RFID technology plays an important role in building a ubiquitous environment. As RFID tags are widely used, it is necessary to enhance the performance of massive tag writes. A tag write tends to fail since it is performed through the weak radio wave communication. In this paper, we propose a write scheme that to enhance the performance of massive RFID tag writes. In proposed scheme, tag writes performed in parallel by multiple readers connected to a middleware. Write operations are distributed among readers and tags are written in groups. We show that proposed scheme can increase the success ratio of massive tag writes through experimental tests.

RFID is applied in various industry area. The purpose of RFID system is authentication of objects. After Tag's certification, RFID system start to process to be wanted. A RFID electric motor recognizes Tag's action and tails. The application of this system is very wide. For example, a cart in shopping Mall follows customer with a proper Tag. Customer may be very convenient if the cart follows customer autonomously as recognizing the direction of Tag. In this parer, we studied about RFID system that follow objects with a Tag. Finally, we experimented and analysed the proposed system, with Tag, Reader, host computer and electric motion motors.
In this paper, different RFID tag types compliant with UHF frequency based RFID system were chosen to build RFID tag embedded concrete blocks. Then, by placing the tags in systematically varied depths of a concrete block, we could measure the RF signal attenuation pattern as the performance indicator of a specific concrete embedded RFID system. Experiments show that the concrete mixing ratio makes no significant difference in tag detection performance level. The significance of the developed RFID system lies in its capability of eliminating GPS's error and shadow area as well as providing smart infrastructure for supporting truly pervasive ubiquitous computing applications especially in outdoor environment.

In this paper, we examined the operating principle of a passive tag antenna for RFID system in UHF band. Based on the study, we proposed a novel RFID tag antenna which adopts the inductively coupled feeding structure to match antenna impedance to a capacitively loaded commercial tag chip. The proposed tag antenna consists of microstrip lines on a thin PET substrate for low-cost fabrication. The detail structure of the tag antenna were optimized using a full electromagnetic wave simulator of IE3D in conjunction with a Pareto genetic algorithm, and the size of the tag antenna can be reduced up to kr=0.27(2 cm2). We built some sample antennas and measured the antenna characteristics such as a return loss, an efficiency, and radiation patterns. The readable range of the tag antenna with a commercial RFID system showed about 1 to 3 m.
We designed a track circuit of Tag in-tag out type that can be used for light rails and monorails. This method is called RFID-Tag and it literally uses RFID-Tag and replaces a fixed track circuit and implements a moving block. The distance between RFID-Tags is set to the length of a train and thus a train is always in contact with one of the tags. A train runs in RFID-Tag in -RFID-Tag out type at all times and the distance between trains can be precisely controlled through the application of a moving block combined with the basic principle of a fixed block, which enables the continuous speed control and enhances the satisfaction of passengers. When constructing a track circuit using RFID-Tag the Tag in-tag out brings us the cost reduction and is more economical than the existing fixed track circuit in that sense and easy for installation and maintenance. The wireless communication between onboard and wayside makes the continuous control possible and can improve the control capacity of ATP/ATO by the implementation of a moving block on top of a fixed one.
This paper analyzes the tag data inconsistency problem caused by incomplete execution of the tag access operation to the RFID tag's memory and proposes a protocol to control consistent tag data accesses with finalizing the incomplete operation. Passive RFID tag cannot guarantee complete execution of the tag access operations because of uncertainty and unexpected disconnection of RF communications. This leads to the tag data inconsistency problem. To handle this, we propose a concurrency control protocol which defines incomplete tag operations as continuous queries and monitors the tags're-observation continuously. The protocol finalizes the incomplete operation when the tag is re-observed while it blocks inconsistent data accesses from other operations. We justify the proposed protocol by analyzing the completeness and consistency. The experiments show that the protocol shows better performance than the traditional lock-based concurrency control protocol.

RFID technologies have attracted a lot of attention in recent years because of their cost/time-effectiveness in large-scale logistics, supply chain management (SCM) and other various potential applications. One of the most important issues of the RFID-based systems is how quickly tags can be identified. Tag collision arbitration plays a more critical role in determining the system performance especially for passive tag-based ones where tag collisions are dealt with rather than prevented. We present a novel tag collision arbitration protocol called Optimum Frame-Slotted Aloha (OFSA). The protocol has been designed to achieve time-optimal efficiency in tag identification through an analytic study of tag identification delay and tag number estimation. Results from our analysis and extensive simulations demonstrate that OFSA outperforms other collision arbitration protocols. Also, unlike most prior anti-collision protocols, it does not require any modification to the current standards and architectures facilitating the rollout of RFID systems.

A RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) system Is a kind of Radio Frequency Communication System and a branch of Automatic Data Collection System. The RFID System is composed of RF Tag(or Transponder) and RFID Reader(controller). This paper deal with Wireless communications that acquired RF Tag ID by RFID reader, and then target system will transmit Tag ID to RFID Server through the internet using Wireless LAN. The RFID system of Todays are commonly used by a wired RFID system. In this system uses commonly used Wireless LAN, and then we can connect the internet if we have a AP(Wireless Lan Access Point). Internet connection can make a transmission of RF Tag ID, and can make a reception of returning data that are images or information.

An UHF RFID tag is designed and fabricated using the national code in a bar-code with conductive ink. The bar-code sample was taken from a general bar-code from a general box. The conductivity of the conductive ink was measured, and the measured conductivity was used for the simulation tool to design the printed bar-code shape tag antenna. The tag antenna was fabricated using T-matching to reduce the size of the tag, and the bar-code tag antenna is recognized by both a general bar-code reader and an UHF RFID reader. The input reflection coefficient characteristic, the reading range pattern and the reading rate of the tag antenna are measured.

In this paper it was introduced that embedded RFID Reader /Writer system including PXA255 ARM chip which enables the Tag signal to be used by data and video processing via IEEE 802.11 communication protocol. Embedded RFID R/W middle ware was developed which transmit the searched result in the data base using the received Tag signal via IEEE 802.11 communication protocol. Developed embedded RFID R/W system was composed of three parts - PXA255 ARM chid (Core Part) 13.56 MHz RFID Reader /Writer, wireless LAN for data communication with server and TFT-LCD terminal. Once this system receives the Tag signal through the serial port, it transmits the data through the wireless LAN to the server and it displays the received image data which was processed by the server onto the TFT-LCD screen. Embedded RFID R/W Middle ware transmits the received Tag signal from RFID R/W to the embedded system, which activates the socket program to connect to the window server via IEEE 802.11 communication protocol and transmits the Tag signal. Window server program searches the Database using this Tag information and displays the result on to the TFT-LCD window in the embedded system via IEEE 802.11 protocol.
