disease-specific survival rate was 79% vs. 43%, p<0.05). Conclusion: The risk of contralateral occult neck involvement in the oral cavity squamous cell carcinomas above the T3 stage or those crossing the midline with unilateral metastases was high. Therefore, we advocate an elective contralateral neck treatment with surgery or radiotherapy in oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma patients with ipsilateral node metastases or tumors that are greater than stage T3 or crossing the midline.

골관절염 환자를 위한 타이치 운동그룹과 타이치 자조관리 그룹의 효과 비교분석 (Comparing Effects of Tai-Chi Self-help Program and Tai-Chi Exercise in Osteoarthritis Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to compare the effects of Tai Chi self-help program and Tai Chi exercise in patients with osteoarthritis. Methods: quasi experimental design was utilized for the study to compare the effects after implementing tai chi self-help program and Tai Chi exercise for 6 weeks. The subjects of the study was osteoarthritis patients who visited to two Public Health Centers in Gyunggi-do from August to December, 2005. Total of 25 OA patients agreed to participate in the study, and 10 tai chi self-help program group and 9 Tai Chi exercise group were included for the final analysis after 6 weeks. Tai Chi self-help program was provided twice a week, 2 hours per session (one hour for tai chi exercise, one hour for self help program) for 6 weeks, and Tai Chi exercise group was provided once a week, 2 hours per session for 6 weeks. Outcome measures include flexibility, 6 m walking, and balance. Mann-Whitney U test of SPSS WIN 11.0 was utilized to compare the group differences. Results: The subjects of both program participants were not improved in their arm flexibility, and the difference was not significant. Tai chi self-help group improved more in their 6 m walking ability than Tai Chi exercise group, but the difference was not significant (F=.000, p>.05). Tai chi self-help group improved more in their balance than Tai Chi exercise group, but the difference was not significant (Rt: U=.24, p>.05; Lt: F=2.60, p>.05). Conclusion: The provision of both Tai Chi self-help program and Tai Chi exercise can lead improvement of 6 m walking, and balance, but the group difference was not significant. A rigorous research design should be further utilized to identify the potential benefits for this population.
