Modern corporations are faced with widespread, dynamic and accelerating changes. To better cope with the external and internal changes, corporations often utilize information technologies such as RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification). To date, RFID research has mainly focused on adoption strategies and intention on RFID, construction case. The purpose of this study is to examine qualitative and quantitative performance on RFID. To validate the research model proposed in the study, filed survey was conducted with 67 in company using RFID. Then, we compare their quantitative financial results after the introduction of RFID in order to measure the performance of the RFID. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the relation among qualitative factors showed significant correlations. Second, the difference of financial metrics was existed after the adopting RFID. Third, significant difference was observed among financial ratio. Fourth, the correlation between qualitative and quantitative performance showed no significant relations.

With the application enlargement of RFID technology in the field of logistics, it is needed to analyze the relation adoption factors of RFID with logistics performance. That is, this study aims at analyzing how RFID adoption would give an effect to logistics performance in logistics company, stating its implications. More specifically, this study tests empirical relation of CEO's support, technical competence, trading partner, compatibility, relative advantage and logistics performance of applying RFID in logistics company. Based on previous studies which are related to RFID in the field of SCM, logistics, distribution and manufacturing, this study established research model and hypothesis, and surveyed employees of logistics company. To analyze the data, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model were applied. The results are follows. Applying RFID in logistics, CEO's support and trading partner gives significantly positive effect to logistics performance. But compatibility and relative advantage do not give meaningful effect to logistics performance. Additionally, though technical competence does not have statistical significance to logistics performance, it is necessary to consider it can have meaningful influence on logistics performance substantially.

This study analyzed the correlation between RFID acceptance intention and application, and as a result, extracted the technical stability, system quality and security of RFID as factors that affect the intention of receiving RFID in container terminal gate through preliminary research. This analysis was done on individuals engaged in container terminals which are in operation by adopting RFID in container terminal gate presently, and by distributing totally 255 copies of questionnaire survey, 248 copies were collected. As a result of statistical analysis of this study, the following conclusions were made: First, the technical stability of RFID acceptance in container terminal gate was not statistically significantly high. Second, the system quality and the security of RFID acceptance in container terminal gate were statistically significantly high. Finally, container terminal gate RFID technology acceptance intention was statistically significantly high in application performance.

The absence of a concrete method for economic analysis is one of the main reasons that the RFID is not so widespread. Through literature survey and a case study of a courier service company we propose a novel method of economic justification including cost and benefit analysis. In order to reflect the uncertainties caused by the RFID technology itself and the estimated investment cost, we propose optimistic, conservative and pessimistic estimations of benefits and a sensitivity analysis of investment costs. This paper may contribute the systematic evaluation of cost and benefit of RFID adoption.

RFID기술의 발전과 더불어 RFID 미들웨어 시스템의 중요성은 커지고 있으나 가용성 제공 수준은 아직 미흡하다. 현재 출시된 RFID 미들웨어 시스템은 가용성을 제공한다 하더라도 범위가 한정되거나 범용성이 없는 자사 기술 집약적인 형태를 보인다. 현 기술 현황으로는 다양한 도메인과 다양한 수준에서의 가용성을 보장하기란 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 가용성 관리를 위한 프레임웍을 제공함으로써 프레임윅을 기반으로 RFID 미들웨어 시스템의 가용성을 보장하는 방안을 제시한다. 가용성 관리 프레임웍은 가용성 보장을 위한 기본 로직을 프레임웍을 통해 제공하므로 RFID 미들웨어 시스템은 원하는 수준의 가용성을 보장 받을 수 있다. 가용성 관리 프레임웍을 통한 가용성 제공은 재사용성, 확장성, 유연성, 이식성의 장점을 지니며 가용성을 보장하는 RFID 미들웨어 시스템 구현에 대한 용이성을 제공할 것이다.

본 연구의 목적은 RFID의 도입 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인과 조직의 혁신성의 조절효과를 분석하는 연구모형과 가설을 제시하는데 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 RFID에 관한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 RFID 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 기술적 특성에는 표준화, 지각된 보안, 지각된 비용, 조직적 특성에는 최고경영층의 지원, 재정적 지원, 기술적 지원, 환경적 특성에는 모방적 압력, 강제적 압력, 규범적 압력으로 설정하였고, RFID는 BSC 성과를 이용하여 재무성과, 프로세스성과, 학습/성장성과, 고객성과로 설정하였다. 그리고 조직의 혁신성을 이용하여 혁신적인 조직은 RFID 도입요인과 도입 성과에 어떠한 영향을 주는지에 대한 연구모형을 설정하였다. 향후 연구에서는 이러한 연구모형과 가설에 대한 실증분석이 요구된다.

최근 RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)기술은 다양한 분야에서 관심을 받고 사용되고 있으며 RFID 리더의 종류도 매우 다양하다. 이러한 RFID 리더들을 지원하기 위해 RFID 미들웨어는 리더에서 지속적으로 발생하는 데이터를 수집, 제어, 관리하는 기능을 가지고 있으며 다양한 형태의 RFID 리더 인터페이스를 지원하여 이기종 RFID 리더와의 연동을 용이하게 한다. 현재 표준 규약에 따른 RFID 미들웨어들이 개발되고 있으며 RFID 표준 단체인 EPCglobal에서는 EPC (Electronic Product Code) 처리 시스템에서 RFID 태그를 인식한 리더가 애플리케이션 계층으로 데이터를 전달하는 역할을 하는 ALE (Application Level Events)라는 RFID 미들웨어를 제시하였다. 그러나 표준을 따르는 RFID 미들웨어는 그 자체가 복잡하고 부피가 크며 가격이 높기 때문에 이를 기반으로 한 시스템은 개발 속도가 늦어지고, 유지보수가 힘들어진다. 따라서 한 기업 내에서 사용되는 애플리케이션의 크기가 소규모 또는 중규모인 경우를 위해 보다 가벼운 RFID 미들웨어가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 RFID 리더를 처리하기 위한 리더 매니저와 애플리케이션의 목적에 맞는 이벤트를 생성하는 쿼리 매니저를 가진 경량의 RFID 미들웨어를 개발하고자 한다. 리더 매니저는 RFID 리더를 관리하기 위한 추상 어댑터를 제공하고 리더 구성 XML 파일을 이용하여 RFID 리더를 관리한다. 쿼리 매니저는 질의 조건을 주기적으로 체크하는 스케줄러를 통해 RFID 이벤트를 관리한다. 본 경량적 RFID 미들웨어는 하드웨어의 투명성을 지원하며, 유지보수가 용이하고 유연성과 확장성을 제공하는 RFID 애플리케이션을 개발할 수 있도록 해준다.

This paper demonstrates that an attacker can impersonate a random RFID tag and then perform the spoofing attack in the previous RFID authentication protocol. To resolve such a security problem, we also propose a new secure and efficient RFID mutual authentication protocol. The proposed RFID mutual authentication protocol is not only to resolve many security problems with the existing RFID authentication mechanism and the vulnerability against spoofing attack, but also to guarantee reliable authentication time as reducing computational overhead performing by tag. As a result, the proposed RFID mutual authentication protocol provides stronger security including the forward secrecy and more efficiency.

A empirical study investigating firms' attitudes and behaviors regarding of RFID technology within supply chain is very limited. Thus, this study examines the determinants influencing firms' adoption and performance of RFID within the supply chain. Particularly, this study focus on the impacts of the companies' relationship characteristics, including strategic fit, interdependence, compatibility, and long-term orientation affection RFID adoption and performance within the supply chain. Furthermore, the study includes environment uncertainty as a moderating effect between relationship characteristics and RFID adoption. The proposed research model was tested using structural equation modeling from 227 employees. Results of this study support the proposed hypotheses. The implication of this study suggest a new theoretical framework explaining RFID adoption and performance with the supply chain.

This paper is about adult certification on Mobile RFID Service Environments coming through the combination of RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) technology, as the core technology of ubiquitous environments, and mobile telecommunication technology. To overcome the shortcoming of simple adult certification on current internet, we suggest a framework for content-based classification and propose an adult certification system using it. At first, we explain conventional methods for adult certification, and show a criteria of content-based classification for preventing an exposure of adult contents from minors. Additionally, we describe data structure and system for the proposed adult certification on mobile RFID environment, and finish it with concluding remarks.
