UHF RFID Tag Using National Code in a Bar-code Using Conductive Ink (도전성 잉크를 사용한 바코드의 국가코드 모양 UHF RFID 태그 안테나)

  • An UHF RFID tag is designed and fabricated using the national code in a bar-code with conductive ink. The bar-code sample was taken from a general bar-code from a general box. The conductivity of the conductive ink was measured, and the measured conductivity was used for the simulation tool to design the printed bar-code shape tag antenna. The tag antenna was fabricated using T-matching to reduce the size of the tag, and the bar-code tag antenna is recognized by both a general bar-code reader and an UHF RFID reader. The input reflection coefficient characteristic, the reading range pattern and the reading rate of the tag antenna are measured.

  • In this paper, a QT_rev protocol is proposed for identifying all the tags within the identification range. The proposed QT_rev protocol revises the QT protocol, which has a memoryless property. In the QT_rev protocol, the tag will send the remaining bits of their identification codes when the query string matches the first bits of their identification codes. After the reader receives all the responses of the tags, it knows which bit is collided. If the collision occurs in the last bit, the reader can identify two tags simultaneously without further query. According to the simulation results, the QT_rev protocol outperforms the QT protocol in terms of the number of queries and the number of response bits.

  • Using single carrier frequency RFID system in one-to-multiple wireless communications, might be generated data loss because of data collisions. Conventional Anti-collision method prevent data loss from data collisions which are binary tree method and ALOHA. However, those two preventive measures also have week points which are strongly dependent on the time and space when passing through the recognition area. This paper suggests the full-length instruction code method which fits in to half-duplex method, prevents data collision effectively by calculating the non-transmitting time of multiple tags considering approaching time to the recognition area. After full-length instruction code method test using 13.56MHz bandwidth RFID system shows that full-length instruction code method could make better result than any other methods. Moreover, the record shows O(n) result after analyzing O-notation of conventional time-domain procedure.

  • EPC는 RFID 태그용으로 개발된 차세대 식별코드체계지만 유통물류 분야를 비롯해 전 산업 분야에서 GTIN을 비롯한 EAN/UCC 식별코드도 EPC 체계에 수용될 수 있도록 방안이 마련되어 있어 향 후 바코드를 대체할 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 바코드시스템과 메타코딩 체제로서 이미 사용 중인 코드체제와 필요에 의해 새롭게 개발되는 코드체계를 모두 수용할 수 있는 EPC코드시스템에 대하여 고찰하고 농산물코드를 EPC코드로 변환하는 방안에 대하여 기술한다.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is a technology that automatically identifies objects attached with electronic tags by using radio wave. For the implementation of an RFID system, an anti-collision algorithm is required to identify several tags within the RFID reader's range. Few researches report the performance trade-off among anti-collision algorithms in terms of the communications traffic between the reader and tags, the identification speed, and so on. In this paper, we analyze both tree based memoryless algorithms and slot aloha based algorithms that comprise of almost every class of existing anti-collision algorithms. To compare the performance, we evaluated each class of anti-collision algorithms with respect to low-cost RFID system with 96-bit EPC(Electronic Product Code). The results show that the collision tracking tree algorithm outperforms current tree based and aloha based algorithms by at least 2 times to 50 times.

  • 모바일 RFID 는 휴대폰에 UHF RFID 리더를 내장함으로써 현재 개념 단계인 유비쿼터스 기술을 실생활에 밀접한 현재 기술로 만들 수 있는 전세계적으로 최초로 시도되고 있는 주요 기술이다. 모바일 RFID 테스트베드는 태그테스트베드와 모바일 RFID 리더 테스트베드, 모바일 RFID 미들웨어 테스트베드, RFID 코드 해석(리졸루션)을 위한 ODS 서버 테스트베드 등으로 구성된다. 모바일 RFID 테스트베드에서는 위의 시스템들이 CDMA 무선인터넷망과 유선인터넷망을 통하여 연결되고 정의된 프로토콜에 따라 통신이 이루어지도록 하여 시스템 요소 기술의 검증 및 상호 연계 테스트를 지원함으로써, 모바일 RFID 기술 및 서비스의 상용화 개발을 지원한다.
