  • Motion segmentation is a fundamental technique for analysing image sequences of real scenes. A process of identifying moving objects from data is a typical task in many computer vision applications. In this paper, we propose motion segmentation that generally consists from background subtraction and foreground pixel segmentation. The Approximated Median Filter (AMF) was chosen to perform background modeling. Motion segmentation in this paper covers RGB video data.

  • Human Pose Estimation (HPE) which localizes the human body joints becomes a high potential for high-level applications in the field of computer vision. The main challenges of HPE in real-time are occlusion, illumination change and diversity of pose appearance. The single RGB image is fed into HPE framework in order to reduce the computation cost by using depth-independent device such as a common camera, webcam, or phone cam. However, HPE based on the single RGB is not able to solve the above challenges due to inherent characteristics of color or texture. On the other hand, depth information which is fed into HPE framework and detects the human body parts in 3D coordinates can be usefully used to solve the above challenges. However, the depth information-based HPE requires the depth-dependent device which has space constraint and is cost consuming. Especially, the result of depth information-based HPE is less reliable due to the requirement of pose initialization and less stabilization of frame tracking. Therefore, this paper proposes a new method of HPE which is robust in estimating self-occlusion. There are many human parts which can be occluded by other body parts. However, this paper focuses only on head self-occlusion. The new method is a combination of the RGB image-based HPE framework and the depth information-based HPE framework. We evaluated the performance of the proposed method by COCO Object Keypoint Similarity library. By taking an advantage of RGB image-based HPE method and depth information-based HPE method, our HPE method based on RGB-D achieved the mAP of 0.903 and mAR of 0.938. It proved that our method outperforms the RGB-based HPE and the depth-based HPE.

  • This paper proposes color databases that can be used for various purposes for people with a color vision deficiency (CVD). The purpose of this paper is to group colors within the sRGB gamut into the CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ color space using the Brettel algorithm to simulate the representative colors of each group into colors visible to people with a CVD, and to establish a confusion line database by comparing colors that might cause confusion for people with different types of color vision deficiency. The validity of the established confusion lines were verified by using an Ishihara chart. The different colors that confuse those with a CVD in an Ishihara chart are located in the same confusion line database for both protanopia and deutanopia. Instead of the 3D RGB color space, we have grouped confusion colors to the CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ space coordinates in a more distinctive and intuitive manner, and can establish a database of colors that can be perceived by people with a CVD more accurately. • In this paper, we proposed Channel allocation scheme according to the user's location with IR. In VLC System, LED can generate various colors of light by controlling the mixing ratio of each individual RGB color element. Thus, each RGB channel will have a different signal power, and each channel will have different performance. This proposed system using Visible light(RGB) as way to transmit signals, it depends on the mixture RGB, which decided the color of light, moreover, each things determined their performance. However, if the signal were fixed allocated RGB to transmit such as the original system, the importance of the each signals a different occur the limit on the quality of signals. To solve this problem in this paper, according to the RGB mixture ratios analyze the performance for the LED, which analyzed based on allocating the signal by transmitting to improve the quality was about how researched. In addition, our proposed system is able to improve the performance of BER and satisfied the Qos to desire users.

  • This paper proposes a color sample selection method that produces a uniform distribution in the display gamut plus a color reproduction method for using a uniform color sample In contrast to the conventional method, the proposed uniform color samples are selected m CIELAB, a device-independent color space, instead of RGB (red, green, and yellow) or CMY (cyan, magenta, and yellow) space, device-dependent color spaces To evaluate the performance of the proposed color samples, they were applied to color space conversion using both a regression model and neural network As a result, in the case of a color sample of the same size, the color space conversion method using the proposed samples showed a lower color difference for color conversions using either neural or regression.

  • It is difficult to use a recognition algorithm of an image in a foggy environment because the color and edge information is removed. One of the famous defogging algorithm is haze removal by using 'Dark Channel Prior(DCP)' which is used to predict for transmission rate using color information of an image and eliminates fog from the image. However, in case that the image has factors such as sunset or yellow dust, there is overemphasized problem on the color of certain channel after haze removal. Furthermore, in case that the image includes an object containing high RGB channel, the transmission related to this area causes a misestimated issue. In this paper, we purpose an enhanced fog elimination algorithm by using improved color normalization and haze rate revision which correct mis-estimation haze area on the basis of color information and edge information of an image. By eliminating the color distortion, we can obtain more natural clean image from the haze image.

  • Recently, PC monitor users have been replacing cathode ray tubes (CRT) with liquid crystal displays (LCD). But the chromaticity of the primaries are dependent on RGB input signals. And the colorimetry of LCD changes with gray scale and has a poor peformance in color reproduction. In this paper we propose the enhanced algorithm of color reproduction considering color leakage error and black subpixel error in LCD. In order to test peformance of this algorithm we use the colors of Macbeth colorcheck. As a result of experiments, it was confirmed that the color difference of the LCD using the proposed algorithm was considerably reduced.
